A beautiful island renowned for its natural forest, white sandy beach, and crystal clear waters houses Suanya Koh Kood Resort & Spa, a well respected establishment. With a private beach available exclusively for guest use, you can make the most of your time under the sun. Common seasonal activities enjoyed here are snorkeling, visiting the Klong Chao Waterfall, hiking, fishing, canoeing, and much more. relaxing stay in paradise”
Very much enjoyed the stay at this resort as a group, we had a large room with an extra bed and had plenty of room for everyone, The resort was located right on the beach featuring a nice bar to kick back and chill and enjoy the surroundings, perfect choice for a relaxing time on koh kood!!
Beautiful location and island ”
We were staying here as our friends were getting married at Koh Kood Beach Resort- which is right next door. We stayed here as it was more affordable than there. The rooms were lovely and cool and a great coffee shop opposite. Convenience to the speed boat to Koh Chang. Only thing is that the restaurant or bar wasn’t open when we were there so we ate next door every night.
Need to fix the quality of clearness as they give us the dirty pillows cover in dirty yellow stain.”
We paid nearly 60 euro a night and they had give us a two dirty pillow cover in yellow stain as they cover it with pillow case that not even fit in with the pillow and we are so disappointed in the quality of cleaness and staff as we are the only two guess for the three night that we stay there and no breakfast and construction on the beach that make noise and we can't sit and swim there at all and far from everything else as you need to rent the motorcycle to get back to the busy area and about 10 km from the bar and restaurants area its OK if you not want to see anything else around the island but it's so much thing to see and do in Koh Kood so I'm not recommending for any one that can't ride the motorcycle at all.
Very beautiful setting. Not crowded. Very friendly and helpful staff. Very comfortable and very clean rooms. Safe. Nice, but small and quiet local village next door. Regarding the location - it has what you need but not too much, just right for relaxing. The only negative was the internet occasionally dropped out - no great problem, unless you are staying here to do work - but the place is perfect for relaxing. And really beautiful.
Pleasant stay at a great location on the island! ”
• Great location with own private beach • Very helpful & friendly staff • Good wifi • Own bar on the beach • Loved the inflatables available for use in the Sea - Better ventilation in the bathroom - More Tv channels available (only had one available in Thai)
Great location and comfortable rooms”
Suanya Koh Kood Resort consists of lovely two storey houses, with two separate rooms each, surrounded by nicely cultivated tropical vegetation. Our ground floor room was bright, comfortable and clean, with TV, air-condition and refrigerator. The bathroom seemed a bit damp but we changed for another room and it was perfect. Suanya has a 'spa' in the name but there is no spa service. There is, however, a beautiful private beach, beach bar and a restaurant with Wi-Fi, serving thai meals. I would recommend Suanya to all those, who are looking for a peaceful beach resort with simple but comfortable rooms.
had a great stay at the hotel, a good thai hotel, with friendly staff and a great location. if you expect a full blown western hotel with all the services and tv chanels you have back home, then this is not the place. but if you are commming to relax, hang out at the beach, read a book and can suvirve without your thursdays soap shows, and not addictet to shopping this i the place.... breakfast is nothing special, but keep you running :-) there is a few local resturants that provide you with delicus and well cooked thai food, as one resturant had on the menue speak little english, but the food is good enjoy
Nice beach in quiet Location.”
Nice, comfortable bungalows . Most of stuff not speaking english. Directly at small fisherman village with friendly people. They have small restaurant and supermarket. Otherwhise you need scooter to come around. You can rent there. Allinall good for Family and people which are stay directly at the beach.
Stinky expensive wnb highclass resort”
Stinky area. Breakfast included toast and instantcoffee. But cleaningpersonal was good - the beach is nice, but there is no bar. Far away from excellent and you don’t get what you pay for.
Big, Nice and clean rooms, friendly staff. Quiet nice beach, with a small bar.
Nice quiet hotel”
Nice hotel with it's own private beach. Rooms were very spacious and clean. The hotel is a few KM away from any restaurants and bars so you will need to rent a motor bike to get around.
Lovely little bungalows with hammock outside, private beach, very remote but absoloutely stunning beach and sunset. Snorkelling was amazing. Extremely hot.
Not more than alright”
The hotel is super secluded. Luckily there is a resort just next to it and they serve excellent food. Otherwise you have to rent a scooter to get around. We were only here for 3 days and that was enough for us at least. The rooms are nice and clean.
Bad location, but ok value”
First, the bad: located in the north of the island away from the central roads. The taxi to the central beaches was an obvious ripoff (500 baht for 3km). The hotel’s private beach is 30m long from the public pier to the rocks. Service is subpar. Don’t take Chale room, it needs a renovation and the bathroom is always wet and dirty. Take regular room (orchid 5), it looks and feels fresh and clean. The good: amazing garden on the hotel territory, more impressing than in the hotels thrice more expensive. Great sunsets. Great americano coffee with the fruity notes. If you’re on the budget or just want one night to explore the island - get any offer on the Klong Chao beach (Peter Pan themed beach), it’s easy to explore from there. Best beach is Ao Phrao.
Could do much better with what they have.”
Pros: Nice and private beach and quite nice area all around the hotel. Cons: Awful selection for breakfast, though quite common for Thailand. Staff unhelpful, don't speak English, look like they came from the street, no way to tell them apart from just regular visitors, don't wear any hotel attire etc. Very unprofessional, we saw them sleeping many times, while their beach is littered with garbage for example. The bungalows need improving, outdated, toilet smelled of urine (once flushed you could see all the liquid coming up through the tiles)
Not that great”
Didn't like the vibe. No music at the beach bar and restaurant. Lot of employees, but not really busy with guests. Speak not much english. Got ripped of when I want to book a taxi to the middle of the Island. They would charge me 600 baht. They changed booking from chalet to normal bungalow with asking or telling.
Beautiful beach and nice room but very isolated”
The service was very poor, more like unexisting. The were no proper restaurant and compared to other hotels in Koh kood it was very disappointing. The hotel is very isolated and the only way to get around is to rent a scoter. So if you do not drive, dont go there.
Was a bit to quiet for our taste but had a nice room. Good that we could rent a bike at the hotal to get to the more poppulated beaches. We didnt really enjoy the restaurant at the hotel or the breakfast.
nice location ”
hotel very nive location ,lovely beach with clear water ,room confortable ,ideal for stay with child service is limited ,breakfast is poor (no butter only margarine ) restaurant no any international food room staff ok
Nice enough but not great value for money”
I recently stayed at Suanya with my two friends and we had a good time. However upon arrival the staff (who speak little to no English) noticed we only had three and gave us a triple room even though I booked the Quad. It was clearly available but they wouldn't let us have it because they wanted to wait and see if a 4 person group would come for the room. That soured the experience from the start. The triple room is very small, with the beds pushed together from wall to wall. The outdoor shower was very nice though. In terms of value for money I would say that Suanya is a bit on the expensive side, considering we saw other small bungalows available on the island between 250-500Baht/night. The private beach is very small but nice enough. The only problem is that in the evening the trash men dump their rubbish right next to the Suanya resort for it to be sorted. This lead to the inevitable bits of plastics floating around in the water. I would not stay at Suanya again because even though it wasn't too expensive, everything felt just a bit overpriced for what you actually get in return -- The rooms, the menu (100+ Baht for Som Tom!!), the scooter rental (400B versus 300 other places). Our stay was pleasant enough but I think I'll try one of the other many places at Koh Kood next time. Make sure to check out Sunset Bar -- there is a great atmosphere there; very casual and they have an all you can eat family style buffet each night for 200Baht. It's one of the few places to go at night on the island.
