Excellent service and wonderful location”

Good service, good food, nice location - a place to recommend!

we can recommend the sunset at aninuan to all travelers who like a genuine friendly service, good food and wonderful diving. the very big asset of this hotel is not only the great location next to a long and lonesome beach, but also the personalized service, the smiles and little attentions (like taking care of moving your sunshade next to your beach chair as the sun moves on the dive shop is very professionally staffed and the material is well taken care of. there is a nice swimming pool in the new part of the hotel which we did not use - we just very simply had no time. the sunset at aninuan is very definitely one of the nicest hotels in puerto galera - away from the big crowds but close enough to go places if you want to. we will definitely be back! thanks to the whole staff.

Can't wait till next trip there”

The sunset was breath taking, I was so relaxed there and the staff were fantastic.

We had the best stay at Aninuan Beach Resort that we didn't want to leave and were very disappointed we only went for a weekend. From the time you arrive to when you leave the staff make you feel welcomed and will go out of there way for you. We were only there for a weekend so didn't leave the resort but we had everything we need right there anyway. The snorkelling off the beach is ok, we saw lots of fish but I've seen better coral. They don't have snorkelling stuff for young children (age 3-7 years) so bring your own. But the have heaps of sand playing stuff so you don't need to bing your and they supply beach towels for you as we'll. There was also nothing better then sitting back having a cocktail or two watching the sunset. It is one of the most beautiful sunsets I've watched. We will come back to Aninuan Beach Resort another time for sure.

lovely”

1. location. Just in front of the beach 2. Room was immaculate. 3. Staff was very attentive.

Overall, excellent. Although most travelers to Puerto Galera stay at Sabang or White Beach, I recommend Aninuan as it provies a quiet and calm days which Sabang or White Beach are lackiing in. The room was excellent, facing the sea. It was amazing to find a moon in the sky behind a tree reflecting itself on the surface of the sea at midnight. The staff were very polite and attentive to me. Once I told them that the shower does not work well, they did not lose time in fixing the shower by three employees. Jackie, one of them, speaks English very fluently, was reliable person to talk with. One negative thing about this resort is that it is a bit isolated place: it takes 15 minutes by trichickle to Mourie Pier and 30 minutes to Sabang. Also the sea in front of the resort does not suitable for snorkelling or diving, so you need to go to Sabang or Mourie if you like those marine sports. But I am afraind to say that the stay at Sabang can not be recommended if you would like quiet atmosphere and that there is few accomodations in and around Mourie Pier. For this reason this hotel is one optimal choice, though you have to pay more.

Cosy and comfortable oasis for relaxing and fun”

Great service, facilities, catering and scenery

before booking we received from the management lots of information and photos; even a detailed description how to travel from manila and back. the trip by the way was very nice – a part with the bus and a part with the boat. the hotel driver fetched us from puerto galera. the rooms and other facilities were in very good shape and well maintained and cleaned. almost all rooms are beach front. our room was of the category deluxe. it has a good size and was equipped with s big bed, ceiling fan, aircon, closets etc. the bathroom is over average big and contains the closet. by the way, there is a higher category in the newest wing of the building. the resort offers free use of the swimming pool, sun beds, pool billiard, table tennis, table soccer and canoes. a gym and spa area was about to be finished. you can book on the spot massages, scuba diving lessons or rent diving or snorkelling equipment. the view to the front is the beautiful sea and to the back a mountain covered in clouds. the resort is built in a secluded way, so that the guests feel not disturbed by passersby. the hotel area offers different chairs, beds and hammocks for hanging out. in the area in front of the hotel, next to the beach bar (which is also the reception) there are also the tables to eat meals under the sky at the beach. the menu contains local as well as western food and beverages. the employees are very friendly and service oriented. most of the visitors we met were families with children or couples, some of the honeymooners. i found, children can play quite safe, also because the water in front of the hotel doesn’t get deep too rapidly. although the resort was well visited, we never experienced it as over crowded or noisy. several activities are possible like a hike to the near (1.5 hours hike one way) waterfall. the party place – white beach - is 5 minutes tricycle ride away. here you have all the bars and restaurants with music and shows on the beach.

One of the best Resort in Puerto Galera!”

Sunset Resort is one of the best resorts I’ve been in Puerto Galera! It is just beside White Beach and has a great beach front, the water is so clear, you can clearly see your feet under the water. It has an infinity pool altho kinda small but, its ok. The water in the pool is a bit warm so it’s nice. We stayed in the Family rooms that is good for 4 adults and it has a great view and its own veranda. The rooms are so cozy! One thing I can complain about the rooms, they don’t have bidet and no free lotion/toothbrush, toothpaste. The staff are all nice, polite and accommodating. Shoutout to Ms. Shirley, their Manager, who welcomes all the guests with a friendly smile. Kyla in the reception area, Marvin who brought our bags to our rooms and brings us things we need. And Joy from the restaurant. The only downside of this resort is the food is very expensive! Each meal (lunch, dinner) costs about 400php above plus SC and tax! They don’t have service water so you have to buy mineral water which costs around 61php for a small bottle! (They do have 1 free water small bottle per room occupant per day.) The most disappointing part is the free bfast which is Continental composed only of toast, 2 eggs, coffee and juice or fruits. We ordered addtl bacon and to our dismay, it was only 2 small strips which costs P120!😱 Overall tho, despite the pricey food, we really enjoyed our stay here and will definitely come back and still recommend it to my friends! If you want the exclusive, relaxing type of vacation, this is the place for you. My only suggestion is to bring with you some food or just go to White Beach and buy some then you can eat it in your room. They are not strict with bringing food just no cooking inside the rooms.

Great location, very quiet”

good service

Its an exhausting long trip to get to this resort , even just from Manila but its worth every minute when you arrive. The arrival at Batangas pier is quite an experience with so much confusion with porters & way too many helpers & scalpers trying to rip money off you, was glad to get away even though the ferry timetable is very unreliable getting to Puerto Galera. But once you arrive & you look around you wont regret coming, in fact, you wont want to leave. The resort is lovely, stayed in the new section on the 3rd floor, no lift, so be aware of steps but view looking over the sea & beautiful pools spectacular, nice deck with lounge to sit & ponder. Nice rooms, LCD tv ,very roomy, huge bed...comfortable. The bathroom acceptable, nothing special, the hot/cold taps hard to balance. They have a snooker table & reading room, lots of places to sit & dream near or around the pool or bar. Food selection is great, you can eat any choice all day, either on the sand with tables or in the restuarant, continental breakfast was complemtary but only juice, tea/coffee with toast. WIFI available only in the resturant. They have a reef off the resort which is really good & worth exploring either diving or snorkling. Nice beach walks up to White sand beach over a few rocks with cheap shops & bars. I loved this place & will definatly be back, felt very rested

Best resort in Puerto Galera”

Me and my family had an awesome stay at Sunset at Aninuan. The room was comfortable; the resort had its own private beach; the food servings were huge; the staff was the best; and, their plastic-free initiative was 💯! I’ll definitely stay there again on my next visit to Galera.

Great Spot to Relax”

Excellent Staff and Service, Peaceful and Quiet Location

Without a doubt the most comfortable resort setting I've been at in many years. A boutique sized accomodation with only 17 rooms, soon expanding to 33, don't expect every amenity of a huge destination resort. However, you may expect peace and quiet, excellent service, good food and a fair price. The staff not only has the Filipino warmth and welcoming attitude they are also well trained and professional in their service. The location is a quiet spot on a broad sandy beach with no close neighhbors. It is however, only a pleasant 15 minute ride into Puerto Galera.

Best Resort in or around White Beach”

New rooms, friendly staff and peaceful

from our observation, sunset at anninuan was without a doubt the best resort in or around white beach. we stayed in the junior suite with 2 children. the room was prepared & ready for us upon our arrival, after being greeted by name upon disembarking from the banca. facilities: superb beach-side pool (unfortunately, the spa & swim-up bar was not open during our stay), air-conditioned rooms, cable tv (lcd), restaurant, bar & free wi-fi. unfortunately, the wi-fi is only accessible in the common area but this added to the atmosphere by encouraging people to venture from their rooms. activities: billiards, table tennis, beach volley ball & kayaking were all available free of charge during our stay. other motorised activities & beach-side massages are also available for a fee & can be arranged by the resort. location: situated only 10 mins (walk) from white beach by road or if you're a little more adventurous, by beach & over rocky terrain. a tricycle will only cost p100 each way. the location is ideal if you don't want to be hassled by the numerous vendors found at white beach as they are not permitted to enter the resort unless invited. as the name suggests, the resort provides an excellent view of the sunset, although once the sun sets, you will be bombarded with the sound of fishing boat motors & generators which venture along the coast. staff: this is probably what sells this resort above all else. lexy, the owner of the resort, is more than happy to engage in light hearted conversations & can be found roaming the grounds. lez manages the bar & is always keen to make you laugh. the other staff are also always at your beckon call & it is not unusual that they'll just appear from nowhere to try & make your day more comfortable. the only negative from our stay was our shower. the water pressure was low & the shower head was only chest height. food was priced at the top end & was comparable to other outlets but saved the trip out of the resort.

Great undiscovered tropical getaway”

Staff, Beach, Dinning outside

Amazing place. The pictures are very representative of what you get. The staff is amazing, always there to put a mosquito coil under your chair, put a candle next to your chair and yet manage not to be intrusive about it. The staff alone is worth the stay. However the beach is amazing and the sunset lives up to the billing it is given. Night life is sparse but just down the road (or an easy walk along the beach) is white sand beach which is more typical beach town with bars and night life. But Sunset at Aninuan excels because it is not on white beach. There is a full service spa and the message was great. The pool is good and we were offered an intro to scuba course and dive on the nearby coral reef at a very reasonable price. Only downfall was our shower didn't work but we told the staff about it and I have every confidence it would have been fixed quickly had we had the time to wait before checkout.

Location, Service, Serice

The minute we set foot on the hotel property, we all felt a sigh of relief. We were so glad to be glad from the hustle and bustle of Metro Manila to a place of relaxed luxury and views, views, views. I can easily say that this is the best beach in Puerto Galera. It's quiet, clean and almost white. (White beaches, in my opinion, is overrated.) The rooms were clean and spacious, and the service was impeccable. There are no shortage of activities. We hiked up the waterfalls, saw the Mangyan Village, went snorkeling, kayaking. It was a perfect few days of family bonding! I just wished I stayed one extra day! We will definitely return!

Amazingly Stunning Hotel”

Secluded but close to the action

Staying at Aninuan beach was just perfect, it was far enough from white beach where you could relax and do nothing, yet close enough that you could walk to the action in a matter of minutes. The fact that the resort has limited rooms makes for an intimate setting where you can do pretty much what ever you like and not have to worry about disturbing anyone else.

Best hotel in Puerto Galera.... PERFECT!”

Beachfront hotel with beautiful infinity pool. The staff were very attentive.

This is definitely the best hotel in Puerto Galera, the rooms in the new wing are superb and the views over the infinity pool and ocean are amazing. I have two teenage children who are difficult to please but they loved this hotel. The staff were lovely, they could not do enough for us, always asking if we wanted anything, and just being genuinely very friendly. A big thank you to Lez who kept my children entertained with his bar games! I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to experience the best the Philippines has to offer, you won't be disappointed. Already looking at returning later on in the year.

Amazing ”

This hotel is just amazing. Stayed here for 3 nights in October and had the best time. The weather was prefect which made our stay even better. We lounged on the beach all day enjoying the views and very tasty drinks from the hotel bar. The beach was very quiet but the staff were always doing something. The staff at sunset are brilliant and cannot do enough for you. The room was spotless and cleaned daily. The rooms are all perfectly located with sea views, our room could not have been closer to the beach. The location of the hotel Was prefect as it’s quiet but tricycles are easy to get and it’s a short ride to white beach a little longer to get to Sabang. The hotel arranged transfers to and from Manila airport which was well worth the price and I would recommended this to anybody as it’s all made very easy for you.

Sunset at Aninuan is in a great location if you do not like being at party central all the time. But it is close enough to enjoy the party scene at the other shoreline simply by walking over the rocks, or by taking a trike. We found the beds to be comfortable, and the balcony lounge was a real bonus. The staff were very courteous and helpful too. Will definitely return for another relaxing getaway!
