feels like home!”
we visited puerto princesa last 14-19nov2012 and chose subli guest cabins. that was the best choice ever! it started with a free airport pick-up and while we were at subli we felt like we stayed with long-time friends. everything was fabulous -- the service, the garden, the friendlyness. the cabin was very clean, cozy and fresh flowers gave us a great welcome. the internet connection was working well and the cabins are equipped with cable tv. we got many helpful tips and information as well. in addition subli managment was very helpful and gave us free transportation from the cabins to town. motorbike taxis know subli/socrates road and charged us with regular prices (for 2 persons 40-50 peso from city center). we can highly recommend this place and would like to return here on our next trip to puerto princesa. ps: thanks a lot, nancy & glen! room tip: since they got 4 cabins in total you better reserve in advance.

Lovely cabins and amazing service”
We had an amazing time at Subli. First of all, the owners were extremely kind and accommodating. They went out of their way to pick us up from the airport, drive us around town, and they even waited around the bus terminal well past midnight in order to pick us up on our way back down from El Nido. They were so kind and we're forever grateful. Subli as of the time we stayed there (August 2012) was comprised to 3 private cabins and one slightly larger bunk room. There is a separate dining room/patio area. All 5 of these buildings are situated in a small, but cute garden. The cabins are clean and minimalist. Ours had a small TV and air conditioning. The beds were amazing though. The softest and most comfortable beds we had slept on during our travels. Similar to those memory-foam type beds. The bathroom was small and asian-styled in the sense that there is no shower door/curtain to separate the bathing area from the rest of the bathroom. If this is your first time traveling through Asia, then you may be shocked, but its really no big deal. One slight con is that Subli is about a 8-10 min tricycle ride away from downtown Puerto Princessa. Because the hotel was still new, some drivers did not really know where it was. Subli is located on a well known rode though (even though it doesn't look well-travled), so if you tell your driver the name of the road, it should be fairly easy to get back. Subli supplies you with a small map to help you out too. Overall, we had an amazing stay and would highly recommend this hotel to anyone staying in Puerto Princessa. relaxing place”
coming from Mindanao, we arrived in Puerto Princesa to plan our trip in Palawan. We were so happy that we found this place! It's clean, looks beautiful, is affordable, quiet and the staff/owners made us feel like home. Because we liked it so much, we extended our stay to 3 nights and decided to relax a little bit at Sublis before we continued our trip. We didn't get a permit for the next day for the underground river, so we came back for another 2 nights at the end of our Palawan-trip. Actually, it is a big advantage that Subli is not directly within the inner city of Puerto Princesa. They have such a nice garden and it's really quiet there - that wouldn't be possible in the inner city. A tricycle isn't that expensive and needs only 10min, or you can order food (staff helps you with that) or they give you a ride to the inner city. All the other little important things: breakfast is delicious, hot water works, shower has a high water pressure, wifi works well everywhere, small tv in the cottages, flowers from their garden in the cottage, possibility to dry your clothes,... we didn't find anything negative, it's definitely the best accommodation we had during our 4-week trip in the Philippines

Peaceful retreat and amazing owners”
We split our 5 day trip to Palawan between a luxury resort and Subli's guest cabins. The idea was to enjoy the resort style hotel and all the nightlife for the first couple days, then escape to Subli as our home base for the remainder of our holiday. The atmosphere at Subli is so relaxed and peaceful with the lush gardens totally erasing any thoughts of the hectic city just a few minutes away. I enjoyed lazily lounging and reading my book in the screened in reading hut, with it's authentic bamboo furniture and the fan keeping me cool with a slight breeze, only glancing up once and a while to watch my girlfriend slowly swaying in one of the hammocks strung up in the large beautiful tree that centers the grounds. Despite the provincial and rustic charm from the outside of the cabins, they were comfortable and modern inside with hot/cold shower, air conditioning (we only used it because my nasty sunburn required it, otherwise the windows open to let in the cool air in the evenings) and a small TV which we used to watch movies after a long day of island hopping. Above all the owners and staff are what make a stay at Subli a memorable experience. So friendly and willing to drop us off anywhere or make suggestions on places to dine or visit. The breakfast was superb, and surely better than I've had at just about any hotel, luxury or otherwise. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would highly recommend!

Truly oasis, relaxing and quiet.”
Subli Guest Cabins were truly an oasis. The cabins are simple but quaint. The grounds are beautiful, full of trees and flowers with a gorgeous old mango tree in the centre. The birds are good for the ego too as they whistle at you every time you leave your cabin! The hammocks were such a nice retreat at the end of a busy day, with birds and crickets singing in the background. We were even lucky enough to see the odd gecko! Some of the reviews say that Subli is out of the way, not close to the main strip. Although it isn't a close walking distance, it really wasn't that far (a 40 peso tricycle ride for 2 people). It was far enough to get away from all the sounds of the traffic and people of the main strip area though, which I thought was delightful! Glen and Nancy are always more than willing to give you a ride to places you'd like to go anyways or to call you a tricycle if you'd prefer. Jaya (the young girl at the front desk) was always friendly and polite and Vanessa could always be heard singing. Breakfast was included and all the choices I had were quite good. We truly enjoyed our stay and only wished we could return to Palawan and Subli more frequently. Stayed May 2013, travelled as a couple

Overnight Stay”
I decided to choose Subli Guest Cabins as a place for me to spent overnight from my trip to El Nido prior to going back to Manila. It was a wonderful experience! Its like vacationing on your family's ancestral home. The staff are so accommodating from the time I inquired via email while I'm still in Manila to the time I went to the PPS airport for my flight. I experienced numerous power interruption during my overnight stay and I was busy packing my stuff at the middle of the night when this happened. How I wish to provide emergency light or flashlight in the cabin while we are waiting for the generator to kick in. And how I wish the bird Spartan is still alive during the time of my visit. Overall, my stay at Subli is short but memorable. I'll certainly go back to this place once I'm back in PPS! Good job to the management and staff of Subli Guest Cabins! Kudos especially to Jeah, Jovy and Amy for being so kind and accommodating during my stay here!

Palawan Escapade!”
Me and my friends decided to go to Palawan for the semestral break. I searched for a place to stay and I found this- SUBLI GUEST CABINS. I never had second thoughts because of the reviews and true enough, we had a great time. The staff and even Miss Nancy are very accomodating. They offered to drop us if we want to go out (Market, Robinson's, resto). The place is clean and relaxing. We booked for a room for 2 and we'll just add a matress but miss Nancy gave us the family room because no one booked for our entire stay! Amazing! I'll definity recommend this to friends. She also helped us with our tours! So much to tell guys, why not try it?! You will definitely enjoy PALAWAN!

It exceeded my expectation”
We had a perfect stay in Subli. I was so impressed. The room was well furnished, very clean and comfortable. It was cheap for its provisions. The room was air conditioned with hot shower and high speed internet. The native design of the cabins gives the place a nice ambiance. They had good breakfast selection. The food had excellent presentation and tasted so good. The staff took care of everything for us from underground river tour reservation to airport transport. They anticipated our needs even before we asked for any help. Nancy, the owner, was such a delight to meet. She even gave us a souvenir for our stay. I highly recommend Subli to anyone planning a trip to Puerto Princesa.

A hidden haven”
Our short stay here is so peaceful and relaxing. It's a bit inaccessible but the staff is very accommodating that they will assist you when you have to hail a transportation. You have to be cautious when going inside your cabin on a rainy season or when it rained. The pathways are not fully paved. You might step on a puddle. If you are considering Subli you have to keep in mind that this is a cabin type of accommodation and it's not your usual hotel. If you're up to a unique stay in Puerto Princesa you have to try this little hidden haven of Palawan.

Wonderful stay”
We stayed at Subli Guest Cabins for 3 nights over the new year period. The cabins themselves are very quaint and feel quite exclusive as there are only four of them on the site. The wonderful staff are always willing to help you out by offering you information, booking trips, or calling a taxi (tricycle) to take you into town or anywhere that you want to go. You can use the internet anytime in the reception area and it actually reached to our room which was a bonus. The included breakfast is also great with some good options available. The hotel is in a good position just outside of the city CBD. It costs about 60-100 (including tip) pesos to go into or come back from town. It is also very convenient to the airport. All in all, we had a great comfortable stay and would not hesitate to recommend the hotel to others.

Lovely hotel and friendly staffs. Love the place!”
1. The room is cozy. It is not too big but spacious enough for a couple. The exterior view is nice and lovely. You have a small garden in front of your cabin, where you can sit in a chalet for reading book, or swinging on the hammock for relaxing. 2. The staffs are super friendly. 5stars for the owners and staffs. We were well taken care of from the time we landed in Puerto Princesa; the owners indeed provided us with airport transportation (to & fro), advices on tours, booked the tours for us, brought us to buy the Underground River permit, booked us the van ticket to Sabang(for the Underground River) and drove us to the bus terminal, drove us to the Viet village to have Chao Long.. Everything they did for free and the info shared are useful too. We also had fun talking to them about Palawan, and Phillipines. We will definitely come back to stay here the next time we are in Puerto Princesa.

Lovely and comfortable cabins”
My husband and I had an amazing stay at Subli. We chose this style of accommodations over rypical hotel settings so that we could experience it in the province. The cabin we had was a full size one. The room was clean and fairly comfortable for the two of us. There was air condition in the rooms and bathroom had hot water which my husband liked. I thought they had good choices for breakfast. We especially liked the danggit and eggs since we dont get it in the States. Nancy and husband Glen were very helpful. They made us feel very welcomed. The rest of the staff were very nice too. We would definitely stay here again in our next visit to Puerto Princesa.

Exceeded our expectations!”
So happy we booked Subli Cabins for our visit in Puerto Princesa! The grounds itself are beautiful, we love the set up. The rooms are clean and spacious. The breakfast included is delicious, made to order: pancakes, rice and sausage, omelettes, etc! What we really loved is how nice and accommodating the staff were. Thank you for arranging our tour of the Underground River (a must see!) and arranging for in-room massages! We also really appreciate the pick up from the bus terminal and for dropping us off to the airport! They really take care of you here, and are willing to do anything they can to enjoy your stay. Highly recommend and thank you so much!! :)

Amazing, Amazing, Amazing!!!”
We absolutely loved our stay at Subli. The staff were amazing! Julie, the cabin manager, looked after us so well and catered for all of our needs. The massages here were the best I've ever had - truly wonderful, refreshing and relaxing. The cabins were spacious, beds comfortable and had 24 hour hot water with a lovely shower. The cabins themselves are situated in a lovely secluded spot, near to town but away from any noise. They also had a talking Parrot and hammocks to relax! We wouldn't hestitate staying here again and recommend Subli very very highly ! The 1 star rating does this place no justice and it should be marked way way higher !! Well done Subli for making our stay in Palawan one we will never forget.

Home away from home”
It was refreshing to stay in a place like Subli's. Why stay in a hotel with a pool when you are in the beautiful island of Palawan filled with natural wonders. It's nice to wake up and step out of the cabin house and see trees with birds chirping. The mango tree with the hammock was a delight. You could chill out after your day tour and read a good book. Since they have limited cabins, the service from the staff is highly personalized. We were only supposed to rent a tricycle to go out for dinner but they went out of their way and offered to drop us off at no extra cost. On our last day while having breakfast, they asked for our itinerary and we told them we wanted a DIY tour of the city by renting out a tricycle so we could control the time instead of booking a group tour. Miss Aiza recommended a tricycle driver and he arrived on time as requested. That easy. We also liked the dining area and the free flowing coffee and water. The owner,Miss Nancy, helped me with our itinerary and made the recommendations to maximize our stay in the city. The overall experience was simply splendid. Have a conversation with the locals and get tips from them. I would not hesitate to recommend Subli to my friends and family. We got more than what we paid for! Thank you, Subli. This won't be the last!

Perfect Getaway”
My wife and I had a fantastic stay at the Subli Guest Cabins. It was a very relaxing and laid-back experience. The staff and owners are all very accommodating and knowledgeable of the many activities to do in Palawan. They have a limited, but delicious selection of Filipino breakfast, massage services, hammocks in common areas and WiFi. If I would have to have a go-to hotel in Palawan, this would be it.

wonderful and comfortable place to stay”
I really enjoyed my stay at Subli Guest Cabins. They were so friendly and helpful and made our stay the best it could be. I stayed in another hotel for half my trip and didn't enjoy it nearly as much as I enjoyed Subli. Don't let the location deter you. Anywhere you go you will need to take a tricycle and when I stayed closer to downtown it was quite loud and not as nice. It's much better to be a little further away and it's not hard to show the tricycle driver on the map where the cabins are so don't worry about that at all. It's a great place to stay whether you go for a day or a week and if you want to experience a peaceful stay or stay busy with sightseeing, I'm sure you'll enjoy it here.

Enjoyed two fantastic stays at Subli”
A friend and I stayed at Subli twice, once on the way to and from El Nido and again as a base to explore the Puerto Princesa area. Both stays were great. Management and staff are flexible and helpful, with food (delicious bananas,) travel advice/arrangements, or a ride to local destinations always handy. The mini resort setup makes great use of its small site with a very inviting open common area between the cabins. The cabins themselves are not super-fancy, but they have everything needed for a comfortable stay. Will definitely look them up if I ever get back to Puerta Princesa. (Here's hoping!)

Incomparable!”
Didn't know what to expect when we arrived at Subli. When we booked through Agoda we found the price very attractive and most of the reviewers raved about the hotel so we trusted the reviewers and thought we would give Subli a try. Part of us wishes we would have just stayed here during our whole 14 day trip, instead of just one day. We love the place, from the very, very clean, well detailed cabins with great hot water showers, and cold A/C, and newer flat screen tvs with plenty of channels to the outdoor area. The outdoor area is primo. A lot of tender loving care obviously goes into the upkeep of this location. Like living in a forest but the trees are marked as to what species. There is a small library for relaxing and reading in a screened in area. The central patio has a table and a couple of chairs bordered by two large Philippine style hammocks. All of this under a huge Mango tree. You can lay there and just breathe, and listen to Spartan the Myna bird! Now to the best part. Her name is G

Very lovely cottages with beautiful garden”
This is by far the best cottage I've ever stayed in. The rooms are comfortable, clean und very nice. Breakfast was very good as well. The garden is beautiful and very nice to relax. But the best about Subli Guest Cabins are the owners. They picked us up from the airport, drove us to every place we wanted to go (a lot of times without us asking, they saw us leaving the cottage and asked where they should bring us) and they always had a warm smile in their faces! If I'll ever come back to PP, I'm going to stay at Subli!
