"i was staying at sukhumvit soi 11 before i change my nights as my mates all flew back and i was staying at this hotel due to near 1 of a local thai friend condo. A change from the bursting night life of bangkok. 10 mins walks away from the nearest BTS. Hotel was very clean and quiet. nothing much to boost about. for budget traveller, this could be a steal for you."

"Decent place, nice sized room, and okay value for money. Toilet is rather tiny, and most of the stuff in the room in terms of amenities is chargeable. The soap is so tiny that its a joke and they may as well not keep it. Even the condom packet kept is chargeable. Make sure you have ur toiletries in hand so you dont have to use the stuff in the room. After check in your suitcase can take ages to come to your room, mine took well over an hour, and I had to call to get it. The hotel is guest friendly and there are no additional charges for a joiner. Location is a little off the main road, and if you are going to do a fair bit of up and down then its inconvenient compared to Salil or Grand President or President Palace. Still your in Soi 11, and this is the best possible area to stay in on Sukhumvit for a solo guy. There was a 1000 THB deposit, refunded in full to me, and also they went out of their way with good sound advise to get to the airport. I asked them to hire a car for me, but got great advise that since it is only me, and i only have 2 bags I should just take a regular metered taxi. Cost me just 300THB plus toll 90THB to airport, compared to 800THB min I have paid earlier. 10 on 10 for the hotel staff on honesty and going out of the way to ensure the customer's best interests are safe-guarded. Will I stay here again, definitely yes, unless I get a better deal from the others closer to Sukhumvit Main Road."

"for the price this must be the best room in sukhumvit. the hotel itself is a welcome oasis from the hustle and bustle of sukhumvit 11 - which is itself a great place to explore. soi 11 must be my favourite street in bangkok great bars like cheap charlies and the volkswagen cocktail bars parked up along the street, restaurants like rosabieng and the one a little further down in a traditional wooden thai building, clubs further down like bed superclub and the nest - rooftop bar in the felix hotel...theres also the liveliest club in the area every night in the basement of the ambassador - climax - a short stumble to the elevator that takes you to your room at the end of the night. the view we had of the sukhumvit area from our room around nana and ploenchit was amazing! the hotel has a decent pool and strangely - an aviary with loads of exotic birds! we had no problems with the staff we encountered although slightly bemused by the baht deposit you have to stump up up front to cover mini bar tab etc....all in all a great place to stay with just about everything you might need right on your doorstep and a short stroll from the sky train...."

"Hotel reception is really nice, large and open, access to the underground car park too. Check in was delayed by about 45 mins, but this was no problem for me, just sat down and used the free wifi. Rooms were a nice size, not too small, largish TV and DVD player, Good size bed. Bathroom is viewable from the bedroom, but a blind is installed also. Wifi works flawlessly in the rooms, at a decent speed. Bathrooms were the only real let down, shower looked rather old, but worked flawlessly, and the towels looked like they had seen quite a bit of service, so a bit tatty. Cleaner was great, made the room spotless every day. Mini bar prices were set really low, only 20baht mark up on the beers. Swimming pool was a good size for a swim, its quite cold though, and it was out of action for at least 4 days. Sauna was broken the whole stay. Free tuk tuk takes you either to sukhumvit or nana BTS, at certain times it wont go to nana BTS because of traffic. Be warned Sukhumvit Soi 4 is a redlight area. I would not walk down here with children. If you use Soi 6 you can avoid all but 2 of the girly bars where it cuts back onto soi 4. Hotel is rather far down Soi 4, heading down its on the right, highlighted by a sign saying soi 2, and a Boss suites sign on the left side of the road. Reasonable laundry. Food was rather good. The bar as specials on cocktails, I will say that they were the WORST cocktails i have ever tasted, so drank elsewhere. Very good for the money if you can live with the location."

"Very clean rooms, have stayed there 4 times now. Some of the TV's don't have good connections, but most work fine. Restrooms are clean and well stocked, beds are pretty good, not too hard. Staff is very friendly, just make sure to get a recipe for the key deposit. I didn't get the 500THB deposit returned even though I handed them the key personally! Kinda deep in the Soi off Sukhumvit Rd, but if you don't mind taking a motorcycle taxi for 10 Baht it's not bad, overall this is a nice place. "

"This hotel has an outdoor swimming pool; where you can enjoy the sun while swimming, sunbathing, indoor gym (with free water bottles available just next to the door to the gym), cafeteria with variety spread of breakfast buffet served daily, daily room-keeping service without fail & we return to our room everyday to find new towels with toiletries and the room all well kept and cleaned, and also not forgetting all the friendly staffs working at the hotel - the receptionists, kitchen staffs. Probably the only setback would be the distance of the hotel from the nearest train station. I would recommend anyone whom are going to stay at this hotel, to exit from Asok Station, Exit gate number 2, from there, you'll see a bar with beer buffet for 300+ baht next to a 7-11, go straight towards Times Square and then turn left at the the junction before Sukhumvit Plaza. Go straight from there, you'll see little Korea town on your right (inside Sukhumvit Plaza); they have free shuttle to the hotel"

"We booked this hotel without paying much attention to location except for the word Sukhumvit. We thought it would be located near Sukhumvit Road but discovered, at closer inspection, that this hotel was a bit away from that busy road. At first disappointed but when we checked in to the Asoke Residence we discovered a beautiful, clean, modern and fully appointed room. We were thrilled! Since the hotel is located down a driveway off of Asoke, it gets no traffic noise at all! It is amazing how quiet it is! It is located just a couple short blocks from the metro so taking the train to/from the airport involves no transfers and is a straight shot for about $1.00usd! So convenient!! The included breakfast is great! Choices for everyone with eggs made to order served by the pool. The room has good lighting, fridge, microwave, coffeemaker, in room safe, plenty of hangers, strong aircon, good shower with plenty of hot water, quality shampoo/bodywash, wonderful bed. We have been to Bangkok about 8 times and would book here again. They also have extended stay rooms! "

"'Ibis Bangkok Sukhumvit 24' is 'Mercure Bangkok' and vice versa. It's a new hotel - everything is good. Located just a few steps away from BTS Skytrain station 'Phrom Phong' - very convenient. But, the room is a little bit small - thus feel confined when maneuver within the limited space. They have 82 TV channels (if you have time to watch!). Fruits for breakfast should have more varieties - to reflect Thailand, as garden of fruits. There is a halal restaurant 'Usman' - about 500m away. "

"A little bir difficult to find at first and that was more to do with the direction given to me by the staff. Look for MK restaurant then Bourbon Street Restaurant and turn left if you are coming up from Sukhumvit-BTS. Very surprised at this place only a few months old. A little problem with the room the first night but the staff changed without hesitation. Tea and coffee and toast in the morning another pleasant surprise. The beds and Pillows sooooooo comfortable. Internet a bit hit and miss but could be down to the bad weather in Bangkok at the moment. Will stay again for sure"
