The Sun Sweet Hotel is close to the train station and night market. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast although mainly Asian included Western food as well.

Quiet Town”
It was my second day in Taiwan and this is my first time in Yilan. Seems like a really quiet area and the night market was a little boring. Nothing much to do here.

Staff not polite and room very old”
When we checked in, the staff didn't greet us nor answer our enquiries promptly. The staff at reception kept on talking among themselves. The online picture room agoda advertisement does not match to the actual room we get. Best is one of the rooms cannot be opened with the key. Basically there are many rooms available even though it was CNY due to the fact that we changed the third room easily since first room door cannot be opened and the next room was at the corner which we requested NOT to have the room while online booking. The most awkward was the breakfast was served at the lobby where tables were laid. Choices of food are limited and restricted - no scrambled eggs. All cooked food were served cold. We would not have booked this hotel given the fact that all other hotels were fully booked. We had no other choice then. Guess what, we checked out early the next day. The only good it is 8 minutes walk to the train station and night market.

Great Location, Near Luodong Night Market”
The hotel is one of the grandest looking hotel at its price. It definitely exceed my expectation from the hotel lobby to very spacious room. Apart from its modern and comfortable design, it is located between Luodong train station and Luodong night market. The night market is a must-go in East Taiwan. Hence to sum it up, Luodong is a must go and Sun Sweet Hotel is perfectly located for a good night rest.

To go to the hotel from Taipei main Station you have to specify that you are getting off at Luodong and not Yilan(2 different stations). It is a short walk from Luodong station (about 10 minutes) just ask the locals if you have difficulties in finding the hotel. The Taiwanese are very helpful. The room are of decent size and comfortable. We were given a burger and a cup of drink for breakfast as the lady cooking breakfast was given a day off (there were not many guests). No complaints as there were many small shops that sell local food nearby. It takes about 3-5 minutes walk to the Luodong night market. It you intend to go to hot springs you have to take a train to Jiaoxi station, there are many hotel springs hotels but there are also public hot springs (have to have your own swim cap and towel as they are not provided free of charge). Train tickets cost 50NT one way.

Not so friendly reception, but comfortable room”
I picked this hotel due to its proximity to the Luodong Night Market. Took a while to orientate myself from train station to the hotel and then to the night market. Took me 5 minutes to the night market. Reception was a lady who was not so warm towards all guests. But she did her job well and I got my room before the official check-in time. There is no proper dining area (for breakfast), you could see the tables laid around reception. I did not wake up in time for breakfast, but I could see there are some local food offered. The tables were useful for me when I packed food from the night market but I didn't want to eat them in my room. Room was comfortable and air-conditioning can be adjusted. Room looks a little aged but amenities are still working well. Kettle, teacups, tea/coffee are provided, along with a free pack of local candies per day. Hair dryer, toothbrushes, combs, shower gels and shampoos were also provided. Water from the shower was strong enough and able to switch hot/cold. It could be a culture shock for me (during check-in) to see unoccupied/empty rooms having their doors opened. Owing to its location, I will return to stay there when I come to Luodong next time.

Good Location”
The location is very convenient, it's very near to the train station and luodong night market. After coming out from the station, walk straight along the shop houses, you will pass a 7-eleven, continue walking, on your right, you can see a very big Watson, turn to your left and walk along this street and you will see the hotel on your right after two minutes. The night market is on your right after you come out from the hotel, and walk for three minutes. Breadfast is provided and the variety is ok, with traditional taiwanese style (porridge and some vege), and toast bread.

Both of us enjoyed our stay at sun sweet.Hotel staff was patient when introducing us to the various places of interest in the town. We loved the room as it was spacious , clean and beautiful. Hotel could improved on the breakfast served though as there was minimal choices. Keep up the good service!Will definitely recomment this place to people if they are visiting Yilan.

Worth to stay!!”
Look exactly as what has been shown on the website. Loved the huge bathtub that come with the family suites which my kids enjoyed soaking and "swimming" in. Inside of the suites has a very modern and clean look. The Luodong night market is just around the corner. Very convenient. Definitely will be going back to stay at this hotel next time.

Nice Stay”
Hotel was a good 10 to 15 min walk from railway station, but it was only a 3 min walk to Luodong night market. Staff was friendly and there are ample umbrellas (it was raining when we were there) and free bicycles available for loan.

The stay at the Sun Sweet Hotel was pleasant and comfortable. Room was spacious for the entire family. Highly recommended for convenience of location as it was near the night market. Dining area for breakfast was small and pre-booking required - Not very convenient.

This hotel has one of the best locations to the luodong night market. It is comfortable and in a quite street. Didn't try the food though as left too early for breakfast.

The room was quite old but still acceptable and clean. Can be quite noisy especially if you are staying lower floor as it's near to road junction. The location of the hotel is good. Near to luodong station and the night market. Recommended for short stay.

Great location”
The hotel had all the amenities and was a short walk away from the night market and 7-eleven. Very convenient to go to the market every night. The toilets were very big and amenities were provided as well. The only thing was that the breakfast area was very small and we had to call before going down to Ensure that there was enough space for our group. And there were no blinds in the lobby so the sun was hot while we were eating breakfast. If you are staying here, you could opt to bring the food up to your room to eat instead as some other travellers did.
