Good, firm beds in huge rooms! Lovely and helpful staff, really nice pool area, nice breakfast! Here already for the second time, and if I'm coming back to Khao Lak again I would come back here too.

cosy,clean bungalow with nice balcony, great value for budget traveller”
Stayed here for two nights, bungalow was spacious,clean and had a nice balcony to sit on, breakfast was nice, fried eggs, toast and tea, good for me. Turning left a ten min walk to the lovely quiet bang nang beach where you will find many lovely resort areas with pools to sit. turning left a few mins from the property I ate at the same Italian restaurant both nights,called Peter Pan, amazing fresh raviolis. Im vegetarian so good no spice food hard to find, From the property turning right you can walk to the tsunami memorial in less than 15 mins, a sobering experience the walk to the landing place of the shipwrecked police boat 2km from the coastline but a must visit.

Good location, nice accommodation”
Great place to stay for a few nights. Easy access to the beaches and places to eat and drink. The breakfast was quite simple and self service but couldn't really complain. Cleaning staff were superb and made sure the room was really clean each day without fair and super polite even with the language barrier. Just make sure you are given the room you actually booked as it does make a difference, especially when it comes to having a balcony and a view!

Great value for money ”
Lovely and spacious bungalow with en suite bathroom. Not much storage space but has AC, a fridge and the bed was super somfy. Great restaurants and cafes around. The littl pool was very clean. We stayed six nights and we enjoyed how lovely and cosy it was, for the money we paid we feel it's great value.

It's right where we needed to be”
We chose this hotel because we were doing a liveaboard and it is right next to the dive shop. It was fine for one night, just a basic accommodation with everything we needed and air con. Walking down the street there were a number of restaurants to choose from and the beach is walking distance as well.

Charming Bungalows... ”
... for a fair price. Can't complain about anything. Aged quite a bit, would personally not use the pool. But for the price I paid, I was fully satisfied.

Tired and basic”
I must thank the reception lady for allowing us a late check out before going diving, but that really was the only positive. Other than that she was very abrupt, the whole place looks tired and run down, probably post covid so hopefully it can bounce back.

Very noisy , wastewater smells, insects in bungalow”
Poor breakfast. Not very well built and maintenance is not their cup of tea. There were ants in the room. The place is very noisy because of the main road being close and lots lots of traffic . Wastewater smells outside the bungalows. Similar to camping.

Ask for key deposit back when checking out”
Did not return key deposit on checking out, I assume they "conveniently " forgot. It completely slipped our minds at the time but they should have remembered. Poor management throughout. Our room didn't have a safe although it was listed as having one, it took over 2 hours of repeated heated discussions for them to provide one. Resort is poorly managed & neglected.

Perfect value ”
The Sunshine Inn is located at the end of main street of khao lak. It's undeniable that it's sometimes louder due to car noise etc. but that shouldn't bother to stay at Sunshine Inn because it's the perfect place to stay on a budget and within less than a 5min walk you arrive at a beach which looks breathtaking without swarms of tourists. The staff is also very polite and always smiling even the rooms are not perfectly cleaned but it has an imperfect charm to it. PS: this is my first review. I never wanted to write one but I feel like sharing this place and giving you the opportunity to explore khao lak as I did. Another good aspect is that due to the low hotel costs you can do more activities :)

Very nice stay in renovated hotel”
- Location: We stayed in Khao Lak to do a snorkeling and/or diving tour to the Similan Islands. Youth Club was ideal for that, all the diving centers are only 50-100 meters away. The beach in Khao Lak is also not far, approximately 5 minuten walking, but 'this' beach is not special. Further away is a white sand beach which we did not go to. - Rooms: the (double/twin) rooms are very nice. Clean, quiet and big enough, we even had a fridge in our room. - Staff: very friendly, helpful and spoke good English. - Swimming pool was very nice to relax in too. There are sunbeds for free.
