Real Value for Money!”
This was our second stay as we came back to Paris from our EuroTrip. Well I had the same comments as my first review, the only thing changed is, this Hotel changed their name and I was told that my reservation was cancelled. It took us a few minutes on the reception area before we were given a room. Luckily there was an available one, but if it happened that there was none, I am not sure where we are going to sleep since the receptionist did not know about our reservation.

Came for a holiday”
Plus point: 1. Absolutely the location, very convenient to metro and train station in Walking distance. 2. It's an Indian street, thus very convenient for Indian food and so on. 3. The receptionist is very humble and polite, helpful. Helped us for early check in. 4. The breakfast is excellent. Even though there is not much choices, We really enjoyed. Minus points: 1. The room too small and we were struggled to keep our luggage. Very stuffy. We felt the price bit over for it.

Real value for money!”
We love this hotel we booked in France. Room was very spacious, staffs were very helpful and speaks English. The only thing we did not like is the elevator, since it's really small, my wife and I had to take turns taking our luggage to our room. For the restaurants near the hotel, we did not know it's an indian quarter location so mostly there were Indians foods and lack of other variety. Overall, it's a very good hotel and worth the money. The hotel is walking distance to Gare Du Nord which has been the deciding factor for us.

Location and staff was perfect ”
There is no mini bar or refrigerator as mentioned in the application. The elevator was very small, it can carry only one person and one travel bag and most of the time was out of service. The room was very small also for a couple and there is no place where you put your clothes and stuff.

Clean rooms and kind staff. Breakfast ok. But these are only good side of the hotel.”
Very small and uncomfortable room. Bathroom didn't have a door, it has just one glass, semi-transparent cover in front of your bed. Elevator was small, like a cupboard. Staff said that in my booking breakfast wasn't included although my booking shows that it was. Perheps it was a fault of the web-page and not the hotel. Wiev through the window was another windows. Good side: clean and kind staff

OK Stay”
Location is great, but the hotel is in middle of market street with meat/negotiable/fish market.... Hence quite noisy and smelly outside. If I had known this before, I would have stayed elsewhere. The elevator/lift is tiny to fit two people...so feels claustrophobic.. Good thing: Walking distance to Gare du nord metro, where u can get Hop-on-off bus and all Paris zone metro from La chapel metro. Nice French Breakfast. Rooms are big enough to fit family of 4.

Decent location”
7 minutes from a metro and RER Got in at 12am from a flight, was awoken by an employee of the hotel at 8:30 in the morning hammering outside of our door. Told the hotel and nothing was done. No remote for the aircon, the safe didn’t work and the room was very dusty. Very disappointing.

Not worth it ”
Did not feel safe at all staying at this hotel. Not a nice neighbourhood especially if you have young children. Rooms were okay. Beds were not too comfortable. But otherwise was clean. Tiniest elevator. Only 1 person with luggage could fit. A lot of Indian restaurant and grocery stores nearby. We ate lunch at one near our hotel and it was pretty good. 10min walk to gare du nord station

Last min booking”
Needed a hotel close to the train station as I was aiming to take the first train to the airport. Closest place that gave off clean vibes, so was willing to pay more for. Pics were misleading though. Rooms not well lit, furniture was very old and overused. Did not feel safe in the area as a female solo traveller - was harassed trying to find this place and the keycard system was not secure. (Let's just say you can go into other people's rooms without a master key)

completely opposite to all the negative reviews”
when looking for a hotel for a three night stay, I had some constraints. It needed to be as near as possible to the Gare du Nord, I needed quiet (difficult at any price), and relatively low cost. Nevertheless, I decided that, given my past experience with Paris over the last 20 years, I would not look at anything below three stars. Once I had my location and price band, it was simply a matter of comparing the reviews of other travelers. The hotel Faubourg came up with one of the better prices, but it had several poor reviews. One individual had written that not all of the rooms were renovated, another that the elevator was too small, but worst of all, the location was criticized in several reviews. Having lived in Manhattan in the late 70's and early 80's, I couldn't imagine the location would be terrible, so I called the hotel to ask about the renovated rooms. I speak French fluently, and had no trouble confirming that the rooms were all fully renovated. On our arrival in the area, we were stunned at the beauty and charm of the area. It is completely true that it is an extremely heavily concentrated area of Indian shops, but frankly, I and my wife found the window displays so attractive, that over the next few days, we had an unexpected cultural experience that yielded some new friends, some absolutely stunning purchases of pure silks and wools at ridiculous prices, and some absolutely memorable photos that various shop owners permitted us to take of their window-displays. In short, not only did we NOT find the location/area objectionable, we found it precisely the kind of area someone might travel many miles to find. Certainly we would! On the hotel, I must say the following: we arrived, and after being given the key to our room, discovered that in fact, there was a mix-up at the desk, and someone else had already been given the room assigned to us. The people at the front desk, with sincere apologies, moved us to a suite on the top floor, for the entirety

A cheap and cheerful place to stay in Paris ”
The location is far from glamorous but it's very handy right next to La Chapelle Metro, and about 4 blocks from Gare Du Nord ( the metro from the airport goes direct) and there are loads of good cheap Indian restaurants nearby. The room was clean, safe quiet and air conditioned, the staff were VERY friendly and helpful. We bought a 2 day metro/ bus pass and covered a lot of ground, the hotel and city travel made it a very cheap and cheerful way to see Paris. The other guests we ran into all seemed to be genuine travellers and young families it, wasn't at all dodgy and the front desk is staffed 24 hours.

great location but best not to travel alone”
location - very near to gare du nord station. but, it's like living in little india. where u get the occasional stares from passerby. streets looked dodgy and scary. unsafe to travel alone or with girls only. room condition - very clean. except for the leaking air conditioner. its all good. customer service - very good. always smiley and welcoming. breakfast - stayed for two nights. had twice the breakfast with the same variety of food. the usual french croissant and patisseries. yummy. interesting coffee/milk machine.

Budget and value for Money/near Gare Du Nord stn”
Booked this hotel for a 4N stay. The hotel is approximately 10 minutes walk away from Gare Du Nord Station which offers a tad of convenience since i need to return to London after my stay. It is also near La Chapelle Metro (roughly 5 mins away.) The hotel has only one 2-3pax lift, so it can be tough squeezing it through with your luggage during checkin/out. The life is almost serviceable during my stay and i had to take the stairs since i stayed on the fifth floor. Morning breakfast was almost the most delicious meal i had in Paris, i loved their hot and piping croissant, fantastic tasty fruit juices and the underground dining experience. Not the most comfort, but good for value.

Top location”
Location was great few minutes walk from gare du nord. Rooms, lift were too small and difficult to move around but clean...staff, receptionists were very friendly. We arrived earlier than the check in time and our room was not ready yet, but they accommodated us to another room that was ready. Thank you!

located in "little india" so will get quite scary when you first arrived. but location is good and there is a very famous indian restaurant called dishney which is a must try. close to the main station gare du nord so easy to travel. great place!

Convinient location and nice room”
We arrived to Gare de Nord station in a raining evening but it didn't take us long to find and walk to the hotel. It's surrounded by lots of Indian shops, Indian super market where you can easily grab some fruit and drinks. Sm nice cafes is opposite Gare de Nord station for a French breakfast in the morning. We had a good one before heading to the airport

Good Hotel / good location”
Pleasant stay for a short weekend in Paris. Location a couple of minutes walk from Gar Du Nord. The room was clean but small, but didn't spend much time in the hotel anyway. The Hotel is currentley under refurbishment, but no works over the weekend. We didn't try their breakfast or any other services, so can't really comment on this one. If you're looking for a cheap room and not a luxury hotel this is the one for you.
