Sungreen Resort & Spa

Location is very quiet place. And room is almost clean. But we couldn't use shower because of cold water only supplied. We asked receptionist to repair. After 5 hours, we still couldn't use even though receptionist told us already repaired. So we had to take cold shower. So we ask manager to give us some complimentary that's why we did get full survice from them. Then they give us very very small discount and manager blamed our guide if guide give us some knowledge to get complimentary. Because we are Japanese. Manager think Japanese don't say like that. So manager give us very very small discount that's why we are japanese and we booked on line that I mean charge was not expensive. It caused the delay in our schedule.

The room is large, with a big balcony facing the greeneries. The bed is comfortable. I don’t know much about the location because we have booked a car to travel around. The biggest problem we encountered was that there was no warm water for shower. You can image my irritation when showered in cold water after a whole day of trip. I contacted the front counter three times. The first time they told me they are checking the water tank and ensure me the hot water is coming in half an hour. The second time was two hours later, I called again and they told me they will send staff to my room to check, when it was already midnight. Obviously, they cannot fix it and told me it is due to the water tank damage, they cannot fix it, blah blah, and ensured me I will have hot water the next morning. then, it comes to the morning next day and I called in the third time to check but still, no hot water! Maybe it wasn’t our lucky day, but I want to suggest the hotel management to train the employees to respond to guests in an honest way! And to manage the expectation properly.

It’s a very calm and quit place to get rid of the busy life and rest the soul. It’s not hard to find the place and near to the Habarana town. There was a warm welcome arranged by the hotel, the staff was very friendly and they served us a never tasted welcome drink. It was so delicious. The rooms were there as we expected and very well cleaned. All the facilities were there and tend to all needs. The food is really delicious and it was fantastic. Pool is really good and very beautiful. It’s good for a honeymoon too. If anyone interested in exploring new places it’s a best place to visit. Personally recommending it.

Sungreen is a new resort in Habarana. From there you can visit Minneriya national park, Sigiriya, Dambulla, polonnaruwu, and many more places. When we arrived we got a traditional Sri Lankan welcoming, which was a great surprise. The manager and his staff are very serviceminded and super kind! Really great people! The rooms are clean, big and nicely decorated. Swimmingpool is big and the food is delicious!

Es un hotel muy nuevo y bien ubicado en el parque. Cuenta con una preciosa y enorme piscina convenientemente cuidada. El personal es muy amable y atento y reciben con mucho esmero a sus huéspedes, desde luego sorprenden. Las habitaciones son muy amplias y el baño es también grande, pero necesitan mejorar en la limpieza, ya en el suelo del baño había chorretones que eran muy evidentes. El desayuno es muy completo servido por el personal con mucha dedicación. Da la sensación de que es un hotel que se está iniciando en su singladura y por ello le faltan algunos remates, por ejemplo tanto al comedor como a la recepción le falta personalidad pero este hotel promete.
