The perfect place to relax!”
This is simply a lovely place to stay. The staff are all attentive and friendly. And the location is simply beautiful. It provides the perfect backdrop to a relaxing holiday. You can sit in the infinity pool and watch the sunset every day while drinking your happy hour cocktails or move up on to the sunset deck and enjoy it from there. Take the a la carte breakfast included option - it’s worth it.
Loved the room and the terrace. It was rather low season so we could enjoy the peace that came with. Breakfast spread was good - especially when you have a beautiful view of the sea. Missing this place already!
Beautiful Resort to relax”
Love: • The receptionist is awesome!! She's beautiful n very helpful, love her!! • The welcome drink is super 😍 Fresh n exactly what I want 😘 • The Villa is beautiful, love the traditional roofs, the private pool, awesome. • The whole place is amazing!! It's exactly on the beautiful beach of Senggigi. But there're some that could be better: • The bathroom? Well, No privacy!! It's an open toilet & shower haha... • The food could be better... everything is too salty for me.
We had a satisfying stay at Sudamala Resort. The personalized service is top notch. Staffs are very friendly and attentive. Breakfast was amazing. Wish they had bigger pool and a fitness center. But overall our stay was very enjoyable and we would definitely recommend this resort.
Incredible food, amazing staff, beautiful rooms and location”
The restaurant is excellent and contains both cheap and more expensive dishes. Even the cheaper ones come with a free hors-d'oeuvre! The staff are extremely friendly and attentive and are always smiling. I've never seen anything like this at any other resort I've stayed at in Asia. The rooms are clean and spacious and the showers worked well with hot water. There was also an outdoor shower which my wife preferred. The rooms have a fan and AC. Our AC kept breaking down but a repair man would come each time within a few minutes and get it going again. I think it was something to do with electricity loads. There is a fridge in the room (mini bar) but it doesn't get very cold. This might be an issue if you wanted to keep baby food or something in there. The beach is fine, though not as good as the ones on the south coast at Mawun for example. You can snorkel (I saw clown fish) but it's not quite as good as the Gili Islands. The waves and undertow can be a bit unnerving as well.
Suitable for those seeking quietness away from crowd or noises”
We stayed for 3 nights and on our first night, we stayed at Ocean View Room. It was good and I'd say it's like partial ocean view with pool view on the first floor. We decided to upgrade it to sunset ocean view room and stayed on first floor for the remaining 2 days. It was the best upgrade as it faces the ocean directly and you can see Mount Agung from afar when the weather is clear. It was raining throughout our 4 days of stay there. I've read on some of the reviews regarding ants and no restaurants/ cafes along the street. We've had our fair share of ants too and I think it's because of the hotel's grounds, that has trees and plants. As such, there's bound to be ants and bees and etc. As for the location, there is the Alfa Mart right across the street and walk a few hundred metres, there are Molly's Restaurant and also Verve Beach Club. If you are bored of eating at the hotel, you can hop next door to Quinci Villa and dine there or Holiday Resort Lombok further up along the road. This area is more suited for those seeking peace and quiet and looking to laze around the hotel only. If you want more, I suggest you stay at Sheraton Sengigi, which is a little more happening with more restaurants and cafes. We found Sudamala to be small, yet cozy with traditional architecture compared to its neighbour and lesser rooms, that makes the place feel less crowded. Service were excellent and from start till end, the staff were very friendly, courteous and constantly greet us with a smile. As for their food selection for breakfast, it is a la carte menu and not buffet. I'd say we prefer it this way to avoid food wastage although I know some would prefer buffet style. The beach may not be the best but it's walkable. I would warn you if you want to have a swim in the sea, it's better to have reef shoes on or you will get graze or cut from sharp stones or corals when the waves hit back to the shore.
Quiete and nice view”
We stayed two nights in this place! Our room is just right in front of the beach so we always lied down on the chair watching wave and drinking Bintang! The beach was almost like private one so it was really quiet and really different with Bali's one. While we are staying here we ordered all our meals from restaurant in resort and it was so nice!! And it has so nice deck restaurant. When it comes to breakfast, it was best while we are in Indonesia for one week. So we felt like we are having dinner on the private boat. There's also spa inside. We got Balinese massage one hour. It was so nice so we were really disappointed ourselves that we decided to get a massage only one hour in our last day staying. Staffs are so friendly they always come to us first and smiled We definitely go visit this place for next visiting!
I was there for honeymoon, room was so great! its large, and they also generously put us in the room right in front of the beach. we booked the sunset view room which has a large bathtub. you can soak in with your partner in it. Room amenities are great, and aircon was working great against the hot weather outside. breakfast was ala carte but great. Taste like how a 5 star hotel restaurant should be. Location is great for you wanting to get away from crowd. Pool is not so big but right in front of the beach. they also have library and playing room near pool.
One of the best hotels we have ever been to, not a lot of excitement”
Of all the hotels we have ever been to and also definitely of all our hotels in Indonesia, Sudamala Suites & Villas was one of the best so far. First of all, the rooms are simply amazing. Very clean, big, have an own huge balcony with a bench, a table and sea view (if booked). The bed was one of the most comfortable we have ever slept in and very big as well. The bathroom is great with two showers (one outside and one inside) and all the amenities needed. The hotel facilities are great as well - great pool, great sea view from the sun loungers. You also have the possibility to get some yoga courses with sea view. The beach is great and clean. Breakfast is very substantial and nice. You have different choices of food (Indonesian, eggs, etc), fresh juices, home made marmelades, etc. The staff is very nice and helpful, you get anything you need very fast and in a very friendly manner. Every night, you get some cookies and a "goodnight story" telling an Indonesian legend or something similar, which is a nice touch. In total, for a nice and pampering few days the hotel is really great. We really needed this after our New Year's party nights and it was very relaxing. If you are looking for excitement, this is not the place to be. There are a lot of resorts in Senggigi and not much else (except you really book a tour and travel somewhere far).
one of the best place for honeymooners”
excellent services. very polite, everybody is helpful and always smile. the driver who pick me up at the airport have a good knowledge about lombok tourist place. the food is amazing and full of surprise. they all of them by them self. you should try it. the room are also amazing, the bathtub is big as private pool. everything is clean and sleek. very recommended.
Suitable for Honeymooners”
we had our honeymoon in this hotel. we went for the 1 bedroom villa with private pool. the bathtub, beach, food was very very very great. good job sudamala suites. keep up the good work. ps. for breakfast you can order any menu for many times as you can eat. no additional charge.
Great retreat after trekking”
My partner and I stayed here after hiking Rinjani. No major complaints expect Spa was too busy when we wanted to get a massage. Would know book ahead next time. Staff very friendly and personable. Rooms great size, clean, comfortable. Beach side location perfect with views of Mt Agung toward Bali.
Excellent staff, beautiful hotel”
We enjoyed 3 nights stay there. All the staff are very nice and helpful! Lovely place, beautiful room with private terrace. Nice beach view. Though the beach is not suitable for swimming but good for surfing. My son really enjoyed the surfing lesson there with affordable price. For the food, we loved the breakfast - with ala-carte style and the chef was really nice and friendly. We went to Menega seafood for dinner, not bad choice, just took cab 20-30K rupiah. yummy Food! good price. I gave 5+ stars for the people working there. Special thank you for the sweet lady in reception, pak Wida who's very kind helped me to check my jne package, ms. Ayu who helped us to take care our last breakfast very early morning :). And all the staff there. We hope can stay in your hotel again. I only give 4* for cleanliness as I spotted noticeable black stain on our bedlinen, but was too tired to report when checked in the 2nd night after gili trawangan visit. But on the next day they changed it without I asked :). Overall hotel are clean and neat. Will stay there again
Everything was perfect for our wedding anniversary”
All staffs were excellent. Everyone. Our room was villa with private pool. The room was extraordinary and breath taking. Everything was perfect. I emailed the hotel for airport transfer and even mentioned it was for our anniversary. Hotel gave us complimentary chocolate cake and room decorations ! Thank you for that and it was a good memory for us. We even dont wanna leave the room because we have everything in the room. The hotel food was great and even the view of the beach was great. Just one thing that was off, when we were asleep that night, there were two times blackout but it was a fast blackout. Forgot to mentioned during checkout but no worries, others was awesome already. Basically, this hotel is beautiful, awesome view, very great staff, friendly, room was awesome. Would love to come back here again someday.
Great holidays there.”
We had spend 3 days at this villas and had great hospitality and services. It's amazing and awesome. Also, from view from room balcony we could see see and sunset, it's also very nice. First of all, we have plan to visit gigi island, but we could not go there. Because we were really satisfied to stay there, and go outside... :)
Best Resort Hotel at Sengigi Beach”
Fantastic stay due to the superb service of the staff. My friend had a cut from a surfing lesson and was attended to by the staff at the drop of a hat. We experienced nothing but the best of Indonesian hospitality and each of them had a story to tell. We had lots of conversation with the staff-Rusmadi, Anis and the manager, Gusti. The staff were simply fantastic, ensuring that we had the best of everything. The food, upon the staff's recommendation, made us so happy that we had all our meals in the hotel. I got the Ocean suite and it's a stone's throw away from the sea. Lying at the porch at night or lying on the wooden sundeck at night to listen to the waves made the night great. There is a guard to keep watch over our 'outside-but-not-outside' villa. It's just beside a surf shack, so you can just do your surfing at any time you want and get back to your suite/villa, should you need anything. After walking around the Senggigi area, I conclude that it's the best and most luxurious resort hotel in that area!~ Recommended for couples on honeymoon. Take the villa - with the privacy of an indoor pool that's reasonably big. Have already recommended to 2 couples!
Lovely stay but a little bit far away from town”
I had nice stay in Sudamala Suites & Villas Senggigi, staff is nice and helpful. The restaurant serves nice food with reasonable price. But, it's really a little bit far away from town. You can get private board on the beach to Gili island just next to hotel.
Lovely Resort ”
Fantastic place to stay. You feel like you've arrived in paradise as soon as you arrive. Staff go out of their way to help with any requests and are genuinely so friendly and kind. Really a wonderful place to stay. Did not want to leave.
The staff had been great all the time since our arrival pickup at airport. My room has sunset view so I can just lay on the sofa at the balcony and enjoy the sunset each day. The food and drinks for lunch and dinner are fine. One bad thing is there are plenty of mosquitos in the room and I had more than 10 bites on one hand. Anyway, I would still come back again with longer stay.
Small Property but Perfect!”
Stayed in Sunset View Suite for 3 nights. Worth it if you don't mind the sounds of the waves. Room is airy and has high ceilings, big indoor tub and outdoor shower. A must to watch the sunset every day before dinner at the deck by the ocean! Staff are friendly and fluent in English. Will definitely come back here.
