"Good location on the beach but away from central Lovina."

Situated directly on Lovina Beach on Bali's northern coast, this resort offers a relaxing holiday of sea and sun as well as cultural and spiritual discovery. The area boasts numerous temples such as Beji Temple, Ponjok Batu Temple and Pulaki Temple. Singaraja is only a fifteen-minute drive away, and guests might wish to go snorkelling at the beach, trekking in the area's lush tropical forests or cycling through the rolling green hills and verdant rice patties. The resort's spacious, air-conditioned rooms and villas all come with a balcony or terrace with garden or pool views. The 24-hour restaurant and bar serves rich Indonesian specialties as well as Chinese and European cuisines, while the onsite spa offers Balinese massages, Lulur baths, and aromatherapy treatments. This resort's spectacular seaside location, comfortable rooms and great services make it the perfect choice for a holiday in Bali.

Gem on the beach.”
Stayed here 10 years ago and were worried about the upkeep of the hotel after reading reviews. Glad to report all great. Booked a great price with Agoda and were helped to add an extra 10% off by Agoda bookings staff. Upgraded on arival to garden view from superior. Big room, big bed, big bathroom, verandah. Excellent swimming pool, lounge areas, beachside bar open 24 hours. We took advantage of this when some friends contacted us late and we enjoyed drinks and food by the beach. Breakfast fresh. Staff friendly and helpful. This is not a 5 star resort and it is not perfect but it is great value in a great location. I am surprised it doesn't attract more guests ... Thanks, we will be back.
Beautiful and Awesome place.DON'T TAKE SUNARI TAXI”
It was a wounderful day staying at Sunari, Lovina. Nice scenery with lovely garden, swimming pool beside the beach where you can get a trip to see Dolphine. Awesome! However, Lovina is quite an isolated place compare to Ubud or Kutu where you can easily get a Taxi at a cheaper price. So remember to make the taxi who send you to Lovina will send you back. This is what i experience, i get the Taxi from Sunari Resort to go to Kutu. And they insist the driver is their friend, i din't get to know the driver is sunari staff who is doing part time Taxi driver. With his bad attitude and taxi service it spoilt our holiday mood in Bali. He even drive dangerously for answering his call of nature. huh a lesson learnt, don't get their Taxi!!!
Dolphin wtaching was outstanding”
Despite this being an older hotel the gardens and location are really worth the trip from south Bali. The hotel sits right on the beach which makes it the perfect place to start the early morning dolphin boat trip. There are beach sellers there of course, but without the pestering of their southern Bali compatriates. Life is slower in North Bali. That is one of its great attributes. Although it was a short trip I'd go back. Rooms were big but the open adjoining bathrooms were a bit disturbing. Great staff here. Well done to them all. If you get a boat to see the doplhins please find Nyoman, he was the #1 skipper.
Great location ”
When I live this hotel, it gave a peaceful and grateful holiday. It can provide a beautiful sunset and sunrise viewpoint. it was a valuable area. Although this hotel is small but can gave a excellent services to me. It hotel not much loudly person here.
lovely hotel , great location ”
Hotel location is good, not so noisy . The room is big, clean and nice. very worth of money. American breakfast, lot of vegetable, fruit and also supply porridge good. Near the beach. Hotel swimming pool is very beautiful. My family like it very much.
Suprisingly a nice & decent hotel at Lovina...”
initially, i have a low expectation on this hotel despite a good review at agoda but what a nice surprise that we're upgraded to deluxe room (free of charge). the room is huge with a huge outdoor bathroom. the furniture are rather old & outdated but all well maintained and very very clean including the outdoor bathroom. tv is rather tiny if compared with the 21st century standard. two thumbs up to the hotel crews and hotel manager for maintaining the high standard of room & facilities cleanliness... the hotel location is also very near to town center and to a nice cheap seafood restaurant by the sea - "ikan bakar tanjung alam" (7 mins to be exact by car as informed by the hotel manager)... breakfast was rather average - not much selection... we stayed there only for 1 night but it's definitely worth the money...
Peaceful garden resort near dolphins”
Rooms (at least standard villa) are spacious with good space for extra bed(s). Decoration is simple and toilet/bath and wash basin are in separate rooms. Room lighting is a bit too dim and our in-room safe didn't work. Free wifi was fast enough. Resort is 15-20 mins walk from Kalibukbuk restaurant street, you can walk either along main street or along beach. Sunari's pool restaurant was ok (nice freakfast), but the wines are grossly overpriced. Pool is much bigger that you'd expect from pictures. Very friendly staff!
on arrival we found our room not to the level of our expectations due to travelling with 2 adults and our 16 year old daughter. Her bed provided was a matress on the floor but very quickly the matter was resolved to being provided with a base to her bed. The housekeeping staff were very very obliging helping us recify this small problem all with a smile on their faces. A big thankyou to our staff in the housekeeping department. We loved the layout of the villa with it's outdoor bathroom and private plunge pool which we only used after evening activities. The day bed was great for early morning watching the activities of the fisherman on the beach. Also we had villa 709 which is the closest to the pool and beach. We will definately ask for this one on our next visit. The main swimming pool is very beautiful and the surrounds were very nice. The location is around a 15 minute stroll to the centre of Lovina where the dolphin statue is and some very nice restaurants and boutique shops. The restaurant at the resort was very nice serving a reserved selection at breakfast which was quite adequate. They make a very nice pizza which suited our daughter and the balinese cuisine and western food was all good.
Paradise on Earth”
Best swimming pool ever, the resort was empty and all staff were so nice with us. The breakfast is very good, toast, pancake, sausage, croissant, fresh juice, tea, coffee, eggs. The resort is a bit old but bed ares very comfortable, rooms are clean and in the Bathroom you have a bath tub and a shower to use! Definetely a remarquable place to enjoy and relax!
Teenage kids liked the pool. They didn't eat much at breakfast. Rooms need a bit of attention. Good location on the beach but away from central Lovina. Have stayed many times and will return. Low season rate very good under rp400k. The 24 hr beach bar was not operating this time.
Old Hotel and Dusty Room”
The hotel is very old, the room are dusty and a bit dirty. I found a cockroach in the toilet. The staff not responsive. There is a blood in my blanket and when i ask them to change the blanket, they said the blanket out of stock. The only good thing about this hotel is the good seaside location. Very disappointing :(
Nice hotel with a great pool and good location”
We was a family group 6 adults and 3 small children stayed in Sunari hotel for 5 nights. We had a pleasant stay in bungalows, near the beach and restaurant. The Room was a little old but OK- The room with own swimming pool was smaller and a little older but the garden was fine. The Children loved the pool. The sunset was fantastic. Location 1,4 km to central Lovina was a easy walking distance along the beach or road. Supermarket 0,6 km. The dolfin watch outside the hotel was fantastic. Hotel prices for sightseeing was to high - but easy to book outside. Taxi was a little difficult to get - but the hotel driver was easy to book - but wery expencive. Hotel Resturant was a good choise if we did not want to walk. Hotel was Very quite - exelent for relaxing. Massage was good
very quiet. comfortable. special bath room. ”
so nice resort for holiday in Lovina. breakfast very good that it's beside the beach and swimming pool. it's easy go to the beach and go to see the dolphin.the lobby and garden for welcome is so surprise to us from Kuta.
the stay was excellent the only thing that upset me was we requested a down stairs room as I have MS and find it hard to go up and down stairs. On arrival we were given an upstairs room. We asked if possible to change rooms and get a room down stairs but the girl at reception seemed to be annoyed at our request and did not understand that it was difficult for me, so we let it go. We later found out that there were only 18 rooms used at the time of check in the hotel was empty. I struggled up and down the stairs but other than that the stay was excellent.
Third time I have stayed at sunari , once again I loved our stay . The room we had this time was a standard room, but was spacious with an out door bathroom , last time we stayed in a pool villa , well worth the extra money if u can afford it. Was upgraded another ti.e to the presidential suit omg amazing. Close to shops and resturants. Although u realy do t have to move from the hotel if u dont want to
Tired and dirty”
This place is not well maintained. It feels like nothing has been done to maintain it since it was built. It wouldn't take much to tidy up. From leaking taps to moldy bathrooms. This place isn't a good lovina hotel. The place next door is the same age and has been maintained and is beautiful. The restaurant is appalling it is filthy with grease everywhere. This is an instant food poison location. The staff have no idea about food hygiene. We witnessed a staff member using a knife to scrape food off the table then she put the knife back for setting. The egg station is swimming in days old raw egg. Do not stay here.
quite an ok hotel for a short stay”
Rooms are quite big, but bungalows are better, not noisy as the one in the mainbuilding (depens on your neighbours). Buffet breakfast only served if high occupancy, ohterwise a la carte; quite complete food. Pool is nice and hotel on the beach. Some maintenance job could be done but over all, it was ok for a short stay and the money.
This was our 3rd stay at Sunari Villas...we had a pleasant relaxing time. Easy access to massages either on beach or in the privacy of the resort, we always enjoy the breakfasts and the the great value you get for your money. The resort had obviously been well maintained over the years and its gargens are gorgeous. I enjoyed my 3rd stay as much as my first.
Great location, beautifull and clean room!”
This was a great hotel! Staff was so friendly, manager leant us his privat scooter when the hotel scooters were All rented out. Room was big, clean and very luxerious for that amount of money! We got room 630 which was on a corner with a view of beach and pool and was bigger then the other ones. Breakfast was good with enough choices. Pool was next to the beach. Good wifi connection in the room. Only 5 minutes by scooter (only 30.000 rp a day at the hotel), or 15 minute walk to the centre. Would recommend this hotel to anyone!
Beautifull, very clean, amazing location!”
We had a great stay! The room was very clean, nice fluffy towels, great bed, spacious. We got room 630 which was in a corner and because of that bigger then the bungalows and with a view of the pool and beach. Pool was big and nice! The beach right next to it, where you could see beautifull sunsets! Take a dolphin spotting trip but go at 8 am then there are fewer boats. You can rent a scooter in the hotel (only 30.000 rp) and take a 5 min ride to the centre or a 15 minute walk. The manager lent us his privat scooter when the rest were rented out allready! Or walkalong the beach to starlight restaurant with live music. Get a massage at Vidya Loka Spa, this was the best one we ever had (and we did a lot of them). , was so clean and you felt they massaged with feeling and not just did their routine. It's a teaching institute. For this price, this was an amazing hotel. Would recommend it without a doubt!
