Summer House Staff is lovely!! Big shout out to Georgia and Jana. Very warm welcome in Summerhouse. +Amazing social hostel, good location, free brekkie, clean rooms, activities. - The showers could be better - at some point boiling hot or freezing cold but rarely something in between. There is one or 2 showers where you can actually regulate the temperature :-) But apart from that the best place to be. Thank you Carola from Austria

Stayed for 2 nights in a dorm room - the occupants seemed to be mostly long term so it was very messy and smelly. Bathrooms were cleaned regularly and wifi is good. Overall, a small hostel but was fine.

The hostel was ok but just full of long term people with jobs, so not ideal for solo travellers The kitchen, TV room and terrace are good Not enough toilet on some floors I arrived at 8am on my check in day so they offered me the free breakfast and I was able to use all the facilities which was quite nice They also offer a transfer to the airport but I wasnt able to use it as they were already full for the time I wanted.

I loved the summer house in Brisbane but this one, not so much ! People are so messy, the layout is not great, kitchen super small and run out of fork, plate quite fast at rush hour. There is definitely better place to stay for a little more $

Manager will find any excuse to kick you out. Place is full of bugs and cockroaches. There's a reason its so cheap. Don't stay here

Summer house was extraordinarily clean and easy to be in. The room was comfortable, sheets clean, had my own sink in my room with me. Only one toilet on the floor but there was never a line and it was always in great condition. Showers clean, common areas clean. Guests tidied after themselves. Helpful reception. Go here.

i been back few times after my fair share hostel this one def better run ..cleaner ..or get feeling someone try to keep order. i highly recommend this hostel given my track record with some in immediate area ....def more chilled out and respectful compared to some the mad houses i been to .

I stayed for 1 night.on 26th Nov 2016. Reception Sarah was helpful & flexible.. Made me feel welcome upon arrival & didnt request for key deposit as i am checking out early at 6.30am . She really give an extra mile! Didnt get to use e kitchen ..e fridges & Shelves appears All Full to the brim..Not sure if can accomodate mine if any. The room 21 door Lock may need some checking as sometimes e key just cant open. Thankfully e roomates are around to help open from inside.. Bed is firm & pillow abit thin need to fold it. Need to get ur own lock & key for locker. There is Fan . With bed side AC plug. Shower room & water pressure is fantastic. Will recommend & choose this hostel.again.

Pros. Nice pillow, warm blanket. Love the tea in the kitchen. Complete kitchen for you to make your own breakfast. Nice dining area. Hot shower is OK. Cons. It's budget and sharing dorm, so be prepare for some noises during sleeping time or early in the morning. Sound proofing for wall not so good. When you were sleep, you might feel the floor slightly shaking due to foot steps. Overall bearable and it's a fine and clean place to overnight. The manager she was quite strict and helpful, keeping everything in order.

the staff and the other guest were very nice. i stay on friday it was BBQ party. i don't know what to call but it wasn't noisy. and there was an electric outlet on every seat. i really like it! and near from the kingcross station.

first of all I thought this hostel definitely needs an elevator cuz it was so damm hard for me to bring my baggage up to my room which was this floor and there are many stairs... girls bring boys , boys bring girls to the hostel which was pretty annoying if you want someone next to u it would be good for you but not for me staffs come into rooms to clean up. I met one of them in bathroom at 5am which was impressed. They try to keep the hostel clean even tho some ppl staying make rooms messy or dirty
