A good quality Hotel isolated from Phuket twon”

Good size Rooms with great pool area and exceptional dining

My wife and I have visited Thailnad five times but had never stayed in the Au Por area of Phuket. The Supalai is isolated if your looking for close shopping, however if your looking for a good quality hotel with good facilities and dining in a quiet area away from the crowds this is it. Enjoyed our stay there Hotel staff were efficient and friendly will stay there again..

Far from the crowds, a beautiful location”

Seclusion, beautiful location, great rooms, excellent service, a great view from our room
A bit far from everything else, though the hotel gives several options for transport

We selected the Supalai because we wanted a quiet holiday in a beautiful location, and we were very happy with our choice. The rooms were very tastefully decorated and offered excellent views of the north-eastern coast of Phuket. Perched on a hillside, we woke up each morning to clear skies and a stunning view of the sea. The 2 pools were very well maintained, and the restaurant at the hotel offered a wide variety of cuisines. Highly recommended.

Pleasant But Not for Long Stay”

First question asked by our driver was why we chose to stay @Supalai where "there is nothing" - no shopping & no beach & it's perched on a hillside. In other words, not a happening place. Well, that was precisely why we chose it! We wanted a peaceful and relaxing place away from the crowds, with a view of the sea, apart from the fact that we were heading to Ao Po pier the next day, and it is a short drive there. We would love to come back here some day, but are skeptical if the spa facilities would be available for a totally relaxing time there. We had wanted to get a treatment but was informed that no therapists were available.

Great hotel in a great location. Loved our stay here”

We stayed at Supalai for 5 nights and enjoyed our stay. Their breaky is a standard breaky buffet in Thailand. You can also order local and western food from the menu. It’s a gorgeous view and everything was always very clean. The staff were super friendly. Especially when we got crook they were very good at helping us. The only down side (or could be a good thing depending what type of holiday) is how far away it is from a lot of locations. It’s on top of a hill you couldn’t really walk walk down and especially not up. So it was min 700 Baht to get out for the day. And not many restaurants near. If you want a quiet holiday in the hotel and by the pool and bay this is an excellent place. If you wanted to go sightseeing I would stay closer to the west of Phuket

Close to AO Po Grand Marina”

We stayed at a resort on the other island but our flight arrived late in the evening when there weren't any speedboats available anymore, thus I searched for AO Po Grand Marina on Agoda and found this property being located very close by and booked it for that reason for a 1 night stay. It turned out to be a lot better than expected and we enjoyed our stay. The rooms are clean and have a nice view, the resort is overlooking the ocean. Service was very good. Would book again.

Great Place, Hideaway from Crowd of Phuket”

Room big, clean with amazing view. Great food and stuff service. Hotel is providing cars or motorbikes for rent so you can explore the island.
SPA experience - could be much better for that price!

That is great resort if you looking for quiet, private hideaway. Rooms are amazing with a breathtaking view. Everyday we could enjoy sunrise from our bed. Stuff is very helpful. Restaurant has great food and service. Hotel is far away from the famous Phuket`s beach (Surin, Patong) but you can get there by car or mothorbike within one hour.

    Tranquil with great views”

    View, tranquility, peace & quiet

This hotel is designed to get away from the usual tourist locations in Phuket. If you want peace and quiet, great views (at least from the upper floors) and no stereotyped tourist distractions then i highly recommend this place. On the downside, after living in hotels for the past 10 years, rooms are rooms, there was nothing really outstanding about the room, the bathroom shower divider was a hazard to get in and out of and the occasional attack of mosquitoes if you left the balcony door open at night was annoying. The room service meal also arrived cold! Getting to and from the hotel to travel into town or the west coast of the island takes a little time, but we went there to relax and get away from the tourists anyway, which the hotel succeeds in doing. I would definitely recommend the hotel if all you want is peace and quite (again!).

    Super Stay in Phuket”

The view is fantastic. The staff is superb. The rooms were so nice and clean. The food was great!
Far from Pier where our snorkling tour started - so we had to pay a bit extra for the pick-up from the hotel. Without a car - we did feel a bit stranded - however we were able to rent a car from the hotel with no problems.

Excellent view from the lobby and from our rooms! We took a Christmas holiday to Phuket with the plan of spending most of our time at the beach and the islands snorkling. The kids perferred the hotel pool to the beach and looked forward to returning to swim in the hotel pool each day after snorkling. The food in the restuarant was great! Kudos to the chef for having such a diverse menu and making my nine people happy each and every meal! They also prepared breakfast boxes for those mornings we had to leave before the designated breakfast buffet time. Excellent trip - will stay here again!

    Stunning views”

    Fully featured, very well presented

we had just had 10 days in the khao sok national park region where our accommodation was between 2 star and organic/rustic, so we quite enjoyed the little luxuries. we were there for 2 nights only, waiting for our tenta nakara stay to come around. we need not have paid the extra for a corner room - all rooms facing the ocean would be wonderful. we were on the second floor, but i think the third floor may have been better. great pool, good cocktails. all a bit pricey, and then they hit you up for a 10% service charge and a 7% vat. for a small chang beer, the final price was not far short of 200 baht. the staff we found to be universally friendly and helpful, but we were there in low season and there weren't masses of guests taxing their niceness. the real thing to bear in mind is that you are a long walk from anywhere (really long walk). realistically, you need to be taxied where ever you want to go. and there are set prices for the taxis - no battering - and all taxis are ordered through reception. something to remember, though. in the quiet season the beachfront restaurant does not operate and nor, it seemed, does the complimentary shuttle boat to naka yai island. our luckiest encounter was jum (julie) - a thai national who had been with qantas for 5 years as a flight attendant and is currently studying tourism management in switzerland of all places. julie was completing a 2 month internship at supalai. what an absolute treasure of friendliness and helpfulness. thanks jum!

Lovely hotel with wonderful views and setting.”

    Staff very friendly and helpful.

We paid extra for grand de-luxe sea view, room no. 325, which did have a fantastic view and was spacious. However, it is on the end of the accommodation block, 15 metres from the noisiest part of the main block which housed ventilation units from the kitchens. Standing on the balcony the noise was deafening, not so bad with balcony doors shut as the room air con blocked it out. The room below (225) would have been worse. Hotel was pretty full with Chinese tour groups and mostly Russian guests. Noise level as the tour groups arrived or left at all hours did affect our sleep. Breakfast is aimed at the above groups of guests and we ended up buying our own cereal. Fortunately we had a hire car and could travel when we wanted. It is a lovely part of the island but you need transport as the hotel is away from towns or villages. There are extensive grounds and monkeys from the adjoining forest were on the roof and balconies one morning! The pictures of the beach are misleading, it had not been cleaned when we were there and is a 5 minute walk down and 15 minute walk back. The hotel is up a very steep road, a shuttle service to the beach is provided but we did not see many doing that. The swimming pools were very good and kept clean. Our room was very nice if a little 'jaded' . Shower head needed de-scaling to increase the flow, bathroom grouting poor etc. We stayed for nine nights and ate at the hotel restaurant half the time. Food was excellent and very good value. Also will remember the beautiful setting over the pools and looking over Phnang Na Bay as we ate breakfast or had an evening meal.

Best Western Premier Supalai Resort & Spa Phuket ”

Stunning hotel with wonderful views. The staff were incredibly friendly, polite and at all times tried their best to please. The rooms are lovely with superb bathrooms and all the facilities including fresh fruit on arrival.Pool and infinity pool superb too.
Very quiet location- need to get a cab to any other facility apart from those provided by the hotel.

The hotel offers all the facilities that a modern traveler requires from a resort, exceptional facilities including a Spa.We went out of season so it was incredibly quiet, so quiet that on the first night we thought we were the only people staying there. It is out of the way this hotel and you need to get a taxi to and from the resort.Free transport to Naka island for sandy beach was a nice touch (shame you can only stay 2 hours).Taxi's are relatively cheap so suggest use to get to nearest resorts.English was sometimes misunderstood at reception and so at times communication is difficult but all staff try so had to understand and help you.Food was good but as we were out of season many items were missing off the extensive menu- including some basics.Overall worth a visit for the amazing scenery, interesting pool and lovely staff.

    Supalai”

    quiet,great views,great pools

This is a lovely, extremely remotely located quiet place to spend time with your loved one. My wife and I spent our quiet 2nd honeymoon here and overall enjoyed the stay. There are some drawbacks that colored our opinion. It is located far from everything, that is, the beach is 45 minutes away, Phuket town is 1 hour away, and good restaurants are 45-60 minutes away. So, we felt we spent the stay doing too much driving. It does have its own beach located at the bottom of a steep, steep hill. We did walk down and back one time only. That beach is actually a converted mangrove swamp with sand added The views from the room and the restaurant is fantastic. We climbed stairs to get anywhere in the resort

    Lovely hotel but uneducated clients”

    View, environment

the supalai is nestled in a wilder part of phuket island, away from the crowd and the traffic jams. it is therefore an affordable option while also offering a beautiful, authentic environment. the hotel is nice with a large swimming pool and a nice view. the restaurant serves very decent local food but the room and service is pretty basic. breakfast is disappointing. a large part of the clients are chinese and russians and it can get pretty noisy at the restaurant, in the corridors or at swimming pool. avoid high season or prefer a more luxurious hotel if you want to relax.

    Fantastic views”

We picked this hotel to stay in at the end of a sailboat charter with Sunsail because of its location near the marina. It was perfect for several reasons: The pools were delightful, the staff very helpful, the view overlooking the Phang Nga bay fantastic. Decent food but a little uneven. The only negative was the hotel had many large groups of Chinese tourists who were very noisy.

    Remote but relaxing”

Good price ( for a Grand Deluxe double room) Amazing views Big pool Free shuttle bus to a beach, an island and a shopping mall Good variety of Thai and Western food at breakfast Helpful staff Free wi-fi in the room
30 minute drive to the west coast / Phuket Town and not many restaurants nearby Buffet style breakfast (no freshly cooked eggs) Spa treatments are expensive

Supalai is a great place to stay if you want to relax for a few days by the pool and enjoy the amazing views towards Phang Nga. The free shuttle bus is handy if you don't want to hire a car, although it only leaves at set times. The room was spacious, very clean and had a quiet air-conditioning system.
