My friend and I stayed at Bali Bliss Resort for two nights and just loved it: The breathtaking pool, the stunning views, the way the Resort Gardens were maintained and the very friendly and helpful staff. An overall excellent holiday experience at a very fair price.

We had a great stay!”
We love the place though it’s a bit far from the main ubud but the view is so amazing. With their infinity pool. It’s so quiet and relaxing. Staffs are great. They do cleaning everyday. And thanks to the manager, Ms. Erna for granting our request with the last minute notice. Until nexttime..

Overall good staff and lovely staff”
Sunset hill- Booked this for the pool and it didn't disappoint, great views (although please be careful on the edge of the pool, I had a little accident and you won't want to repeat it)! Staff were lovely and helpful throughout, especially when I needed emergency treatment they arranged me a lift to hospital very promptly. The rooms were perfect and spacious with comfy beds. Good location on the camp ridge so Ubud town is easily walkable, alternatively they can sort you scooter rental. Only slight complaints were wi-fi cut out every so often (no biggie) and breakfast could be cooked slightly better. Overall would definitely recommend this small and very private resort opposed to one of the bigger hotels which allow visitor entry to their pools.

Amazing View”
View is amazing from the hill; very near a trekking route. Staff service is fantastic. I had a very late check in and their response via email was very prompt. Couple of things to work on would be the WIFI - no connection at all from the room, wifi from the restaurant only worked for me when no one was around, but on and off. Room was comfortable except more dark on the toilet/ bathroom side. Shower clogged too but overall small issues. Overall I enjoyed my stay there.

An experience that refreshed your soul. Beautiful ”
location. pool. nature
This hotel is a beautiful place to stay in the midst of a tropical rainforest atop of a valley and the river Wos. The birds, insects and plant life here is prolific. The 15 minute walk along the the ridge to Ubud was a special part of this whole experience. The staff here are wonderful people who are well spoken and have lovely personality. The breakfast provided is very tasty, and they set the table for you and treat you with utmost care. You need to be organised for evening meals as the hotel as a very small basic menu. You can walk into UBud and catch a taxi home for four dollars. You can also have food delivered from a local restaurant and sit by the pool to eat. The salt water pool is wonderful. You can be in the water and lean out over the jungle.

The most beautiful hotel setting. ”
Location location location.
What a treasure. Magnificent. Sleeping on the edge of the tropical rainforest. You can hear the river flowing down below. A wonderful walk with brilliant views along the top of the valley into central Ubud. A very special place to stay. At night you will need to walk with a torch along the trail from Ubud if you choose to eat out. Or simply catch a taxi home for four dollars. The breakfasts served on the balcony overlooking the valley were fantastic. Great coffee, Wonderful staff who help with booking and transfers and all with a smile. If you love nature, views, jungle sounds and fresh air.....then you will love it. We saw beautiful tropical birds and butterflies. The pool is really incredible. It is saltwater and well maintained. Such a unique, beautiful place to swim. You can look over the edge of the pool and see the jungle and glimpses of the river below. Very hard to leave this wonderful place and its people.

True Bliss at Bali Bliss”
Great service, quiet location, perfect for a retreat
Bali Bliss is tucked away in a quiet part of Ubud. But far from being secluded, it's just a 20-min walk away to the town centre. And the walk isn't ordinary - it's a nice trek along the Campuhan Ridge. The only challenge is heading back at night. Taking a cab solves the problem. Cost is around 70,000-80,000 rupiah per trip. Bargain hard! Be prepared to have insects hanging around your villa though. They're friendly though. Wifi coverage and signal strength at Bali Bliss also isn't fantastic, but hey, that makes perfect sense if you need a retreat from those e-mails and social media. Bali Bliss serves up a decent breakfast, good enough to perk you up as you enjoy the morning jungle scenery. There's also a sweet infinity pool overlooking the jungle. The staff at Bali Bliss was fantastic. They made us feel at home, and were always ready to attend to our requests - whether it's helping to make reservations, or arranging for transportation. Don't miss out the following when you're at Bali Bliss/Ubud: - A trek along Campuhan Ridge, which starts right at the doorstep of the resort - Karsa Spa, location in a rice paddy field just minutes away, offers one of the best massages in Ubud - Alchemy Bali is home to great refreshing juices and raw food – Sari Organik, in the town centre area, offers fresh organic food in...yes...a rice paddy field setting again - Seniman Coffee is where you can people watch while enjoying an aromatic cuppa - Melting Wok has awesome service and serves up a unique fusion dishes

peaceful, relaxing and beautiful”
secluded location, romantic atmosphere, design of room
This is the second time staying at Bali Bliss Resort. I love the location of it. Its far enough away from Ubud centre to feel secluded and remote, but close enough to walk. The walk is a lovely stroll through amazing grassy hills. It's so peaceful and quiet on the grounds of the Resort. It is relaxing and romantic and worth the money although in comparison to other places its a real bargain! I love the staff. They are all so happy and helpful. They welcome you and help you make the most of what Ubud has to offer. I would recommend this to anyone and plan on staying there again. In fact, Im half tempted to move in! Lovely rooms and gardens and pool. Love Bali Bliss Resort and Spa!

Outstanding Bed and Breakfast”
If you're a bit of an adventurous traveler, I highly recommend Sunset Hill for your stay in Ubud. Although, I only lodged for three nights and spent time elsewhere, this is a must see. The grounds are beautiful, the infinity pool was breathtaking, the breakfast was fabulous....I can go on and on! I had to speak to the manager regarding rectifying my payment issue and she was so very helpful and courteous. The staff didn't speak much English but the manager was always a phone call away to translate and direct. The location was spectacular. To get into the town for shopping and dining, there's a path through the wooded area that ran a little over a mile. You ended up at a temple, a creek, and the pathway to town. It was so awesome! I would certainly lodge here again. I love clean facilities, no tvs, no distractions, attentive staff, and a very good value for my money.

Great place bad service, due to language barrier”
It’s not that the staff isnt nice! They are very accommodating.. but we arrived with nearly no possible drinks to order because they where out of ingredients. We tried to book a massage but, when we should have had it, we was informed that there where no available masseuse availble.. this issue with a lot of things on menu not available, was made so much more hard that most (except one) nearly don’t speak a word of english

Beautiful pool!”
Beautiful infinity pool overlooking the forest! Booked the Budget Double room on the first night and the Deluxe on the second night but got free upgrade to Deluxe for both nights - really appreciate it! Room isn't very clean, can feel a layer of dirt when walking around, but it is understandable when staying in this kind of resort style villa. We managed to book a motorcycle with them, it worked well. Wifi only works in the lobby area. Recommend this hotel if you want a getaway from town, which is about a 30mins ride away. Karsa Spa is just beside but make sure you make reservations before going as it is very, very popular!

We had a great time at sunset hill. The staff was very accomodating and nice. The room was always clean and the bed was great and the sheets always smells good. The free breakfast was also good although there are only a few choices it was a complete meal. The pool was great. The hotel was also very near Campuhan ridge which is nice if you want to take a walk in the morning or at sunset. I would highly recommend this place if you are just looking to relax and get away.

The perfect Ubud getaway”
Myself and my boyfriend stayed here for two nights in April. We had a bungalow and it was very spacious- the bed was the biggest I've ever stayed in! Very private and peaceful. Also very clean. The pool was the reason I booked and it did not disappoint. It was exactly what staying in Ubud should be like with views overlooking the jungle. The only two things I would say could be improved (both minor) are the availability of scooters ready to use with petrol- both evenings we asked for a scooter to get into town (essential especially at night) we had to wait a good while until they found one with enough petrol or helmets. And the only other thing was the banana pancake at breakfast was barely cooked and just didn't taste good compared to all the other delicious pancakes we tried in Bali. But apart from that it was lovely! Would definitely recommend and we will most likely stay there on our next trip.

Even with miscommunication prior to checking in, they still went out of their way to help us.Fantastic view that made us fall in love with this place even more. Will definitely stay again!!!

We enjoyed this little piece of paradise. Nice to be away from the hustle and bustle of Ubud. The lovely walk down the Campuhan trail was enjoyable and the best Bali massage was 5 meters from my bungalow door. The pool was heavenly relief on the very hot days that we stayed and the staff was so sweet and helpful. We will definitely be back!

Tranquil hill-top retreat”
Beautiful Forrest views, spacious room with enormous bed, helpful hosts
Sunset Hill is a little way out of Ubud centre but none the worse for that. We came here direct from the airport after a 17hr journey, and loved every minute. Taxi from the airport was 400,000 Rps, or £20. The walk into Ubud from here is a lovely 20 min ridge-top walk with rainforest either side of you, passing a temple on the way. In the other direction 10 miin or so brings you to rice fields (as per the walk outlined in the Lonely Planet) The breakfasts were simple but good, including a choice of fresh fruit juice. The dinner menu was limited but again very tasty local style food, and very reasonably priced. Several other eateries also available nearby. We spent plenty of time lounging around the hotel/pool/dining area, but also mostly we were in Ubud, which is a vibrant and colourful town with plenty to see and occupy you for a few days. We would recommend the Sunset Hill hotel to you.

Luxurious garden, cosy bungalow, very friendly staff
A spend a week in this remote hotel (a bit far from central Ubud) however, I spend a very relaxing time (there is no TV and the Wifi in the restaurant is very low). If you looking for something nice and quiet that's the place. The restaurant offer only vegetarian dishes nicely presented.

I had a fantastic time!”
Engulfed in nature. Quiet and isolated from the noisy outside world. The pool was unbelievably gorgeous.
For a solo traveller, I had a magnificent time. The manager and staff were aways willing to help and make my stay that much better. The pool was breath taking and I was lucky enough to have it all to my self for one day. I was always happy to return to my hotel after a great day out, for sweet serenity and quiet. Everyday I was tempted to stay at the hotel instead of going out just to enjoy the quiet and relax and wander. I would definitely recommend this to a wide range of travellers. Couples, solo travellers, backpackers and people on a budget will definitely find this a gem in the rough.
