Excellent, close to perfect!”
Sudamala Suites & Villas is excellent, close to perfect. Apart from the mosquitos (much a norm for the surroundings), I would have nothing bad to comment about this hotel. My friend and I stayed at room 114 Suranadi (One bed room Pool Villa) from 6 Feb 2014 to 9 Feb 2014 (4D3N). From the time we stepped into the hotel, we were greeted by the friendly receiptionist who did a quick check-in. I was very appreciative on their efficiency as it was a rather long ride from Lombok airport to the hotel (2.5hrs). Having said that, it doesn't mean that the hotel has a bad location. In fact the location of the hotel is good, it is located right infront of the beach & is about 10 mins drive from the small town. Airport is almost far from all the hotel at Senggigi unless you want to choose to stay at another town which has nothing much to offer. The breakfast was good. You could choose to have it serve to your room (at your comfort) or just go to the common area for breakfast (which has awesome scenery). We did both as we were there for 4D3N. The staffs are ever attentive, polite & friendly which made our stay comfortable & it feels luxurious. On top of that the pool villa was great. The pool was of good size for swimming & it was quiet. It do have a bath tub which is a step away from the pool. Therefore it makes swimming and getting into shower extremely convenient. There is also a rain shower in the toilet too. The room has a spacious and big walk in warobe. The dinner serve in Sudamala was good too. Therefore we had our dinner there for 3 nights. Spa was relaxing. Everything was charge to the room so you'll only have to pay upon checkout. I would say that I'm definitely please by choosing Sudamala Suites & Villas during our stay in Lombok. Would definitely come back if I'm to visit Lombok. THUMBS UP!

One of the best hotels we have ever been to, not a lot of excitement”
Of all the hotels we have ever been to and also definitely of all our hotels in Indonesia, Sudamala Suites & Villas was one of the best so far. First of all, the rooms are simply amazing. Very clean, big, have an own huge balcony with a bench, a table and sea view (if booked). The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in and very big as well. The bathroom is great with two showers (one outside and one inside) and all the amenities needed. The hotel facilities are great as well - great pool, great sea view from the sun loungers. You also have the possibility to get some yoga courses with sea view. The beach is great and clean. Breakfast is very substantial and nice. You have different choices of food (Indonesian, eggs, etc), fresh juices, home made marmelades, etc. The staff is very nice and helpful, you get anything you need very fast and in a very friendly manner. Every night, you get some cookies and a "goodnight story" telling an Indonesian legend or something similar, which is a nice touch. In total, for a nice and pampering few days the hotel is really great. We really needed this after our New Year's party nights and it was very relaxing. If you are looking for excitement, this is not the place to be. There are a lot of resorts in Senggigi and not much else (except you really book a tour and travel somewhere far).

A truly Unforgettable Experience”
Everyone should come and stay at Sudamala Suites and Villas. The resort is simply breathtaking. We loved our room so much that we spent a whole day doing nothing but stay in and just sat at the balcony staring at the beautiful scenery.The sunset is amazing especially on a clear day and Mt Agung is also clear in view. But we were so pleasantly surprised as we woke up at 1am-3am and saw the bright moonlit night reflection onto the sea and slowly setting into the sea. My mother was glued to the balcony all the time as she loved the sounds an sights of the huge waves crashing onto the beach. we call it 'wave therapy'. It calms us, it relaxes us and even gave a feeling of positivity. The staff was another asset to this hotel. 5 stars all the way. They treated us with so much respect, nothing ever bothered them, always ready to serve, so genuince, so sincere and eager to keep wow-ing us. We were very touched that each one of them were so humble and did not expect any tips for the service they offer. We must mention our fav driver Pak Suparman who is a walking wikipedia on Lombok. Mas Rusmadi for being patient with our whims and woes and delighting us with your dynamic personality. Mbak Icha for the heart-warming greetings and smiles you gave when we leave and come back to the hotel each day and arranging the cake for mum at no cost, thank you. Mbak Putu from Olah Olah restaurant, thanks for the sincere service every morning. You did not looked tired bringing our bfast to the room despite carrying the heavy load. we miss you! Mas Dewa Putu from engineering, for being so humble and we were impressed when you refused to receive our tip. Mbak Lyly for your hospitality. Mas Fathul, Kresna and Novita from reservation for ensuring all my requests were sorted and the happy bunch of housekeeping guys with Mas Nurman. Thank you everyone for making us feel at home. We love the resort and will definitely be back.

Fantastic & perfect stay”
First of all, I would like to thanks Sudamala Suites & Villas Senggigi for providing me an excellent pool villa. My whole family were really enjoyed at this villa, it was quiet, comfortable & relaxing. My son was so happy with the private pool. The staffs were very helpful & friendly with great service. Bed was big and comfy, they even had a coffee machine in room. Chocolate & night time story provided was really made us feel very warm. Restaurant has a nice sea view, we had a romantic & memorable dinner there. I will definitely recommend this villa to my friends. I'm pretty sure we'll come back again! Top notch service and experience”
I went to Lombok for my honeymoon. It was my first time there. It was a really great place to stay as the room (with ocean view) is strategic to watch the sunset together with the view of the swimming pool. Once we arrived, Pak Taufik from Sudamala was waiting for us at the airport and was really great service from him. Not only as a driver, but also a good tourist guide. For breakfast it is a la carte style, it was really a good idea as we are not gonna wasted our food. Indeed, it was really yummy and the best part is the staff in the restaurant remembers our room number. We also had our honeymoon romantic dinner there. Great service from the team especially Dewi that very friendly with her warm smile. Oh, one more with the honeymoon setting that been asked for, it really made our day that have went through almost 3 hours flight. On the first night, after we came back from our dinner, we have been surprised with the honeymoon cake. Thank you Sudamala Senggigi. Even my husband said that we should come back to this place next year. Keep up your good work!!

Superb hospitality”
I'm glad we chose Sudamala Resort, Lombok for our holiday as we were looking for a restful and rather no-frills vacation. The staff were very thoughtful and took very good care of our 4 year old daughter, especially accommodating her meal requests - that left a huge impact on us. Kudos to the kitchen and the chef! We had most of our meals in the resort - and the food was fresh and very well prepared, though of course by hotel standards, would be more pricey than the regular restaurant along Senggigi town, but definitely affordably priced. The environment was also great for young children and the pool was definitely her favourite! Thanks Sudamala for your hospitality!

Perfect”
Senggigi is a wonderful stretch of beach with many boutique hotel developments. Sudamala recently opened its new flagship located north of Senggigi beach. 30 rooms, contemporary design with local finishing, located around an infinity pool with the olah olah restaurant in the middle. Price for value, the restaurant is simply fantastic. I wonder how the chef does it, 'A la carte' top-cuisine both local and international flavours for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Name it. Note you indulge yourself in the local rhythm, so wait for dinner can be longer comparing to western standards. The staff was extremely friendly and handful at all times. They made us feel so comfortable we hardly left the hotel for outside dinners. There was really a startup spirit that made us feel at home. For longer term stay there are some alternative restaurants at walking distance located on the beach. We had an excellent beach dinner at Qunci's Asian Restaurant next door, try the tuna steak or red snapper. You can book a trip to Gili islands direct from the beach. You can have a 60min 10 usd massage on the beach. If you search for a hide-away from your daily life in all comfort in paradise, go here.

Starting with Erlin, Bakri, Rus, Adi, and the General Manager Mr.Komang, you have created the best memory for our stay with you and for our trip to Lombok. Please, for the future staying guests; make sure to enjoy each moment of it there at sudamalah, and make sure to take the advise from Rus at the reception, and for sure you will always see him going all around starting from breakfast time checking on each guest, as he will explain to you everything you want to know. Ask Rus to rent a bike and where to go and what to do, and he will guide you with that. Big smiles on the team faces where ever you turn, and it's their spirit as you will feel it. So much to say about our stay, just hoping that we will have the time to make it again and stay with you guys there. Thank you so so so much.

Best Resort Hotel at Sengigi Beach”
Fantastic stay due to the superb service of the staff. My friend had a cut from a surfing lesson and was attended to by the staff at the drop of a hat. We experienced nothing but the best of Indonesian hospitality and each of them had a story to tell. We had lots of conversation with the staff-Rusmadi, Anis and the manager, Gusti. The staff were simply fantastic, ensuring that we had the best of everything. The food, upon the staff's recommendation, made us so happy that we had all our meals in the hotel. I got the Ocean suite and it's a stone's throw away from the sea. Lying at the porch at night or lying on the wooden sundeck at night to listen to the waves made the night great. There is a guard to keep watch over our 'outside-but-not-outside' villa. It's just beside a surf shack, so you can just do your surfing at any time you want and get back to your suite/villa, should you need anything. After walking around the Senggigi area, I conclude that it's the best and most luxurious resort hotel in that area!~ Recommended for couples on honeymoon. Take the villa - with the privacy of an indoor pool that's reasonably big. Have already recommended to 2 couples!

Fantastic stay!”
I could not recommend the Sudamala enough. In fact, I think if it wasn't for the incredibly hospitable staff, excellent food and comfort, our trip to Lombok would not have been as enjoyable. We are a family with an infant and the hotel was able to provide a cot bed, high chair and even a car seat for our transfers. Its these little things that make travelling with a child more manageable. The location for us was perfect as its just on the edge of Sengigi town so quiet enough to relax, enjoy the pool and lovely beach. And even when it poured heavily with rain, we were relaxed staying in our hotel room enjoying the excellent room service and did i mention the Spa? My massage was fab and a welcome treat. If we make it back to Lombok, we will definitely stay again. Thank you again to all the staff, who were so attentive, friendly and constantly smiling. Amazing!! Best Mrs J

Wonderful, Memorable and Outstandingly Considerate”
After one day in Gili Trawangan, we were delighted to come back to Sudamala Sengiggi. The attentive Monica Ryanti (Hotel Manager) made our stay without any kind of worries and unforgettable. The Executive Chef, L. Juandi prepared the most impressive and succulent meal in Lombok – with 11 different entree-dishes based on speciality unique of Lombok, impressive fresh memorable lobsters and to end local variety of sweets/desserts: we compared with delight this experience to Mozaic in Ubud! Extraordinary! Daniel, the Assistant Manager, made sure that every concern, wish and desire was fulfilled to the exceptional degree of service. Thank you! A big congratulation to him and all his team that we personally believe is the beast in Bali and Lombok! The spa/massage was great and made us ready for the return trip back to Australia.

Highly recommend Sudamala Suites and Villas to couples and families. Nice beach for viewing sunset or sunrise. The staffs service was excellent, they exceed my expectations. For example, suprise chocolate cake in our room for our anniversary, extra dinnerlight candles upon request, switch on the swimming pool light for our night swim. Thumbs up for their service. If Budget allows, pls choose the sunset view room. Just a few steps away from the beach.

Sunburnt, Sunset View Rooms, Not Commercialised”
Enjoyed the quiet and serenity of the resort. Although small, it was cosy and not too noisy with kids. Apparently the best rooms are the sunset view rooms but however we were not able to catch a single good sunset as the skies were cloudy everyday. Unfortunately, waves were strong too so we were not able to visit the 3 Gilis as all boat services were halted. However we did manage to visit Gili Nanggu in the south. Sand at the resort and Senggigi is black sand. If you are expecting clean powdery sand beaches, head for south Lombok instead. The beaches are pristine and clean. Back to Sudamala, spa was alright. Next to road so we could hear vehicles passing by. Swimming pool was closed 3 out of the 4 days I was there too - unfortunately. The safe could not open in one instance, and it took the technician 30mins to fix it. These aside, the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Grab the 2 hot sofas for a splendid breakfast view. Have a morning stroll along the beach - it's very therapeutic. Sleep to the sound of waves every night if you book the sunset view rooms.

Suitable for those seeking quietness away from crowd or noises”
We stayed for 3 nights and on our first night, we stayed at Ocean View Room. It was good and I'd say it's like partial ocean view with pool view on the first floor. We decided to upgrade it to sunset ocean view room and stayed on first floor for the remaining 2 days. It was the best upgrade as it faces the ocean directly and you can see Mount Agung from afar when the weather is clear. It was raining throughout our 4 days of stay there. I've read on some of the reviews regarding ants and no restaurants/ cafes along the street. We've had our fair share of ants too and I think it's because of the hotel's grounds, that has trees and plants. As such, there's bound to be ants and bees and etc. As for the location, there is the Alfa Mart right across the street and walk a few hundred metres, there are Molly's Restaurant and also Verve Beach Club. If you are bored of eating at the hotel, you can hop next door to Quinci Villa and dine there or Holiday Resort Lombok further up along the road. This area is more suited for those seeking peace and quiet and looking to laze around the hotel only. If you want more, I suggest you stay at Sheraton Sengigi, which is a little more happening with more restaurants and cafes. We found Sudamala to be small, yet cozy with traditional architecture compared to its neighbour and lesser rooms, that makes the place feel less crowded. Service were excellent and from start till end, the staff were very friendly, courteous and constantly greet us with a smile. As for their food selection for breakfast, it is a la carte menu and not buffet. I'd say we prefer it this way to avoid food wastage although I know some would prefer buffet style. The beach may not be the best but it's walkable. I would warn you if you want to have a swim in the sea, it's better to have reef shoes on or you will get graze or cut from sharp stones or corals when the waves hit back to the shore.

One memorable honeymoon”
My honeymoon at Sudamala was beyond awesome. We had such a great time staying at one of the ocean view suite. The staff is very friendly and helpful, they even remembered our room number without us telling by the 2nd day. What I love the most is the view from the balcony of the room, especially during sunset. What is a pity is only the swimming pool, I feel like the water was not fresh enough, it was a little musky for our liking. But overall it was still a pleasant stay at Sudamala. Do not hesitate to stay there! :)

Lovely stay but a little bit far away from town”
I had nice stay in Sudamala Suites & Villas Senggigi, staff is nice and helpful. The restaurant serves nice food with reasonable price. But, it's really a little bit far away from town. You can get private board on the beach to Gili island just next to hotel.

Beyond our expectation - highly recommended”
It was our first experience at Senggigi beach area. The resort is very quite and a good choice for relaxation. We were staying for 3 nights at the garden view villa (the ground floor), a very private villa w/ balcony, front yard and a fence. The room itself is quite spacious and the bath room is a fantastic surprise (I'm not gonna tell....). It's a new experience for all of us. The restaurant on the beach front has a beautiful view. The breakfast was a la carte w/ high quality of food and quite fulfilling. The bed time stories and the chocolates are something that we look forward to every night. hmmm.....so nyummy... Overall... we are very pleased w/ this villa and will be back again, Insya Allah.

Stayed at Sudamala for our honeymoon and we made such a great decision. The staff is absolutely incredible. They made sure we had everything we needed. The rooms were beautiful, spacious, and clean. The location is very quiet and we enjoyed more than the gilis and other beaches in Lombok. We enjoyed our time so much and hope to make it back.
