"Been to Bangkok many times for pleasure and usually stay in Sukhumvit. Our gold standard hotel is The Sukhothai but we prefer Sukhumvit location near the BTS / MRTA. We also like the Sheraton Grand as the pool is lovely, buffet really good and location excellent. The Movenpick is stylish & is our new favorite pool plus location is really good, so we'd go back. PROS: -Staff extremely friendly and helpful. -Free tuk-tuk service to and from hotel to Terminal 21 (which is right at Asok BTS & Sukhumvit MTRA) -Central Sukhumvit location. -Extremely quiet, stylish and updated. -5 star amenities (24hr room service / free gym / free Wifi / pool & roof bar / restaurant). -Rooms are nice/clean w/ wood floors and bathrooms updated & well designed. -The pool is fab. CONS: -Not the best buffet in the world but perfectly adequate and plentiful. Could have better pastry & fruits (pastries are rather soggy ... no mango?) -Mattress fine but on the hard side."

"When I first enter the room, I found little pieces of food on the table, so I called the operator to ensure if my room has been cleaned before. I actually don’t mind removing them by myself but I was concerned about the hygiene due to Covid-19 situation. The operator said that she has no idea, she needed to ask the housekeeper. Then, another staff visited my room to pickup the pieces of food. He apologized and left. I asked if my room has been cleaned or not. He said it was an empty room and he has no idea about it. After I checked out and left for an airport. I found my ID card missing, so I called back to the hotel front. I told them that I do need the ID card to take a flight that morning and requested to have a housekeeper checking for the ID card in my room. The operator told me he will do so and call me back. It’s already another day. I’ve been back home after a very difficult situation at the airport. I never get a call. Actually, the hotel is nice and fully facilitated. The room is kind of small but lovely and convenient. The location is good. The promo price is the best. All the staff treated and talked to me very politely. But, their service is obviously careless. I hope they mind this review and improve. Then, it would be very perfect."

"Simply love the location! We've been visiting Bangkok very frequently and always stayed in a 5 star hotel in Chitlom. Just found out about Grand Centre Point Sukhumvit through my friend in facebook. It's the best hotel for our needs! We can take the MRT train from Sukhumvit station directly to Chatuchak market. Exit at Kamphangpetch station to section 24 where all the latest fashion stalls are situated. In the past, we usually take the BTS train from Chitlom to Mochit station then brave through the crowds and sun to transfer to another train using the MRT line to Kamphangpetch station. Appreciate the welcome platter of fresh fruits upon arrival. Spent the first few days playing with the electronic toilet. Love the microwave where we can heat up the Best Hot Chocolate that we bought from the Gourmet Supermarket at Terminal 21 Shopping mall. It was indeed very rich & yummy! We had a wonderful time swimming and soaking in the jucuzzi. Enjoyed the widespread morning buffet breakfast too! My only gripe is the water heater. The temperature kept fluctuating from very hot to very cold. It's frustrating having to spent the entire time adjusting it. I hope they'll address this problem soon as we're spending more time in the shower and wasting precious water. An ironing board with iron will be a bonus too especially we've bought tons of clothes and would love to wear them immediately after some light rinse. All in, we adore this hotel and have already booked flights to Bangkok in December!"

"for the price this must be the best room in sukhumvit. the hotel itself is a welcome oasis from the hustle and bustle of sukhumvit 11 - which is itself a great place to explore. soi 11 must be my favourite street in bangkok great bars like cheap charlies and the volkswagen cocktail bars parked up along the street, restaurants like rosabieng and the one a little further down in a traditional wooden thai building, clubs further down like bed superclub and the nest - rooftop bar in the felix hotel...theres also the liveliest club in the area every night in the basement of the ambassador - climax - a short stumble to the elevator that takes you to your room at the end of the night. the view we had of the sukhumvit area from our room around nana and ploenchit was amazing! the hotel has a decent pool and strangely - an aviary with loads of exotic birds! we had no problems with the staff we encountered although slightly bemused by the baht deposit you have to stump up up front to cover mini bar tab etc....all in all a great place to stay with just about everything you might need right on your doorstep and a short stroll from the sky train...."

"The whole property is great. It is a brand new place & looks exactly like the pictures posted above. Location is great, away from the hustle of Sukhumvit. Really near BTS Nana, a walk away from Terminal 21 & loads to eateries around. Staffs are friendly. It being a new hotel, the house phone was not installed yet so if you require any assistance you would have to go down to the lobby. Room is spacious & clean, bed is comfortable and the size great for family. Would definitely come back here!"

"The location is the best part of this hotel. It is 5-7mins walk from Phrom Phong BTS. Its is very close to Dinosaur park which is place of attraction for kids. Sukhumvit is a huge area which has different lanes. Check-inn regency park is in Sukhumvit 22. We saw many Indians staying in this hotel which gave us a comfort. Its very close to a very nice Punjabi restaurant. Hotel is very safe. Easily accessible, clean and has very helpful staff. Special thanks to Nancy and Vijay(he is an Indian Staff at reception who comes for night shift)They both guided us very well about the nearby attractions, markets, internal transfers. They arranged for taxi's whenever we needed. Also thanks to Cartoon, Oil and other staff, for their courteous and helpful behavior. Rooms are clean, bathrooms have a bathtub but doesnot have a proper shower area which most of Indian's might not be comfortable with. All rooms are with safety lockers. Make sure you keep your valuables in it. We loved the hotel..Pool is on 6th floor open to sky. You can oversee giant wheel from the pool area which makes it look more attractive. Overall very good experience. Value for money.. "

"the hotel was difficult to find because it is located in a mall and signage is clear from one side of the street. we took tolls from don muang airport which was fast but the taxi driver needed to ask people in the area where the hotel is this is a common review....he also had to turn around...look for foodland...i recommend they place a larger sign on both sides of the street...who knows if this is practical... the restaurants are good, a true coffee place in the lobby. the best part is a 24 hr grocery store and asian/western dining like diner..order off the menu...good variety of low and high price restaurants...starbucks is a 5-7 minute walk...and located in a mall with tops grocery and burger king...in the direction of the bts....which is about a 15 minute walk... the front office staff tae, aye were especially excellent. a women named vien at the desk was excellent...helpful, efficient and spoke excellent english the rooms are outstanding, quiet, clean and very comfortable. the bath is huge...like scandanivian huge...i actually think they were imported from sweden or denmark...my husband is 6ft and he found it huge...the shower had great water pressure. the kitchen had wwf and european cutlery and cleaning sponges...excellent job on the the area seems to have a lot of japanese expats living there...there are alot of japanese restaurants in the area...the area seems to have a fair bit of medical tourism...overalll a great place to stop over...the area has a number of serviced apartments...the gym is great...overall a really outstanding experience for about 150 usd a night... ..the beds are divine...the threadcount sheets are really great, big and the sofa too was big and comfortable...one of the best experiences in a hotel...beyond expectation...i would definitely stay if i was passing through bangkok again...also free wifii...when we compared some hotels charge 1000 baht per day...like 50 usd a day... "This hotel deserves a much higher rating. Big, clean rooms, good staff, great location close to the BTS and the heart of Sukhumvit. Good rates. I've stayed here multiple times over the past years, will always book this hotel when I'm in Bangkok. I've tried many hotels in Bangkok at higher prices and with higher ratings, the value for money you get here is really good."

"I decided to stay here for one night using my Agoda cash, even I stayed for free, I wouldn't mind to pay to stay at your hotel. I don't know the name of the front lady staff at the main building who upgraded our room, but I'd like to thank her for this upgrading. Even it was just a night, we had a great time. The room was clean. For breakfast, there was variety of choices and there were delicious. Especially omelet. It was one of the best omelets I ever had. If someone asks me to recommend a hotel in Sukhumvit area, Rembrandt Hotel will be one of those hotels."

In and around Sukhumvit

More about Sukhumvit

Sukhumvit is Bangkok’s all-star shopping district, serviced by a spread of transport hubs, restaurants and entertainment complexes. Slick and modern, this district takes its name from Sukhumvit Road, essentially the backbone of Bangkok. It may not have many historic sites, but it more than makes up for this with cosmopolitan polish.

Sukhumvit certainly has something for everyone. Business travelers gravitate to five-star hotels around Queen Sirikit National Convention Center; tourists peruse back-alley bazaars and street cafés; while shoppers can pass entire days in the air-conditioned comfort of Sukhumvit’s huge shopping malls.

Most of the hotels in Sukhumvit are to the west around Robinson shopping center and several Skytrain (BTS) and subway (MRT) stations. To the east are shopping hubs like Emporium, the trendy J Avenue and Ekkamai Major shopping centers. The latter is next door to Bangkok's Eastern Bus Terminal. All of this is due north of a major bend in the Chao Phraya River, where express shuttles ply from one pier to the next.

Sukhumvit is a great place to be based because local transport lines head out to every major district in Bangkok. Sukhumvit itself branches off into countless side streets (sois), some of which can be explored on foot. Sois 4 and 21 (21/1 is called Soi Cowboy) light up at night with a tempting array of go-go bars and nightclubs.

There’s an art to exploring Bangkok, and first-time visitors are easily overwhelmed by the scope and sprawl of this city. The best experiences await those who narrow the field to one or two neighborhoods. Booking hotels in Sukhumvit puts tourists in a prime position to enjoy Bangkok’s cosmopolitan side, without giving up access to historic attractions.
