Lovely place to stay”
I booked in here for my second night in Mui Ne. Just in the main road near bus stops. Had a double room, which as simple, clean, good air con, ensuite and a fridge. Had a great pool which overlooks the sea. About 4.30 in the morning I heard and felt a weird noice and vibration in my room, surprised to find out it was all the fishing boats heading back to market, was kinda nice to see. They do have a restaurant on site too. Only negatives, the staff don’t speak a lot of English, but that was ok. However they can be a little abrupt if you try to ask them questions. No in-room safe either. Apart from that, I would defiantly stay here again, would be a great place to chill out for a few days, away from the hustle and bustle of HCMC or Nha Trang.
Nice, cosy hotel. Everything is fine, just beach is narrow strip of sand and waves are high. Two concreate dams helps a bit. Breakfast is carte style, room wasn't big, pool is fine, enough sunbeds, seaside often windy. Good seafood restaurant nearby.
Really good value !”
It was very good hotel in a perfect location! I loved the swimming pool and the beach.(best part of the beach in the area) i got the standard room and it was a bit small but had a nice view of sea and the garden. Also the resort is located the center, very nice ! I think it was the best deal for the quality of yhe resort ;) the breakfast was very basic but enough for me :-) i would stay again !
Cheapest Resort in the Area, Great Value”
This is the best value resort in the immediate area. The beach is 25 steps away from the pool area. Be aware that after this resort the beach begins to disappear. Do your research on where to stay in Mui Ne, each location on the strip varies immensely. We stayed in one of the cheaper rooms at the resort. The more expensive "bungalows" all face the swimming pool and lack a bit of privacy but are a bit larger sized. We were located on the second floor above the reception area and really had no view or balcony area but it was fine as all you had to do was walk down to the pool area which had nice views. The staff at the hotel keep the grounds immaculate and the rooms are extremely clean for Asia. The rooms are nicely appointed but on the small side, very adequate for two people, the bed is USA standard (quality and comfortable) and has the standard aircon, wifi, cable tv ect. The pool area is a big selling point and the pool is clean with plenty of soft loungers and a choice of being in the shade or in the sun. The beach at Mui Ne is not the best I have ever seen but not the worst either. The hotel has a travel agent steps from the reception area that rents motos for 5USD equivalent per day. Rent a motot and go see the sand dunes, don't pay for a silly overpriced tour that you can do on your own with a moto. If you are looking for a resort to stay at in Mui Ne in a nice area this is the best value! If you stay at a place without beach access or a swimming pool you might be disappointed.
Good location for sea food restaurants!”
The hotel location is near to Lam Thong sea food restaurant which you must try. The hotel is clean and excellent friendly service staffs. The price is very reasonable and room is comfort and clean. It is not a big hotel but it make you like you stay at your home. I love Vietnam atmosphere here.
Clean, nice and located by the beach”
One of the wall sides is glass only, and it's where the entrance door is, makes the room looks very modern. The room is clean, nice. The TV, hot water, AC and refrigerator worked well. The hotel has a swimming pool and located by the beach. The hotel didnt rent a motorbike, but their staff do. The Wifi signal is not the best at the room, you need to go to the restaurant or swimming pool. The hotel staff would give you a map of the area. But dont trust the map at all, I easily got lost when I followed that map. Signboards to some interesting places are not available. So I recommend you to print your own map from google or bring your guidebook when you go there.
Nice rooms, great location”
moved here after 1 night at hiep hoa "resort". very friendly staff and nice rooms. was worth paying a little extra just to have the pool to relax by. right on the beach, but the sea comes right up to the edge of the hotel. no safe in room, but very secure. no one can seem to walk in any guesthouse/ hotel on mui ne without being questioned! had free tea and coffee, biscuits and fruit everyday between 2 & 4pm which was a nice touch. good location, right in the midde of all the bars and restaurants, but still very quiet. also, plenty of convenience stores nearby - the one nxt door even does free tea and coffee!! would recommend this place if you plan on heading to mui ne.
Great Location. ”
Location is very good. You can enjoy a very peaceful ambience with beautiful green landscapes. Great pool too. Rooms with an air condition are clean and if you have any wishes friendly stuff is always there to help you. For the budget resort they definitely deserve great review.
budget hotel on beachfront”
we arrived a day late after arriving in saigon a day late due to flight cancellation from australia and the manager at sunrise, who we contacted from saigon, was very good to change our booking accordingly. the bungalows open onto the pool area which overlooks the beach - great location. room was clean and adequate, breakfast was basic. sandy beach front - be careful in mui ne as some beach areas have eroded and are covered with bags of cement and metal spikes. recommend this hotel.
Hotel is in a good area of town, has a great pool , and small private beach, breakfast is very good choices,
Nice resort ”
We arrived early and had to wait to be seen at the front desk. The staff here are very accommodating and constantly cleaning. The pool is great as is the banana pancakes. The location is OK, there is no beach on the property... It's a bit of a walk down the strip to access the beach. Also he resort was full of Russian families with kids. The kids ran around and were noisy and it seems like they have been there for some time. The shower in the room is also to be desired as it is basically just a shower wand on the wall. Overall it's a clean resort and staff are attentive. If you are ok with kids and no beach, and enjoy the pool then no big deal.
Great ocean front stay”
Our stay was very pleasant at the Sunrise Resort. We enjoyed the pool and easy access to the beach, especially during low tide. The room was very clean and comfortable. The staff was helpful when asked, but not very proactive in providing information. Nice touch in providing iced tea whenever we were waiting in the dining room area on street side of resort.
The stay in Sunrise is always very nice. the hotel is located by the sea, with a nice beach and a swimming pool next to the bungalows. It's not very big but you don't need more to relax and enjoy. The staff are very helpful and efficient, and they make you feel like home. The only flaw is the restaurant, it's not worth eating there. Also, it would be good if they allowed credit card payment.
Our 4 night stay at Sunrise Resort”
Our stay was very pleasant, we stayed from Wednesday to Sunday in August. My fiancé is Vietnamese so I tried to joke with staff whenever possible her helping to translate, they were attentive to us during breakfast & generally helpful when asked. During the week it was quiet, almost empty, but the weekend was as other reviewers mentioned - a small your bus had arrived with families. They were up & partying at the pool at 6am. Posted quiet hours are 10pm-8am.. I really really did not want to hear screaming children & a group of 15 people at 6am on a Saturday or Sunday morning but this is what is meant by "family friendly". Other than that & lack of hot water device to make our own coffee I have no complaints . The ocean is loud, it is extremely breezy at times in the late afternoon. I found this relaxing but others may not. The bungalow rooms are set up like a horseshoe shaped court yard, which is nice. the most expensive end rooms are not worth the double cost IMHO, bc they do not have a "private" patio ( short, open picket fence provides no privacy) , and they really only offer a better view .. but that's up to your wallet , Our bungalow room was 36$ w breakfast / night compared to the 66$ we were given as that room's rate... There was a multiple floor dwelling at the back far end of the courtyard which I'm guessing were the 'standard' rooms. I was very happy with our courtyard bungalow , we had room #8. One thing to mention is the addresses here are crazy, it's not a different number per residence , it's more like a block of buildings may have the same number , keep this in mind when preparing to walk , but it is true that this is in a close to central location, everything is easily available , and since the kitchen's offered breakfast is fairly minimal you will need to go out for hearty big buffets or your other meals. The light breakfast fare they offered is adequate for a start-up meal though. the resort was well kept , We would love to go back.
Really good stay, fantastic for the price.”
Really good stay, we were backpacking and the backpackers was full. It wasn't much more to get a private room here. We had a nice pool, clean and green area and unlike the backpackers we had a beach infront of our resort. Would definitely recommend to spend the extra $3 ad stay here.
Sun,sand and relaxation”
The hotel was lovely. We particularly liked the pool asit wasn't heavily chlorinated. The only problem was that there wasn't any shade - no beach umbrellas. This resulted in my friends having to pay for an upgrade just so they could get a sun lounger with an umbrella. Great value for money otherwise and very friendly staff. I would stay here again .....if they improved the shade.
Nice, clean and comfortable. Value for money”
Stay was pleasant. It was a nice experice rooms were well-furnished , clean and comfortable. Value for money. And location was good. It was near to the rows of eateries, shops and your agencies which was good especially for people traveling in and out of Mui me by bus. Staff were also friendly and helpful. It was a good experience overall.
Relax, near to beach and close to nice restaurant ”
Very enjoy the environment. Relax, room near to the garden and pool side. easy access to the beach. Nice hotel view and satisfy with the staff. Very friendly and recommend us to a very nice restaurant, Lam Tong. good and cheap food, seaside view.
the resort is the reason we will be back to Mui Ne”
We were very lucky that the resort located just in front of Hanh Cafe openbus office. The guests who stayed there were very quite and just appreciated the beach, pool and sun. And nearly all the rooms here can see the sea view and garden view. It's a place we will come again.
Great beach side hotel with shade and a good pool”
We were looking forward to our stay at Sunrise Resort and we were not disappointed. We booked to travel from Saigon over the Reunification holidays. 30th April to the 2nd May roughly. Not recommended as the roads were very busy as were tourist sites such as the Reunification Palace in Saigon according to friends who went there, were exceptionally busy as well. Because of the holidays the trip which took 5 hours the last time we came here – took 6.5 hours this time. Bus travel in Vietnam dictates that you need to manage fluid intake well as there is only one real stop for food etc. Elsewhere you need to run into the bushes. Australians will be okay if they can find a gumtree like leaf – the rest should take tissues.. The resort has a good location and many of the buses will stop right at the door as their last stop in Mui Ne. We were fortunate to get a ground floor room in the main block which had a view out the door directly over the pool and onto the ocean. Pool side rooms overlooking the pool are fine as well but everyone is facing each other there. The beds were big and comfortable innerspring and there was plenty of hot water. The aircon worked well and we accept that English is not the spoken language as we are more in country unlike the understanding in Saigon for instance. The girls were friendly but shy and they try hard to please so patience and understanding is needed. We find that an interesting challenge and enjoyed interacting with the staff throughout the resort. As is usual at these resorts security was there and seen to be active preventing walk through to the beach and so on. If others need to go to the beach they should use a beach access business like kite sailing school etc... The manager and the main desk were always helpful and I couldn’t be happier with their support in assisting in buying local coffee and coffee makers to take home… they were great. As others have said breakfast is modest but there is more you can order and put a
