Sundi Ocean Bungalow is a getaway from the busy Bali Island. It is located 10-15 mins away from the ferry pier. I would definitely recommend travelers to arrange luggage transportation before arrival. The main transport of the island is only by motorcycle. The road is quite challenging to get there. But the hotel is amazing, the staff - Jaki, he is a very receptionist. He is very professional and able to answer all the question regarding to the island. Komang is the housekeeper and he did a good job cleaning as well. I would definitely recommend the hotel.

Not what I expected, but still nice”
I thought I had gotten a bungalow room but it turned out to be a room off of the pool with no ocean view, but it turned out to be perfect for one night, I had an evening swim, and was able to check out at 5am in the morning. Overall a cute boutique experience.

2 nights in Penida”
We went here for our wedding anniversary. The staffs very helpful. On the 2nd day we upgraded our room to a hut bungalow & better view for only 150k rupiah. The aircond not so cold. But for me its ok. Recommended!

Our room was really dirty, there was no roof over our shower and it had dead cockroaches under the bed. We let the staff know, but they didnt care. Kind off bad service, but their english was not great so that could be a reason. Ended up paying extra to upgrade to a bungalow. Was a bit better, but still little dirty and had a giant gecko in the room. The pool view was amazing tho.

Unsatisfactory experience”
- Location: about 15 minutes by motorbike from the harbour. This hotel is located on a hill, so the access road is very small avf very difficult to go. You have to return to the hotel early because there are no street lights, it is very danherous to go. If you like a place that away from the center, then maybe this will be an option. But I don’t like it. - The sink is not draining well, the room has a bit smell, the room has mostuitoes. Spoons & cups in the room are dirty, not washed. - DON’T rent a motorbike at the hotel. It’s old with broken light. You should rent a motorbike near the harbour. - Employee: the male staff at the hotel is very bad (his name is Kadek Parwa). He promised to take me to the harbour early morning so I could go back to Sanur Harbour (I will pay for him). But in the late of day, he told me that it was too early so he couldn’t come to pick me up. I begged him, because the hotel is very far from the harbour and I booked the ticket for an early departure. And how can I find another motorbike taxi in the night??? Then, I had to increase the money to pay for him, and he immediately agreed. Turns out, he purposely made it difficult for me just because of money. Very disappointed in his attitude

Not that great of a deal ”
Tried to say breakfast was not included when showed on booking, no hot water, roads are very hard to drive on scooter, lots of power outages, very outdated, shower does not feel clean. Garden is well kept and pool is nice but other than that I would recommend going elsewhere. We left one day early because it was so isolated and uncomfortable. You can see these people are trying to do their best but not very organised.

Don't stay, is pretty bad”
This is the first time I write a so bad review about a place. Normally I tell them personally instead of writting it, but this time was too much for me. We booked the same day of arrival in the morning. When we arrived in the afternoon, they did not have any notice of our booking. The guys in the reception didn't speak any english. I showed them my booking confirmation email and the receipt of payment on Paypal. Even with this proof they didn't give us the room. They made us wait two hours to give us the room, but before I had to talk to someone from an agency two times, and then they claim a deposit in cash for the price of one night to give us the key. The room wood walls were full of dust, and the room in general was dirty. The next morning we wake up at 8:30 am with construction noise. We realized they had emptied the swimming pool and were reconstructing it. They didn't notify the clients they were going to empty the pool and rebuild it while we were paying 30€ per night. You can get many other better places a lot cheaper in this island. That night we asked if they rented motorbikes and booked two for the next day. When we went to take them in the morning, the guy said there was only one. Luckily he got other one, but the fact is that he hadn't reserve them for us. The motorbikes were super old and in bad condition. The helmets were smelly and without strap to tie them. My motorbike got the light of high temperature on after one hour riding. I felt very insecure. The acces road to this place is awful, very long path of stones and ground. There is only two restaurants you can walk to. If you need to go to the beach, taxi is very expensive according to the distance, they rip you off. I really do not reccomend this place. It was not good to stay there.

Perfect place to stay! ”
Sundi ocean bungalows are a perfect choice for your stay at Nusa Penida. The view is magical, the houses perfectly clean, relaxing and quiet. We loved staying here with our two small kids. Especially Made is the perfect host! Super friendly and really helped us a lot. We were stranded at the ferry one day when we wanted to leave and he was already looking for us to pick us up again. It’s a little secluded but you can rent a scooter (not reccommended if you travel with kids) or they can arrange a car/driver for you to take you anywhere you want. I really recommend this place!

This place was perfect for our stay. It was clean with a nice view and very friendly staff!”
My boyfriend actually proposed to me during our trip here and the staff at Sundi helped him out! He planned the proposal at the bottom of Kelingking beach and was having a very hard time looking for a photographer to take professional shots of the proposal but the manager, Angela, was able to find one for him who was willing to hike down the dangerous path down and the staff along with Angela also hiked down to make sure everything went as planned. It was perfect! thanks to the help of the staff and Angela! She also helped with planning a private moonlight dinner with a live guitarist to play for us during our dinner. it was absolutely amazing. I would recommend this place to anyone! If you have any issues or need help planning for anything including a private driver, the staff here will be able to help!

Cute bungalows, beautiful view and great staff ”
It’s small and cute, love the bungalow style with great view of the ocean. Location was a bit out of the way but the staff went out of their way to help with transport and anything we needed. Speak to Puto, he took us on tours, organized boat trips, transport down to coconut oil all at really great prices. Breakfast definitely needs to be worked on and the local residents below were a little noisy at times.

Beaut Location but Relatively Expensive”
Lovely location with view over the water/harbour, and Bali and Mt Agung in distance. And bungalows and pool nice. But staff average. Hard to find at times. Had to chase up water replacement in room after room service, which for the price per night should be a given. WiFi hit and miss. Breakfast very very basic; again would expect more for the price. You are paying a premium for the view, and if that is not important to you, look elsewhere. Nice enough but definitely better value for the $ elsewhere.

FIRST OF ALL!! They will arrange a free pick up from the port for you so please please grab this opportunity because I did not know this and the people at the port will always always steal from the tourists. They charged me 250,000 for a 15 minute drive and I just realized that I was charged 7 times more the regular. We had a black out in the middle of the night and I found out that this was normal for indonesia for there is always a blackout circulation around the country to save energy. But this place does not have a generator so everything is dark. The staff were polite they were nice, we took a photo with them. But if they could improve their hygiene :) You can rent a scooter for 80,000 per day. Which is very good and cheap. They will also offer to send you back to the port and they charged us 50,000 to send us back which is so great than the 250,000 :( Indonesia has a lot of money stealing cab drivers and tourist guides :( They will lie almost everything about money and prices.

The overall feeling of the place was good. Nice and clean room, although the toilet did not have a roof. Great view and nice breakfast. The hotel is located a bit far from the main street and the road there was quite bad. However, the staff was amazing and helped us with everything!

Very far from town”
This place was simple and just ok. The staff were very nice and friendly. The location is VERY far from the main road-We got a scooter from the hotel and used that. Breakfast was very simple. View is very pretty . The rooms do not have a safe, phone, or fridge. So we didn't like not having a fridge for our water. Very basic room/hotel
