Excellent - They go extra mille”
So lovely, friendly, welcoming, smiling, helpful and lovely staff. The place is very nice. It has a big terrace at the top that you can chill and work. Another big terrace where I practice yoga everyday. The breakfast, what is really good, is included. Wifi works really well, I work here every working day. A few lovely and smiling ladies are cleaning everything all day long. You have everything you need around: shops, restaurants.. I have come twice and I will be back again. perfect stay !”
First of all, as I didn't know anything before about Palolem, I've only booked 2 nights at Summer. But after having a round there and see how was Summer hostel, I immediately ask for staying 8 more days. Summer is very well situated and the staff is really great ! (I forgot to ask the name of the lady at the reception, but she is so nice and it was a pleasure to meet her) the room is also very clean, there is a washing machine facility, and the breakfast is also good (especially the samosa). really I couldn't found something like that for that price ! I recommend you Summer !

Great place, thanks to the people who work there (permanent and travelers) They had little gatherings organised almost every day by one of the travelers, which took us to some of the coolest places in Palolem ! (Bars and restaurants) Yoga classes with Martine in the morning where great ! The place is clean, and the morning breakfast is very good ! Little problems with electricity, but that's not their fault

It's a good one”
Came here with a friend and stayed in one of the mixed dorm rooms. Clean, safe, and only a few minutes' walk from the beach. The lockers under the bed are nice and HUGE - each is half of the length of the bed (you need to provide your own lock or buy one from the front desk). There are laundry racks on the roof for drying clothes. The breakfast offered at the adjoining cafe was impressive, especially for being complimentary (with my specific reservation type anyway). Staff were helpful, gave good advice for taking local buses and offered to call for a tuk-tuk when my friend and I were heading to the bus staiton. We paid more for this than it's realistically worth, but we came during peak tourist season and also booked the room pretty last-minute - so I'm sure that was part of the cost. I would have no issues staying there again if I ever return to Palolem.

Excellent Dorms”
The dormitories at Summer are well maintained. The dorm cost is quite less and more importantly amazing breakfast is complimentary. This hostel is very close to Palolem beach.

Peaceful and serene stay”
We were a group of 10 and we opted for the deluxe rooms. The name says its a hostel but it was no less than a great resort. They have separate wooden rooms like huts and the washrooms are very spacious and clean. I would definitely recommend this to any one headed towards Palolem beach.

A good value hostel!”
Great place to stay for a couple days.. I have no complaints really.. When all the other hostels jacked their prices up for Christmas, summer stayed reasonable! Also bottle shop next door but the owner will RIP you off! He charges extra for tourists.. What a terrible thing!

Totally worth staying”
Great atmosphere, the people here are just amazing, from the cleaning ladies to the volunteers. Breakfast is great, with a selection of fresh brewed coffee. The hostel is near everything is Palolem, and there is a wine shop just next door. Amazing stay.

Great amenities and chill staff”
I stayed at SUMMER with two new travel friends and we really enjoyed it. The staff was really awesome -- Bee and Raunak were very relaxed and ready to offer recommendations around whatever we asked about. It's a fairly large hostel with really nice amenities (like a gym) and organized activities throughout the week to help people meet each other. Loved the sunset kayaking! I've already recommended this place to friends, and will definitely stay here again.

Very good quality price and friendly place”
We booked a standard room which was spacious. The AC works well and hot water pressure was excellent. The entire room has been freshly painted. It's only 7 mns far from the middle of the beach. Drinking water and complete breakfast are complimentary. Several options are provided regarding the breakfast: eggs (often boiled, sometimes cooked as omelet or scrambled eggs) , vegeterian samosas, bread, bananas, watermelon, jam, butter, bread and tea or coffee. The best of the is the staff, really attentive and helpful. always trying to go an extra mile. Take advantage of the rooftop terrace while having your drinks. There is also a common kitchen that is basically equipped. They also offer laundry service at very low price.

Booking error - disappointed solution from the hostel”
Well located with a nice common area. Breakfast quality could be improved. We got disappointed with the way the hostel managed a booking error that occurred us. We successfully booked online a double bed A/C but when arrived at the hostel the room was not available. The staff told us to deal directly with the site and if we wanted the room we booked it would cost extra because the online price was lower and in their words they could not "lose money". Solution offered by staff was another room without A/C for the same price we booked the A/C room online, that means we lost money because we could have booked the non A/C room for cheaper online. Main point: its the hostel responsibility to manage their listing at third party sites, guests have nothing to do with it, and should received at least what they booked for. Im sure no one expects this kind of solution from any hostel in the world who really cares about the well being of their guests and travelers.

Relaxed, clean, hostel. ”
The room we stayed in was hotel standard, large, bright, clean with a spotless bathroom (and hot water!). Breakfast is simple and lovely. The terrace is a lovely place to relax and chill. Really enjoyed our stay.

We stayed in a double room with private bathroom. Pros: Big and clean room, with windows, good hot shower. Non A/C, only fan but Ok. Comfortable bed. They give you towels and toilet paper. They have good coffee included with the breakfast. Cons: The check in is at 2:30pm so if you arrive after a long trip you should know that. Anyway, the manager was very friendly and helpful, but the lady was super rude with us, and very strict with that. The wifi didn’t reach our room..... They tables in the bar are always dirty.

Although I had a generally positive experience, there are a few warnings for future travellers. 1. Regarding location, it is quite far from the airport so prepare to pay about 2000 rupees, however, on the plus side, the hostel has a nice distance from the beach, close enough to walk to but still away from the touts and noisy restaurants. The staff are friendly and helpful, especially the girl who worked in the morning, but they do what is needed and not much more. Facilities are basic.

I had a nice stay at this hostel. The room was big and the AC worked, but no Wi-Fi in the room unfortunately. It would have been nice if someone had cleaned the bathroom. The location is not too far from the beach and the bus stops just out front. Breakfast was great and there is a small café inside. The staff were also nice.
