Mimi Aung from USA”
Summit Parkview is located within walking distance to Shwe Dagon Pagoda. I have a breathtaking view of Shwe Dagon from my room on the 6th floor. Breakfast buffet was also very good. The staff were friendly and very helpful. My family and I enjoyed our stay at Summit Parkview and will definitely stay there again.

the first impression we got when we reach the hotel is that summit parkview hotel is clean and well maintained for a 14 years old hotel. the staff work there are very polite and speak perfect English. everyone eager to help the customer no matter you tip or not. the included breakfast buffet was excellent for the price and provides huge selction of food. and the best past of the hotel is its location. very close to shewdagon pagoda. and resturants in walking distance.

very nice hotel with very friendly staff”
Enjoyed our stay very much at the Summit Parkview Hotel, staff are very polite and friendly, the rooms were neat, tidy and clean, the location is about 10min from city shopping area but just about a 10-15min walk to the majestic Shawe dagone Pagoda will go back again.

Reliable Place to stay”
This is the 5th or 6th time I have stayed at Summit Parkview Hotel. It is a consistent, reliable place to stay in Yangon. There is a Black Canyon cofee shop within easy walking distance. They have excellent coffee (of course) but also lots of choices for inexpensive meals. There is also a department store (Blazon) and a grocery story (City mart) that are very close.

Lovely hotel, kind and courteous staff”
We used to stay at this hotel regularly, but for a few years we took a break as the prices had tripled. Now the price has come back to a normal range so we tried it again. The rooms have been nicely updated, the staff is as kind and courteous as before, and for us, the hotel is very accessible for wheelchair users. The breakfast buffet is also generous and varied. For our friends, the location was perfect as they could walk through the park and to the Shwedagon Pagoda. We were very pleased with Summit Parkview.

Dear Guest, Thank you for your feedback. Hope to see you again.
i will return - great place to stay”
Very happy with my short stay at the Summit Parkview Hotel. It is a "Guest Friendly" hotel, with an additional US$15 charge, but I understand all high class Myanmar hotels charge about the same so no complaints. I will make this hotel my first choice when I return to Yangon.

Centrally located with friendly and helpful staff”
I recently visited Myanmar as a single traveller and stayed at the Summit Parkview as it was both the starting and ending point for a Peregrine small group tour. I came 3 days prior to my tour and found the hotel comfortable and well located with exceptionally helpful staff and an extensive breakfast buffet: all in all an excellent base to get to know the city. I had booked a high room overlooking the stunning Shwedagon Pagoda - but it still felt like such a bonus! Beautiful Shwedagon Pagoda and sights like the National Museum are within easy walking distance, as are some great local restaurants and cafes. It was easy to get taxis in to town (hotel staff can help get/direct drivers) and importantly, to also find my way back. The safety deposit boxes were secure and the left luggage service was very handy, so I could safely leave my bag of shopping(with goodies bought at Scott market and surrounds)without having to lug it around whilst on tour. I was lucky enough to visit during the water festival in April and there were two stages right next to the hotel on the main road - so it was easy to watch (and photograph) the fun (and get wet whilst walking to/from local cafes!) I would happily recommend this hotel and it's ameneties. Whilst there are hotels offering potentially better rooms/decore/atmosphere in this price bracket (I stayed at another lovely hotel after my tour), the Summit Parkview still is a great, central base for travellers wanting to get out and about in Yangoon with somewhere nice to 'come home' to.

We stayed at the summit Parkview Hotel for several days and it offerd good value for money. At least with the agoda prices. We enjoyed staying there because of the cleanliness of the rooms, the friendliness of the staff and the location near to the Shwedagon pagoda. We can recommend this hotel and would go there again.

Indonisien”
Summit Parkview is prpbably one of the best places to stay in Yangon. Hotel Staff are very friendly and helpful, food is good. Location just outside centre of town is good, more clean than in town and easy to get a taxi for about 1,5 dollars. It is still walking distance about 15 minutes if you don´t mind. If they could provide free wireless internet to all guest then no more requests for a good stay.

Location”
The hotel is not located very near the business I meet with but the surroundings make up for the distance traveled. The internet is not super fast but it is reliable. Construction has not affected me to date except it limits the facilities available. Breakfast was good although options do not change much throughout the week. I stay at Summit Parkview when I travel to Myanmar because it is near the Schwedagon Pagoda which means it is near stores and good places to meet for business meetings. If you are active there is a park across the street that is great for running. If left there over the weekend the park has many activities to take part in and there are shops and markets a short taxi ride away. Most things are $2 - $5 away with the exception of the Airport. The airport varies but $10 is a good number to fight for.

For the price unbeattable”
Enjoyed the meals taken at night they were reasonably priced and the set Chinese Meal I would definitely recommend. The Chefs maintained a constant visual presence, especially when their International Buffet was served at week ends, and also during Breakfast. The room was very comfortable, and rooms could be requested facing the famous Sharaweddogon Pagoda. A sunset can be enjoyed on the rooftop where there is a bar. Mosquitos did not appear to be a problem in the vicinity. Taxi to the center of Yangon was 2,000chat, although I found that I kept being asked for more at times and had to negotiate. Taxi to the Airport if ordered from the Bellboy is also considerably cheaper than booking through the Hotels Reception. Praise must be given to the Travel Agent, which is situated amongst the shops in the Hotel for his friendliness and his rate of exchange. Upon leaving Yangon and exploring the country, the rate given is considerably less, it is best to stock in piles of Chat, to take with you. The Travel Agent will change these back into dollars if not used. American Dollars are the only accepted currency, crisp and new ones. There are no A.T.M s inBurma!Credit Cards are also not accepted. All in all a pleasant stay and I was sorry to leave after visiting the excellent Swimming Pool situated at the rear of the Hotel

We were absolutely satisfied by Summit Parkview. The staff were very kind and always helpful, the rooms were simple but nice and the beds were incredibly comfortable! Also, the location was convenient and had a beautiful view of the Shwedagon Pagoda. On our next stay we will definitely be staying here again.

pleasant stay”
I had a very pleasant stay at Summit. Friendly and helpful staff. Location is perfect away from noisy downtown yet not far. View to Shwe Dagon Pagoda from my room is magnificent especially at night. International buffet breakfast is delicious especially Indian hot dishes. Convenient money exchange, taxis right outside and great restaurants at a walking distance. Loved the gift shops in house. Will definitely stay again in future.

summit parkview hotel”
Summit parkview hotel offers good rooms and good service, however the room are a little bit unpersonnal, but for the price it is quite ok. The best is the buffet breakfast, open from 6am till 10.30am, lots of choice and nice breads. The pool is also quite nice. The hotel is close to the Schenedagon Pagoda, I even had a view of it from my room.It is also close to the thailand Embassy if you need to make a visa for Thailand. The only drawback is that there is not many restaurants around the hotel( omly a Black Canyon Cafe ( the chain restaurant from Thailand)and a Singapore's kitchen ( which i did not try). Internet cost $3.00us per hour but only 300kiats at an internet cafe in front of the BIg Market downtown. The moneychanger at the hotel is quite convenient.

Excellent hotel”
I stayed at the Summit Parkview Hotel over an extended weekend in November 2009 and I enjoyed it. The breakfast buffet was a little dull, and the night club was almost empty when I visited it, but apart from that, it was a nice hotel. The hotel also has it's own money exchange bureau that gave me a reasonable rate for my US dollars. Also there is an internet cafe in the lobby.

Lovely friendly hotel”
The staff were most friendly making a stay at this hotel a really nice experience. The room was comfortable and a good size. The hotel is located away from the hustle and bustle of downtown Yangon in a quiet tranquil area opposite a park. But a taxi to downtown is less than US$2, Best of all the Shwedagon Pagoda, the main attraction of Yangon, is only about a 10 minute walk away. We ate breakfast and dinner each day in the hotel restaurant that served very reasonably priced Burmese and Western food. I would highly recommend this hotel.
