We often stay here when we are in town to run errands. It is very near to the port and it is near the city center so we have even walked to it, though it is easier to take a tricycle.

Wedding Guests”
We stayed there for a wedding we attended. My search was 3 Adults and so I booked a twin bed room. It was stated that extra bed is free but when we got there, we paid additional 350 for the extra bed as well as the extra breakfast. It was kind of deceiving but since the place is cheaper than the rest of the hotels/inns, it was just fine for us to pay the extras. Maybe remove the deceiving details if it isn't real. Overall, our stay was okay. It's just an 8-peso ride from Tagbilaran Port, to BQ mall and Asturias. It's also a 2-3min walk to 7-11 and many more food places.

Disappointed ”
The worst thing was the dirty bathroom. I used my hand sanitizer to clean the toilet seat because it was so dirty I couldn’t sit on it! We had a street side room and it was so loud I couldn’t believe it. This is in town and close to the pier. We walked to a place to rent a scooter. The free breakfast was pretty good and they had brewed coffee.

Spacious clean rooms with good breakfast”
A good place to lay your head for the night, although there aren’t many bars or restaurants near this property (unless you want to eat in a mall). The WiFi is decent but only works in the lobby. Staff were nice, but didn’t seem very knowledgeable about the island/tricycle rates/Jeepney routes etc.

Good for a night”
Stayed here last minute after our ferry was cancelled and was very happy with our stay. The rooms are basic but have everything you need including AC and hot water. The staff are friendly and helpful, the free breakfast is a huge bonus, and the attached cafe is fairly cheap with good wifi and coffee.

Close to ferry dock, BQ Mall, St Joseph’s church. ”
Close to ferry dock, BQ Mall, St Joseph’s church. Motorbikes and fitness center available.
I stayed here for four days following some time on Panglao Island. I chose the hotel because of its ideal location by the ferries, the second-largest mall in Tagbilaran, and being in the CBD. The first two nights, I was in the “basement” (room 24) which was a double-bed room without windows. The basement room of course let in no light, was smaller, and was able to be made quite cold with its air conditioner. The lobby Wi-Fi did not reach the basement room. The next two nights, I was in room 3 on the top floor, which is an east-facing twin-bed room on busy C. Galleres Street. The room was much larger and cheerful than the basement one. I never realized it before, but this room sure made me ever aware of it: The sun rises early in the Philippines.. The street noise is not a problem. This room 3 has a flat-screen LG TV that accepts USB flash memory, which is nice if you’d rather watch your movies on the hotel TV than on your PC. The lobby Wi-Fi did reach the room, but sporadically. The beds in both rooms were not that comfortable. Although not officially part of the hotels list of services, Idol, one of the guys working the front desk, was able to arrange for a motorbike rental for me with just a few hours of notice. Because of this, I was able to do a bit of independent travel to Sagbayan Peak, Loboc, and the Chocolate Hills---and get a terrible sunburn! A helmet is provided, cost was 400 for the day, which is more than other places around, but acceptable. Another perk of the location is that there is a fitness center nearby, although a bit dingy. There is a free breakfast with each day’s stay. I ate several other meals here too. Get the fresh veggie lumpia. It’s the best place around to chill out and use the Wi-Fi. And yes, there are plugs for your laptop so you can linger for a while. I would definitely stay here again.

Nice hotel if you book the right room.”
Penthouse rooms. Restaurant Food. Helpful Staff.
We extended our stay because we were stranded in Bohol by a Typhoon and we could not depart the island. We made a decision to upgrade to Penthouse suite as we were a group. The suites can normally sleep 4 or maximum of 6. This made all the difference. Everything was good. Staff were very polite and helpful and we had much more space to move about. There is also a balcony that extends all the way along the back of the hotel with a sea view. We enjoyed our extended stay. Will definitely return there next time we are in Bohol.

Superb Location. Nice room. Good foods.”
Situated overlooking Boat station for Seacat. Staff helpful. Good internet connection.
It was very good. The standard accomodations are a little basic but the rooms are very clean here. Staff were not perfect, but they tried to be helpful. Good effort. Breakfast was standard but we also had evening meals and they were to a very good standard for the money. Travel tip - If you are a group of 4-6 then take one of the 4 Penthouse suites. Great views, lovely big family rooms and good value for money here.

Lovely Hotel with spacious room”
Great location very near to the ferry wharf
The hotel is near to the ferry wharf and only a few minutes tricycle ride costing 40 peso. It is a clean and neat hotel with quite spacious room. The staff was helpful with good customer service. Many tricycles available at the hotel where you can go to ICM (Island City Mall)at about 40 peso. There is a number of good restaurnts around the hotel so do good eateries at ICM.

location, price
if you need a cheap place to crash - this is it. basic hotel with no-frills rooms at a location that's about a few hundred meters from the sea port. another big plus is its cleanliness. the staff was friendly and accommodating. the free breakfast was, well, bare-bones basic: spam and egg with rice and coffee.

Nice hotel next to Tagbilaran port”
Clean room, free breakfast, close to port
The hotel has a good location - 5 min walk (or 1 min trishaw ride) from Tagbilaran port. Across the road is Palma Street, where there are several motorcycle rentals (400-600 peso per day). With a motorcycle I went to Chocolate Hills, Tarsier Center and Alona Beach in 1 day. My room is clean, the staffs are great, breakfast & wifi are free (though the wifi is only available in the lobby). The restaurant serves decent food (mainly Filipino, Japanese or Western dishes with rice). However, the area around the hotel is dark at night, and there is no pavement/sidewalk on the road. As a motorcyclist I had no problem getting around, but as a pedestrian, you should take care walking around at night.

Location near to Pier
Upon arrival all the details were ready at the front desk within a minute or so we were ready to move into the room & even upgraded to penthouse due to non availability of twin bed. The view from penthouse was amazing terrace to sit drink or relax just outside your room, penthouse room was very huge with almost 2 queen beds. over all satisfactary front desk & take care of all your needs, provide all sorts of information. location was also not that bad walking distance to the mall if your riding tricycle only 10 to 20 pesos. Try lazer at Atmo club in the night also very near to the place. last but not least breakfast is with continental & philipino choice & its good.

Hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes walk from the ferry pier coming from Cebu. Not much to do in the city itself but a tricycle to Panglao island is very easy, takes about 30 minutes. Rooms are clean with hot water and airco, big plus is the very friendly staff, can help you with a lot of questions and ideas. Had a pleasant stay

Probably one of the closest hotels to the ferry port. The breakfast was very good but wish the restaurant was open for more than breakfast. You probably need a tricycle to get to anything from here but it is cheap. Rooms were good. Staff was very good.

Great price and location in Tagbilaran
Sun Apartelle is a simple hotel- not a lot of frills- but we found it a great place to stay for the night enroute to our next destination. The staff was friendly and accommodating, and the breakfast the next morning was delicious. The view of the bay from the window was also beautiful. We would definitely recommend this place and would stay here again.

Thankful for being considerate”
I booked thru Agoda for April4-5 but due to doctor's appt conflict, needed to change to April 5-6. If I would change the date thru agoda website, it would charge me double so I emailed Sun Avenue. And after a few exchanges of emails, Ms. Ana confirmed that she already arranged my booking to be moved to apr5-6 without any addl charge. I really appreciated it. And also though I booked a no window room, we stayed at the room with window and my kids enjoyed the view of the sea. Thank you!
