Great View of the Lake and Free Shuttle bus to the Visitor Centers”
The wonderful thing about this hotel is that even though it is not a short walk to the Shuishe Visitor Centre where the pier is, where you can take the ferry rides, it provides shuttle bus there every 20mins which is really convenient. You can also take the boardwalk located right behind the hotel, to walk or cycle along the perimeter of the lake go to the pier. Lovely walk! However if you plan to take the ferry (NT50/pax) then take the shuttle or you will need to find bicycle parking. Electronic bicycles are also available along the pier if you wish to explore the island. Free (manual) bicycles are offered FOC by hotel to cycle around the island too. We took the bicycle to go in the opposite direction of Shuishe Visitor centre, to Xiangshan Visitor centre and it was a lovely scenic easy 2km ride! Free bicycle parking there too. Overall hotel is clean and comfortable and spacious. Robe is provided, so are bottled waters and toiletries. Buffet breakfast sumptuous. Round the island bus (NT80) is also available at the Shuishe Visitor centre.

room very big and clean. My nephew really enjoy big room and bathtub. Hotel has free bicycle for ride around the sun moon lake. Hotel had free shuttle bus to center for finding nice restaurant and 7 eleven. Next time I will take my parent come here again.

Good location to see the lake but quite far from restaurants if u dont have cars. We walked for 15 mins to the center for foods and milk teas. Buffet breakfast does not have many options for foreigners. The staff is nice. They took us to the center to catch the bus back to Taichung.

view from hotel was a bit disappointing but to no fault of hotel. got an upgrade due to the disinfectant smell. room was large and had a good view from balcony (if only the lake was not lacking in water). good night views, and loved the bathroom facilities with in-room onsen

Exceeded my expectations”
Had the Japanese lake side room in a low room. Was clean, large onsen style bath, nice balcony to sit outside and enjoy the scenery. Had the best breakfast at this hotel based compared to the 3 other hotels we stayed in Taiwan. Free bikes for use by Guests, which is a must when visiting Sun Moon Lake. Suppose to be only for 1 hour but it wasn’t tracked. The room was a little cold that apparently could not be controlled in the room but only centrally. Special thank you to William who was very helpful in trying to sort through a mistake made by another staff member. He was very friendly, courteous and helpful.

Excellent hospitality ”
The hotel’s location is great, 2-5mins away from the famous temple, 5 mins away from the harbor where you board the yacht for lake tour. The hotel itself is surprisingly clean, it’s an old hotel but you can see the effort of every staff keeping it clean at their best, and super comfortable stay of course. Big thumbs up for their service and great hospitality, the staff are super professional and friendly.

great hotel just hard to go”
only down side to this hotel if it is very far from the pier on foot. so you need call a pick up car to give you a lift but most traveler can't use their phone to call when they are abroad. you need to ask staff at the pier to call hotel's van to pick you up and that's the only option to get to the hotel. other ways are by public transport which no staffs can speak or understand english. the hotel was great all staff at the hotel can speak good english especially the manager who speak perfect english. the place was serene and peaceful perfect for resting at this beautiful lake. at the back of the hotel is the walking and biking trail which is a great way to enjoy the place.

Air conditioner has no heater function in the room. The control pad’s clock is not functional plus not all functions work. The breakfast is okay, don’t have many meats choice. However, the view is nice. Overall, it is a good hotel.

Satisfying enough ”
We booked deluxe twin with Mountain View. The room was spacious. We enjoyed the bath tub very well. But the room light is a bit too dark. The service was great, they provide several cars to deliver and pick up guests to the surrounding area (free of charge). Just call and 5-10 minutes the driver will be there. The breakfast was good also we can ride bicycle just next door from the breakfast area.

Lake view was ok but not great”
Booked a lake view room but was given a corner room towards the left where part of the lake were dried up, but partial lake view is still better than none. There are not many eateries or shops near the hotel but you can always take the free shuttle provided by hotel to go nearby. Breakfast was good and the cycling path right outside the hotel with free bicycle rental is a bonus
