Nice hostel and it is near night plaza”
A hostel is near Night Plaza and Top supermarket. You can take an airport bus in front of Macdonald that is far from the hostel by walking 5 minutes. You can find good restaurants around here. Staffs are friendly.
Very nice staff. Noisy room.”
Very high marks for the staff, who were extremely friendly and attentive. Nice little hostel, tucked away in a quiet courtyard off of a busy main road, a very short walk to the Night Market. Only problem was our private room directly overlooked the main road and as a result was quite noisy at night from the passing cars.
Room is big enough for guests to walk around (dorm). They give you a padlock 🔐 for a locker big enough for a backpack 🎒 or small luggage 🧳. Towel (old). The staff makes your bed after every one is out. They turn off the ac around 10am till 5pm. There are about 7-8 shower/WCs (shared). They offer basic toiletries for free. Hairdryer. Big living space and veranda. Big dining area. Free toasts/waffles boiled eggs🥚 and jams and tea or coffee. Realities It’s seen its heyday. They advertise as a “posh” hotel, it’s an ok hostel. I wouldn’t mind staying here again. The building itself is kinda old already, although the dining fixtures are cool. They have the tiniest ref, ever, which needs defrosting. Can’t put anything. But-they have an ice maker- so cheers to cold beer 🍻, or iced tea. Theee a coffee shop nearby and during night there are a couple of street vendors in about 2-3 blocks. It is 2 km away from the temple where the Sunday market is held. One can ride the local red Jeep. 30b
Nice hostel ”
The hostel was very clean and staff at counter were helpful and friendly. 24 hours pantry open with snacks and drinks provided. Room was super clean. Even the shared bathrooms were clean. Exceed expectations and nicely decorated. Only drawback was my private room was full of mosquitoes. And the shower was not hot in my ensuite.
Poshtel has a superb location right around the corner from the night bazaar. Staffs are friendly enough to help me with scooter booking due to urgency. Room was clean every day and bed & comfortable to rest after a full day outing. Toilet was exceptionally beautiful with all the necessities provided. They offer free breakfast and have fantastic coffee. You also get free and unlimited bottles of water and snacks(crackers and cookies). Laundry available for 100 baht(includes soap). Love this place and will definitely come back again.
Posh bathrooms, nothing else”
The hostel is good but I paid over double what I could’ve paid elsewhere and don’t really feel like it was worth it. The bathrooms however were amazing! The free breakfast was so so, I hoped for more with it being a “poshtel”. Bread to make your own toast, cold waffles, hard boiled eggs, jam and very tiny pieces of watermelon. Ok 👍🏼
May be hard to locate the hotel in the first instance as it’s hidden inside an alley. The staff are friendly and helpful in arranging tours and transport; the tuk tuk driver is honest and considerate (although not fluent in English, he tried at best to drop us at where we wanted to go). Clean room, clean linen and clean private bathroom. As our unit faces the balcony, we were able to hear the outside conversation quite clearly; same goes for the cigarette smell.
Hara from USA”
Loved the location set back a block from the main street. Close enough to everything, but also quiet so you could get a good night's sleep.
There's no indication that washroom is outside the ordered room, which we found quite frustrating ”
- The above should be included in the rokm details - staff, Kanoon is very helpful in assisting traveller like us. It makes us felt really at home. STrips need more people like him 🤗. Kudos Kanoon 👍🏻
Very nice hostel ”
This hostel is very nice. The staffs are so friendly. Location is good.
The hostel’s bed is so comfy! Everything is clean and facilities are awesome. Too bad there wasn’t much social to talk about.
Best hostel I've ever stay in Chiangmai”
Very clean, Staff are very good. They provide you breakfast. The signal for wifi also very fast and covered most of the areas. I went there with 7 of my friends including me. However, we were booked just 6 and wanted to stay together at the same room. So the staff asked whether we can fit it in one room as others rooms and hostel around there also full. They even provided me towels and breakfast for free. This is very good place to stay for a couples of nights. As well as that, the toilet also provided you soap, shampoo, hair dryer and even tooth brush and tooth paste for individual. So if you forgot to bring it, they all have it here for you for free. Further than that, the location of the hostel is just 5-8 mins walk to night bazaar where it has many street food with a reasonable price around there. The staff can recommended you where to visit in Chiangmai as well as how can we get there in a cheaper price. All in all, i would definitely visit this place again ;)
The price and the staffs are highly recommended”
The price and the staffs are highly recommended. The breakfast is good and the facilities are new. Plus, the wifi is really fast!however the location is closed to the road so it might kinda noise in the evening. Besides, there is deposit required 1000thb but will give u back while u return the keys and towels. After all my frd and I still like this place so much.
Very Comfy Beds!! Great Location!! Very Hospitable Staff!!”
I am a solo traveler from New York City. Poshtel has a superb location right around the corner from the night bazaar. There is a reputable scooter company right next door. My bed had a thick white comforter and soft mattress. The room was cleaned everyday. They offer free breakfast and have fantastic coffee. You also get free and unlimited bottles of water and snacks(crackers and cookies). You can wash and dry your clothes for 100 baht(includes soap). The owner and staff went out of there way to be kind and hospitable. They really have created a wonderful atmosphere. I highly recommend this place.
Perfect Hotel with the best staff”
Room was perfect: clean, nice-looking, beds were very comfy. Breakfast: one daily Menue for free, but also other food can be bought. If you have to leave early, you get a perfect lunchpaket. Staff: one Word: they are the BEST
Most comfortable hostel ever! ”
This poshtel (hostel + posh) looks exactly like the pictures they have on their website!! I had the best sleep in the most comfortable bed with a really nice comforter. The place is cleaned every day. You get complimentary toothbrush, toothpaste, and even a shower cap! There's free water which is a big plus and they also have ice. Dee (I think that's how you spell her name) was very helpful in helping me get a red car to explore some of the wats and also when I needed to get to the bus station. The washer/dryer is convenient and costs 100 baht. It's a fairly new hostel (about a year old I think) and I hope it continues to stay as clean as it is! Also, the hair dryers are the best! Would definitely recommend :)
Was a bit skeptical at first when we saw the sign to the hotel as the surroundings were quite run down but tucked in the little corner was a super hipster and clean hotel. The rooms and the hotel itself was very clean, location was great as it is right next to the night bazaar, staff spoke very fluent english and were very friendly. Breakfast is cooked and served only when you go down in the morning, though the portion was a bit small the food was great. Free flow bottled water, coffee and tea throughout the stay. Very nice ambience in the rooms and along the corridors (with a nice open balcony too). Common area had a TV with a wide selection of cds and some board games as well. For the family room, the double decker bed does not have a railing hence it could be dangerous for children to sleep on the upper bunk. The room only had a small window hence there was no view. But overall the sheets were clean and we had a well rested 2 night stay. Would definitely recommend and book this place again when i'm back in CM!
Creative and Clean Space”
When I saw the pictures online, I had to see for myself. When I entered, the cool, fresh smell in the lobby and the black and white themed decor was true to my expectation. The enthusiastic staff were helpful, friendly, and passionate about their new business. Everything was new, very clean, and perfect for my small budget. I will have to plan another trip back soon, just to return to this comfortable community hostel.
They surprised me on my birthday !”
The day I leave was my birthday and they surprised me during checked out with a cake and birthday song .I felt so warmed and touched .Never thought that people who don't actually know you would do you these ! The staff and the owner are so helpful and nice ! I love their toilet and the balcony so much .I was attracted by the balcony actually !Lol ! The Poshtel is still new ,some works is still in progressing ,however that does not disturb our stay .Complimentary drinking water is provided .Strips the Poshtel will be my choice again when I come to Chiang Mai ! ;)
Clean and cosy hostel with decent location.”
The hostel had a pretty good location, which was near the night market, massage palours and a shopping mall. The room was cosy and clean, but the bathroom sink had a nasty sewage smell that wouldn't go away. Other than that, do take note that if you have luggages this might not be a good location as they do not have an elevator to transport you to the various floors.
