Shouldn’t repack the used slippers!!!”
Terrible hygiene for a 5-star hotel - found hair and dirts in both sets of packed slippers provided in the room. Pretty sure that they were used by previous customers and the hotel repacked them. The other parts in room were ok especially the clear bedding (they changed it everyday), just I doubt if the toothbrushes are also reused!

Recommendable Hotel for its Great Design & View, Welcoming Service and Good price”
Sunrise on the Bund Hotel is a nicely designed, cultural and welcoming hotel to stay with good service, good view, comfortable and nicely designed room and nice breakfast for good price. I was traveling for attending a convention nearby the hotel so the location was really convenient.

The hotel is considered 5 star but that's the only thing going for it. It's located in the Bund but it's far from everything and will require a person to walk very far to get to the main area of the Bund. The staff doesn't speak English well. The bed is very hard. I wouldn't recommend this hotel.

My husband and I have always called each other Bund as a pet-name, so when I came to book his 60th birthday trip to Shanghai this year, I was very pleased to find this lovely-named Hotel :o) After booking the room, I arranged for their car pick-up at the Airport and tried to explain about the Bund name being special, but felt that I had only confused them! However, on arriving at Pudong Intn'l, the Hotel driver was holding up a sign saying "Mr & Mrs Bund" - perfect!! The only downside of our stay was that the Hotel was, in fact, on the "North Bund", which meant a traffic-jammed taxi-ride to/from the Bund/city centre each day. Apart from that, our stay was great :o)

A nice hotel close to city centre”

We booked 3 nights in the hotel. The hotel is located in the north side of the Bund. It takes 5 minutes ride by bus (cost 2 yuan) to the Bund and 15 minutes ride by taxi (25 yuan) to Shanghai train station. The check-in is smooth. You have to pay a deposit of 500 yuan per night we paid 1500 yuan deposit for 3 nights' stay. The room is a bit small with only a Queen size bed. However, the bed is comfortable and the room was quiet at night. We had a good sleep every night. The hotel has a gym room with a swimming pool. You need a swim cap to swim in their pool. They have the caps for sale for 20 yuan if you forgot to bring it. There were not many guest using the facilities and we were the only ones swimming in the pool for 2 days. We also used the sauna room and the jacuzzi. They also have a spa room and a salon so you won't get bored if you just stay in the hotel. Overall, the hotel is good value for money because it is just 5 minutes away from the Bund. But the price they charge is just half of those with the same class located in the prime location.
