Great value for money”
This was my 5th trip to Tokyo, I go every 4 years for a karate tournament. On the last 3 trips, I have stayed at the Tokyo Dome as this is where everyone else stays and it is close to the tournament venue. As Tokyo Dome is 5 stars and this hotel is 2 stars, I was apprehensive about having to adjust to the lower standard. As it turns out, I was very pleasantly surprised. The room was well presented. The breakfast was excellent. Unfortunately no cereal, but a good selection of other things including hot foods. The staff at the restaurant wear tuxedos, which gives the feel of a 5 star hotel. On the downside, the mattress is hard as a rock. But then Tokyo Dome is the same. As I am quite heavy (100kg), I find that I benefit from a soft mattress. As such, I always pack a mattress overlay. I have one made of memory foam which I bought from the Foam Booth in Surry Hills. It takes up about 30% of my suitcase, but for me it is worth it. Aside from the mattress, the only other issue was finding room to open my suitcase. I have an 82cm suitcase which I didn't want to open on the bed as it would get the bed dirty. The only place I could open it was the hallway floor and even then it would only just fit. And I would have to move it to be able to open the front door. But I got used to this and so it was not really an issue. Overall, I would say that this hotel is underrated and I thought it was an excellent alternative to the 5 star accommodation which I am used to. I saved a lot of money by staying here compared to the Tokyo Dome. If you are looking for western food, I would recommend Jonathan's restaurant across the road. It is on the first floor above a convenience store.
Great place!”
We loved this hotel. The size of the room for the price is excellent, and if you are in Tokyo for anything near the Tokyo Dome, the location is great. Parts of it were a little dated looking, but the hotel was about to undergo renovations after our stay. Looking forward to seeing what the new rooms look like on a future stay. One note: There are no coin operated laundry machines, and the hotel's laundry service is extremely expensive.
Nice hotel near Tokyo Dome”
Very good option to stay in Tokyo, very close to Tokyo Dome with access to restaurants, a small mall and some attractions. Also very close to Suidobashi station, from where you can move thru the subway network of Tokyo.
Good location for a short stay”
Easy access, 5 minutes trundle with wheeled luggage from Suidobashi Station (JR, two stops on Chuo Line from Tokyo Station). Just off a busy road with Tokyo Dome amusement centre very close, but hotel is remarkably quiet. Friendly and helpful staff with adequate English. Extensive options for Japanese breakfast, British options limited to fried eggs, salad, toast and jam. Rooms a little small but functional and comfortable. No regrets about staying here.
Good Location, Good Staffs”
This property is very near to Tokyo Dome. If you would like to attend an event, this property is very suitable. The room is still using keys, and you need to deposit your key at the front desk before you leave. I would really like to thank the staffs. I didn't wake up on the day of departure, until the front desk called me. They didn't blame me, and I would like to thank for their understandings.
suidobashi hotel is excellent ”
Pros: the hotel is in a prime location for shopping, food, and entertainment. It is right next to the Tokyo Dome and Don Quixote supermarket and is close to the subway. It is not recommended for families due to the space but is great for solo trips and smaller groups. I would stay in again.
Very pleasant, clean and a, professional staff. ”
We had a great stay! Loved the nearby diner, shopping and fun at Tokyo dome! Clean comfortable room! Great hotel for a reasonable price! Easy to find and easy access to Metro stations!
Very Comfortable.”
The staff was very professional and able to speak English very well. They were very attentive to needs and helpful. The breakfast was nice and a great way to start the day. The hotel is not far from both metro and JR stations as well as Tokyo Dome City. I would definitely recommend this hotel.
Ordinary business hotel”
This hotel is close to the Suidobashi station. (Even though, Suidobashi station is not that convenient to move around Tokyo.) Their staffs were very nice & polite and its breakfast was very good. However, the room was so tiny and its facilities were very old, so I hope that they renovate the hotel in near future. Overall, Good business hotel with an old and small room.
Nice Hotel”
I stayed for 4 nights here and had a nice experience. The room was clean. The free shower gel and shampoo had a nice quality. The staffs were friendly. Many restaurants nearby. 5 minutes walk to subway and train station. Only 2 stations away from Tokyo station. Only downside was internet was quite slow. I managed to work with it but it's not so fast for watching video.
Good Value for money”
Good location to Tokyo Dome and access to train station. Pleasant staff, fast check-in and check-out.
Good location to Tokyo Dome and good accessibility ”
Good location to Tokyo Dome and good accessibility (near to JR and subway station) . You can find shipping place and restaurants around there. The hotel serves Nice breakfast (salad and variety of dishes).
Great stay at Suidobashi Grand Hotel”
I enjoyed my stay at the hotel very much and would definitely stay there again, should I return to Tokyo.
Good location if you want a hotel near tokyo dome”
Room is ok and the staff were really accommodating and nice. Location is very good if you want near at tokyo dome
Very pleasant and affordable ”
I loved it. The location and the surrounding is perfect. Access to JR (3 min by foot) or other 2 metro lines. Room is very small, but for that affordable price I didn't expect anything bigger. Very clean, good design, pleasant to come back. Recommend very much.
Absolutely disappointing service ever.”
I was exhausted when I arrived looking forward to warm & friendly service. But in fact, this hotel staff were really cold-hearted. When I ask their help, they just say "No. Cannot.". No flexibility or whatsoever. Hotel price is quite pricy for what it is. Unless you really have to stay right next to Tokyo Dome, I will recommend you to find another hotel.
Very near Tokyo Dome”
If you plan to spend a day around Tokyo Dome, stay here. Good service and comfortable room.
Exhausting”
I made a reservation for twin rooms for 2 people without realising that the maximum occupancy was only 1 per room and i needed 2 rooms for 4 people. It was not a pleasant experience as i arrived at almost 12 midnight and was informed that i had to pay extra for the additional people. The manager in charge spoke little english and insisted to speak to my brother who speaks japanese despite me asking if we could wait till the next morning. my family was tired and i had an event to attend to the next day in the morning. While I understand that i had made a reservation meant for only 2 people, shouldn't the hotel not sell their rooms for only 1 when it is a twin room with 2 beds? It can be so misleading. Besides, I've booked the room for 3 nights, i cannot run away. If i had to pay because of a mistake, i will. But i believe the hotel could be more understanding that it was past midnight and their guests were tired.
Small Room”
Everything was good except the size of the room. There is hardly space for our luggage to go in. At the end I could only place our luggage at the passage way near the door.
Good!”
I could feel systematic running of hotel such as cleaning, security.
