Standing right along Gallares Street is this inexpensive hotel. Major business centers, malls, hospitals, and schools are just within a few steps of the property. Take a short drive down to the beautiful city wharf or enjoy the hotel’s strategic location which allows easy access to most of Bohol’s attractions. Although being a budget venue, the Sun Avenue Tourist Inn And Cafe offers almost all of the standard amenities that can be found in a 2-star hotel. There is also an on-site café which serves a great selection of snacks and freshly brewed coffee. Other facilities guests can enjoy at the Sun Avenue Tourist Inn And Cafe are a function room, laundry, and pressing service. Such exceptional comfort for a decent price can be found at the Sun Avenue Tourist Inn And Cafe.

Good hotel in Tagbilaran City Bohol”
2019 Review (stayed 2018) Pros: Very good location right in Tagbilaran City which is the center of everything in Bohol They have nice cafe where you can order food and coffee Cons: Old, dated rooms needs updating/modernisation No wifi in rooms :( Hence will not recommend to colleagues on business purpose Overall: With the airport transferred to Panglao Island, they need to rethink strategies to drive traffic to the hotel and modernise everything.
bad attitude of the staff”
staff claiming we smoke inside the room. their evidence is the used box of the cigarette was thrown in the trash. we dont smoke inside the hotel. We know its not allowed. we just throw the box in the trash and they suspect us of smoking inside. charging us 1500 php for penalty. we will not go back to this hotel. and also they have lousy breakfast too
Great for the ferry port”
Comfortable place, room service at no extra service cost is nice. Spotless rooms. Busy main road outside and college/high school had some late night party on with loud music across the road. About 10 minutes walk to the ferry.
Good for Short Stay”
Good Location close to Port. No elevator internet not available in rooms. Large bed in large room but the pillows are too small. Need to give 2 blankets. The breakfast is basic without much chooses. Coffee is good
We stayed there for a wedding we attended. My search was 3 Adults and so I booked a twin bed room. It was stated that extra bed is free but when we got there, we paid additional 350 for the extra bed as well as the extra breakfast. It was kind of deceiving but since the place is cheaper than the rest of the hotels/inns, it was just fine for us to pay the extras. Maybe remove the deceiving details if it isn't real. Overall, our stay was okay. It's just an 8-peso ride from Tagbilaran Port, to BQ mall and Asturias. It's also a 2-3min walk to 7-11 and many more food places.
the worst hotel in bohol”
the room was really dirty. my children were really upset to see small cockroaches on the wall and CR. their deluxe beds were really small and the room smelled of cigarette smoke. night front desk duty was rude probably because she was sleepy. nonetheless this was a horrible experience
I had a restful sleep. However, the bathroom didn't have a hot shower. I don't know if only Room 13 doesn't have hot running water, but letting guests choose between a hot and cold shower should be standard. The plated breakfast was allright, though.
Good location. Good staff. ”
Great place. Value for money. Rooms are clean enough for what u pay. Close to everything. Walking distance to pier. Close to food places. STK restaurant at intersection toward jetty is excellent. Thanks
Good for a night”
Stayed here last minute after our ferry was cancelled and was very happy with our stay. The rooms are basic but have everything you need including AC and hot water. The staff are friendly and helpful, the free breakfast is a huge bonus, and the attached cafe is fairly cheap with good wifi and coffee.
Very comfortable room. Nice and cozy. ”
It was a nice stay for one night. Room was upgraded. Comfortable and Very clean room. Location is good too very close to everything walking distance to shopping area. Shower is not hot but warm. Attentive staff and simple but yummy breakfast.
Close to ferry dock, BQ Mall, St Joseph’s church. ”
I stayed here for four days following some time on Panglao Island. I chose the hotel because of its ideal location by the ferries, the second-largest mall in Tagbilaran, and being in the CBD. The first two nights, I was in the “basement” (room 24) which was a double-bed room without windows. The basement room of course let in no light, was smaller, and was able to be made quite cold with its air conditioner. The lobby Wi-Fi did not reach the basement room. The next two nights, I was in room 3 on the top floor, which is an east-facing twin-bed room on busy C. Galleres Street. The room was much larger and cheerful than the basement one. I never realized it before, but this room sure made me ever aware of it: The sun rises early in the Philippines.. The street noise is not a problem. This room 3 has a flat-screen LG TV that accepts USB flash memory, which is nice if you’d rather watch your movies on the hotel TV than on your PC. The lobby Wi-Fi did reach the room, but sporadically. The beds in both rooms were not that comfortable. Although not officially part of the hotels list of services, Idol, one of the guys working the front desk, was able to arrange for a motorbike rental for me with just a few hours of notice. Because of this, I was able to do a bit of independent travel to Sagbayan Peak, Loboc, and the Chocolate Hills---and get a terrible sunburn! A helmet is provided, cost was 400 for the day, which is more than other places around, but acceptable. Another perk of the location is that there is a fitness center nearby, although a bit dingy. There is a free breakfast with each day’s stay. I ate several other meals here too. Get the fresh veggie lumpia. It’s the best place around to chill out and use the Wi-Fi. And yes, there are plugs for your laptop so you can linger for a while. I would definitely stay here again.
extremely helpfull staff”
We were on a short, 1 night stay waiting for ferry at the next day morning. The room was very clean, rather simple and small, decent bed, queit - good solution for our short stay. Very friendly and helpfull staff. Breakfast weak and limited, although restaurant itself especially apart from breakfast hours is worth trying. Proximity to the ferry pier.
Nice hotel if you book the right room.”
We extended our stay because we were stranded in Bohol by a Typhoon and we could not depart the island. We made a decision to upgrade to Penthouse suite as we were a group. The suites can normally sleep 4 or maximum of 6. This made all the difference. Everything was good. Staff were very polite and helpful and we had much more space to move about. There is also a balcony that extends all the way along the back of the hotel with a sea view. We enjoyed our extended stay. Will definitely return there next time we are in Bohol.
Superb Location. Nice room. Good foods.”
It was very good. The standard accomodations are a little basic but the rooms are very clean here. Staff were not perfect, but they tried to be helpful. Good effort. Breakfast was standard but we also had evening meals and they were to a very good standard for the money. Travel tip - If you are a group of 4-6 then take one of the 4 Penthouse suites. Great views, lovely big family rooms and good value for money here.
Very nice budget place with friendly staff”
I chose this place for couple nights stay in Tagbilaran based on good feedback of customers and didn't need to be disappointed. Clean standard rooms and very cosy place overall. Pier is just in walking distance. Hospitality and friendliness of staff easily beat some of 4 star places i stayed in during my trip. Don't forget to buy some very nice placemats made of coconut shell for pasalubong!
Close to attraction, will come back again”
The hotel is close to malls, and church, easy access to tourists destinations, the staff were prompt to see to our needs and when you ask them direction, they will readily reply with the things they know, the room is large and comfortable, aircon, running smoothly, breakfast just enough to start the day, and it is free, wifi reach our room on the second floor, overall we love it, and we will come back again
Lovely Hotel with spacious room”
The hotel is near to the ferry wharf and only a few minutes tricycle ride costing 40 peso. It is a clean and neat hotel with quite spacious room. The staff was helpful with good customer service. Many tricycles available at the hotel where you can go to ICM (Island City Mall)at about 40 peso. There is a number of good restaurnts around the hotel so do good eateries at ICM.
Basic hotel/room - cheap”
if you need a cheap place to crash - this is it. basic hotel with no-frills rooms at a location that's about a few hundred meters from the sea port. another big plus is its cleanliness. the staff was friendly and accommodating. the free breakfast was, well, bare-bones basic: spam and egg with rice and coffee.
