Great value for money and location”
Not on the main road so easily missed the first time but Google maps took us there alright (through the backroads). Having said that, it is located in New Bagan and close to restaurants. When we were there the hotel was throwing an annual party for their staff on their rooftop patio. I would assume you could dine there watching the sunset at other times. We had a huge spacious room enough for us to roll around in. Breakfast by the pool had a decent variety of choices

very nice, if not over the top”
we stayed here last minute through Agoda. They had trouble finding out booking but were pleasant. the pool area is nice (cold), breakfast great, our room was huge. nice tub. Water ran rusty like the room hadn't been used much. The detailing is almost comical, but a fun regal stay. The location is a bit of a walk to the restaurants "downtown" - only because there is no real sidewalk. but the location to the temples is great. you can see some from the roof.

A High Price for Poor Hospitality”
To celebrate my birthday, my girlfriend and I decided to splurge and book the 'Royal Deluxe Suite' for two nights. While the hotel and room were beautiful, we left very unsatisfied with our stay, especially considering the considerable price we paid. On the first day of our stay, we ordered two cocktails to be delivered to our room, which at $5 a piece were quite pricey for Myanmar-standards. One of them was not the cocktail we had ordered, but, since we were not able to communicate this to the lady who delivered them, we decided to accept it. Later in the day, one of the martini glasses fell of the bedside table and broke. While picking up the pieces, my girlfriend cut her finger on a shard. It immediately began to bleed profusely, so she grabbed a bath towel in order to avoid the blood reaching and staining the carpet. THIS was obviously a mistake, as we were charged $10 for the towel at check-out and an additional $3 for the broken glass. This is outrageous. Furthermore, on our second evening, we were unable to sleep because the staff celebrated their annual holiday party on the roof of the hotel - right above our room 2004. Of course, I don't begrudge them enjoying the holiday spirit, but this entailed disturbingly loud party music, men yelling on speakers and crashing footsteps on Christmas day eve/ my birthday! This was especially annoying because we had to wake up early the next morning to catch a flight. Despite calling reception multiple times, the noise continued until 23.30!!! On top of that, after clarifying we should check out in the morning (around 06:00) and being told it would be okay, we were held up to almost miss our flight due to these unexpected charges. As somebody employed in the service industry, this treatment of guests is absolutely unacceptable. Definitely do not recommend this hotel! Stayed December 2016, traveled as a couple

Helpful staff”
pool. Bagan and service
From arrival the staff were very helpful and paid attention to our every need. They hotel is a 3 star hotel and it fulfils all the needs of a 3 star hotel. Pool facility was awesome, the room was clean. One night we asked the staff for directions to a restaurant and they told us where to go, minutes after we started walking the manager showed up with his own car and dropped us at the restaurant. It was very kind of him. We offered to give him money but he refused. We were surprised and thankful.

Overall poor, stay somewhere else!”
Good wifi, nice view from the roof, reactive staff
We really regret booking this hotel for our stay in Bagan. Once you pass the entrance, the hotel looks tired and dirty. The swimming pool really could do with a clean (grime marking the water level, cigarette butts on the floor, food trays left there all afternoon before anyone bothers clearing them...) and without having staff available in case you want to order a drink or food... When we checked in, there were no towels, the toiletries were half used the bedsheets were dirty/stained, and we counted a total of 4 spiders hanging in the room and bathroom. Once the staff was made aware of this, they sorted it immediately and apologised, but still. The bed seemed broken and the bed linen seemed to just be lots of single sheets on top of each other covering the mattress...very uncomfortable! On the 1st night, we were woken up by the breakfast staff chattering and laughing sat outside our room at 5am, waiting to start their shift. The breakfast includes baked beans and croissants...but they are cold and stale. The table linen is dirty and doesnt get changed or cleaned from one day to the next. We also ordered some nibbles and cocktails...and i must say the mojito ($6) was the worst i've ever tasted! Couldnt even drink it as it contained dirty/spolit mint leaves. When i complained and refused to pay for it, they shrugged and said "i'm not sure what a mojito is meant to be like". The location is good if you want to be far away from everything, but it will be an issue if you want to get some decent food somewhere. I would definitely NOT recommend this place, it's dirty and awful.

Maravilhoso!”
