Nice to get some rest and enjoy the facilities but not worth it if you will wonder around Bali”
We stayed three nights at the end of a long one month trip to Asia. The place is marvelous, excellent ocean view from the facilities, friendly staff, very good breakfast, cheap bike rental, etc. What I would honestly recomend is NOT TO have neither lunch nor dinner at the hotel restaurant. It’s EXTREMELY expensive, as much as 10 times the prices that you will find outside the hotel and it really isn’t worth it. If you want to stay in Bali for surfing and wonder around in a bike, I would recomend you to look for another place
Amazing ocean view, price is not so expensive”
I booked the simple ocean view room, but the staff upgraded my room to Jurang 1 which has two bedrooms include a private pool. That one has the best view of all other rooms. I wish I can stay in this hotel in future.
This is by far the most exceptional resort we've stayed in as we usually look for character in hotels we choose whenever we travel. The design and the details put into this hotel is remarkable. The staff are very well trained and are very accommodating. Arturo, one of the hotel managers, educated us about the how the hotel was built around considering environmental impacts and how they intend to leave zero carbon footprint as they operate is very impressive. The location has the most amazing view of the sunset and dreamy starlit evening skies with very little noise and light pollution. Couples and families who would like to celebrate their relationship will definitely leave with new beautiful memories from the place.
Paradise on earth”
A beautiful surprise ! Fantastic location for sunrise, wild vegetation and view on the surfer beaches surrounding the place A warm and cosy boutique Eco resort where any element of the building or process are meaningful ecologically Food and the selection of wines are organic and wonderfully done The perfect paradiisiac cocoon for few days of rest, relaxation and pleasure for the eyes and the palate- First time we plan to go back to the same destination and hotel...
Favourite resort in Uluwatu ”
Love the concept of this resort that everything is recycled yet still gives you the luxury environment. Attentive and friendly staffs and beautiful pool! Not to mention the they have Sax DJ to perform in the sunset :)
Great but room to improve”
The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful and in an excellent location in Uluwatu. However for the price service can be inconsistent, multiple days the pool was left unattended with towels and drinks left about after people had left their spots for the day. The hotel is in an amazing location right over padang padang beach. My favorite times at the hotel were in the mornings when you could hear the waves rolling in and all the nature around you, however throughout the day and at night the hotel plays loud and often out of place music. It would be great with the eco-resort theme if they stuck to the sounds of nature.
One of the best locations to chill out & simply relax in Bali. Nothing to do but relax. The only noise was the waves on the beach & the views were simply stunning. If your into shopping, this isn’t the place, just relax. Been twice now & will definitely go back. If you can afford it, pay extra for a villa with a view. Just beautiful
Great social hotel, you don't want to go to your room”
This hotel is amazing. It's the first hotel that I didn't want to go to my room and keep to myself. People usually annoy me, especially when there are a lot of them together. Not this hotel. The way the lobby is designed, you don't want to leave it, you want to sit, watch the sunset, listen to music, play chess, swim, eat. I don't know how they accomplished this, but they did. The staff takes personal care of you, my host was Eva and she attended to me and all the guest with ease. We stayed in Bali for two weeks, our first hotel was in Kuta, more inland and secluded, so 3 days here, was a pleasant surprise. As for location, I think Kuta is better or Ubud, but if you want to spend time really relaxing, go to this hotel. One more thing, the bathroom is very cool and outside (still attached to your room and very nice) but due to the monkeys you have to take your toiletries with you to the bathroom. I suggest putting in some drawers or cabinets in the bathroom.
The details are not in place ”
First of all, the hotel's architectural features are affirmed, very characteristic of design, and service is very intimate, especially the bed of the room, environmental protection and high technology. But the hotel has no telephone to contact guest room service, which is very inconvenient for foreign tourists. In a week trip in Bali Island, every hotel I live in is given small gifts, such as bamboo woven bags, sunscreens, shampoo suits, fans and so on. Only you do not have, only for reference, if you can take advice. I believe that the experience of guests will be better 。
Great architecture but not so great rooms”
The first impression of the hotel was that it has an impressive entrance and a beautiful architecture. Views of the Padang Padang beach was incredible and there is a relaxing vibe to the resort. The concept of sustainability build was carried out throughout the resort which as the guest relations manager explained took 8 years using recycled wood. If you are however after comfort and luxury, this is not a hotel for you. There are several areas to be improved on the rooms and that comforts of the guests should be taken care of better being a 5 star resort. I have read past reviews of guests and the same problems still exist. Extremely slow WiFi access everywhere on the property, lack of many amenities (including toiletries) in the room, no TV, no phone, no place to put your luggage, no kettle/ tea making, etc etc. The toilet could do with better lighting, I struggled with my make up at night, the wardrobe could be bigger etc etc. As there is no phone, you need to walk to the front desk when you need something. Staff are friendly and do try their best but their attention to details could do with better training. After stay at a great property in ubud, we had expected more out of suarga, only to be disappointed by our stay here.
Amazing location overlooking some of Bali's best surf breaks and very close to some of the best food in Uluwatu (La Baracca, Drifters, etc.). The hotel itself is gorgeous and the rooms are amazing - plenty of character and attention to details to make great, charming villas which have everything you need for a beach getaway. The infinity pools are the best part - you won't want to leave the hotel, although you definitely should walk down to Padang Padang beach (literally below the hotel) or head to Single Fin or Sunday's beach club for an afternoon.
Don't stay at this place if you need fast wifi because it's very slow. Also you will need transportation to get to Seminyak but they won't let Uber or Grab to pick up passengers here. The room I purchased wasn't available because air con was broken, but the new room I got also had air con problem and needed to be fixed. On a positive note the breakfast was good and the food at the restaurant not bad. Good value for the money if they could only fix the facility problems...
We fell in love with Suarga. An eco-conscious boutique hotel with great staff in an amazing location. We were impressed with their story and how it was built using recycled materials. The views are incredible, food fresh and full of flavour. The rooms are spacious and very careful designed. It is a unique hotel which is still growing and we hope to go back soon.
Suarga is an incredibly special hotel and is inspiring due to its complete sustainability and concern for the environment. The hotel itself is beautiful, well equipped and has stunning rooms. The staff are warm and attentive. This is a place to get away from it all - I hope it stays small, relaxed, unpretentious and wonderful. I would definitely recommend it.
No have anything”
Beautiful place but your service don't good Room don't have telephone, toothbrush, toothpaste, razor, sandal, pyjama..... mini bar just only mineral water. At Night have a lot of big ants, insect in my room. And wifi so so poor, can't connect in my room.
Dear Tuan, Thank you for your feedback of Suarga Padang Padang and I am truly disappointed to hear that you feel your stay was not an enjoyable experience. The reason for not having the amenities you mentioned on your review is mainly as a part of our non plastic policy to help the environment. Sustainable development consists of balancing local and global efforts to meet basic human needs without destroying or degrading the natural environment. combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss, this is based on our values that you will find on our website. All of the amenities you mentioned will disappear eventually from all the hotels as the open minded travellers already know. We are trying to make a difference which in my opinion after reading your review it might not look positive but for us is a 10 out of 10 as we are very strict with our values and we will never have those kind of superficial and plastic amenities.
Everything was fantastic. The only things I wasn't so happy about were the following: - wifi quite slow - vanity counter in bathroom quite minimal, not so much light and no towel bar under the counter.
Most amazing addition to our trip!”
This resort was the most amazing addition to our trip. We were upgraded to one of their newest Jurang villas and it was some of the loveliest accommodations my boyfriend and I have ever shared. Spacious outdoor seating areas around a luxurious infinity edge pool with perfect views of the surfers on Padang Padang beach below. (Views of the sunset as well). The bedroom and outdoor bathroom were immaculately designed, so much thought put into every aspect. On top of it all and our favorite part, was that it is completely self-sustainable (a significant step above eco-friendly). The location is ideal, right in the middle of the shops and restaurants, only steps from the Padang Padang beach entrance, close to Single Finn's and the staff takes beautiful care of you. 100% We will be returning!
Stunning property with a view you won't want to look away from”
We booked this place as a last minute spontaneous decision and we are so glad we did. The minute we walked in we knew this place was spectacular. The resort itself is made from recycled trees and bamboo that was cleared to make the space. We were greeted and taken to our room by the general manager who explained to us how everything works and how it was made or recycled. The view is absolutely to die for and the food is on another level all together. The resort is situated really well, it's directly above Padang Padang Beach, 10 min taxi or 5 min scooter to Single Fin and there is lots to do and see around the area. We staid in a Ulin bungalow and it was perfect, the bed, the bathroom and the space itself was tranquil and comfortable. We only staid for 2 nights but I wish it were more. If you are tossing up wether to stay here I can guarantee you will not be dissapointed. Book it!
We loved it here! Spectacular architecture and thoughtful details. Gorgeous view of the surfers and the coastline. While the food, staff, and resort all surpassed our expectations, we felt like there were some things that were still being worked out, as a newer hotel. For example, there were no places to hang wet clothes/towels to dry, in the bathroom or elsewhere. Doors wouldn't quite close properly, to keep bugs out. Curtains wouldn't slide on their rods to shut out light, and we had to get a stool brought from the lounge (no chairs in the room) in order to have them drawn at night, and there were no tiebacks for the daytime. Nonetheless, this place is a winner, and all of these things are fixable, and staff happily did everything they could to correct things. We would definitely come back, and next time stay longer. Much longer. We tried nearly all of their small plates, and six of their mains. Outstanding, every one! Some beautiful cocktails, too. Padang Padang Beach is a two minute walk away. Room Notes: even though the Muso Mezzanine double rooms are set up to accommodate four people (one king, one queen), the rate is only based on two people in the room. Access to the Mezzanine is by a ladder, which is tough for luggage, but it does have a sliding door and its own AC controls. Mosquito nets for the upstairs bed would be appreciated (the main bed has them). We also wished that the rooms had WIFI, not just the public spaces. Bathroom lighting is impossible for makeup. I hope these suggestions are helpful, because Suarga truly deserves a five star rating, and I have no doubt it will be. Thank you for making our last night in Bali so very special!
Environmental friendly hotel with awesome view of ocean. Walking distance to Padang Padang Beach.
