Bare Bones Motel Best Suited For A Brief Stay”
Inexpensive; Easy Access To Freeway; Generally Safe Area; Both Smoking & Non-Smoking Rooms
In general, Super 8 is a budget motel chain. One shouldn't expect to find many of the amenities offered by full-service hotels. For example, while most Super 8 motels, including this one, offer free continental breakfasts (a common practice among most motels now), don't expect room service, or a restaurant to be on premises. While the above applies generally to Super 8 Motels, they do vary. I consider this Super 8 to be inferior to the average. The room I had was the smallest I've ever seen at a Super 8. There was no microwave, mini-refrigerator, or even an iron in the room. And while many Super 8's have replaced analog TV's with large, LCD ones, this motel has only old-style TV's that must be at least 10 years old. And the one in my room didn't work particularly well (some stations were barely watchable). The remote control didn't work, although that could have been because its batteries were dead (I never bothered trying to get a replacement). Wi-fi was occasionally difficult to connect to. On the positive side, the room was clean, and the king size bed was comfortable enough. The service at the front desk was generally satisfactory, with some variance depending upon who was there. The motel itself is owned by an Indian family from Great Britain. Overall, while I've certainly seen budget motels that are worlds worse than this, my suggestion is that unless you're really on a tight budget, shell out some extra money, and choose a different place to stay. There are many motels in the area.
