Amazing social stay”
I loved staying here. The staff was super kind and helpful. There were other travelers staying there when I was & we all became friends & explored the island together. Apparently this isn’t uncommon for guests at Summer. When I come back to koh Tao I’ll definitely stay here again

Hostess with the mostest”
So helpful and so sweet! Great location, far from the noise but close enough to get into any action. She helped me with motorbike rental, taxis, answered all my questions and was so patient. Dogs are friendly. Nothing negative to say.

Chill ass place”
This place is really chill and super friendly. I used to live on Koh Tao and would hang out there with various friends who stayed and worked there. I came to know the staff so sometimes I stay there when I visit now because it’s so chill. By Thailand standards, it’s very clean and well taken care of. It’s definitely well above average as far as budget stays go. For the money, it’s hard to beat. The bed was comfortable as well...which of course is rare in this country.

Would stay again”
Summer was clean, quiet, and social. It was sometimes annoying to walk up the hill to get there, but the walk is only 8 minutes from the north of Sairee beach. As it was further away, it had a great panoramic view of the beach and the mountains. The private room was excellent, with a balcony facing the mountains. Free water was provided and there is a fridge as well. Downstairs we have access to a kitchen. I will stay again.

Chill Out at Summer Guesthouse ”
Summer Guesthouse is the perfect place to stay as a backpacker on Koh Tao. Nicky, the owner is super accommodating and friendly. The rest of the staff are always helpful as well. At night, Summer becomes a hang out for locals and people staying. The hostel is a close walk to Sairee beach and the little town. If you want to see the rest of the island, scooter is a great way to do it and Summer rents them to you. All in all a perfect way to spend your holiday! Would highly recommend both Summer Guesthouse and Koh Tao!

Really enjoyed a 5 night stay here in the double room! Situated far enough to not hear music at night but a short walk from the centre! Some great restaurants down this road! Pork leg and 995 duck to name a couple

It was a bit of a walk out if the town about 10/15 mins however that meant less noise. But it is on a main road so you do hear motorbikes going past all night very loudly. The staff were very helpful in finding us motorbikes and booking the snorkling trip. The air conditioning was very strong which was good, bed comfy, room clean.

We regularly maintain all the AC units in all our rooms and had you told us there was a problem we would have switched your room or had the engineer round within 1 hour. The rooms are cleaned daily and to a high standard. We do charge an additional fee for extra guests staying in the room and this was made clear to you on booking and covers the extra bed you requested for your room
Best place ever”
I can not recommend this place enough. The staff and the people is the best part about. Everyone is super friendly and helpful. Its not as much of a party, but more of a sociable atmosphere. There os a big sottong area where everyone gathers around and spends time together. The location is perfect, as you are close to everything. The hostel also can organise anything from snorkeling to taxi withouy any extra charge. Just Brilliant. This place is a must in Koh Tao.

Great guest house”
We stayed for 3 nights and loved this guesthouse. From the moment we arrived the staff were extra friendly, helpful and knowledgable about the island. You could book up various bits round the island from here with ease. Our room was spacious, clean and comfortable with an extra comfy bed and excellent AC. The place had a common room downstairs which always had people in chatting away which was nice and friendly. The guesthouse itself was only 5 mins walk away from town with excellent restaurants near by. I can't recommend summer guest house enough. Thanks again to Nikki and her team for everything. A lovely room with a balcony and a great bed! The staff is utterly amazing and at your every service. I lost my phone and the owner emailed the community and got it returned to my room - no problem! I extended my stay it was so lovely. I highly recommend Summer Guesthouse!

This is the perfect place to stay at when in Koh Tao. It was clean and the location is great because its far enough to not hear the bar music but close to all activities. All the staff were very helpful and the owner is very friendly. We will be staying here again!

Pros: Our room was very big. The location is also away from the downtown area, so it was more quiet. And the super market across the street was great. And if I remember correctly the wifi was good. Cons: It's a bit of a walk to get to the little downtown area. We had a moto most of the time so it was fine, but it's a solid 8-10 minute walk with a slight uphill incline on the way back home. This place is also a hostel, so there was quite a bit of noise until quiet time. Not a big deal, but if you're trying to go to bed early, beware. The biggest complaint was this terrible smell coming up from the sink / shower. Maybe they had a sewer problem, but it was really bad.

As you mention we do enforce quiet time so that anyone wanting to carry on can leave for the parties in Sairee and anyone remaining at Summer can be ensured a good nights sleep. It's the shower drain that creates the smell - Thai's don't build u-bends into the drainage system to eliminate to odours. We have fitted special drain covers which, providing they remain wet (the daily clean and the customer showering normally being sufficient) traps any smells. We will re-check the system in your room to make sure it is working as it should so thank you for letting us know.
