Vi var i Kyoto på semester. Kyoto är en fantastisk stad, mycket trevlig och välkommnande. En storstad som känns liten. Bra service och shopping. Bra kommunikationer lokalt, nationellt och internationellt.

The hotel is located a five minute walk from Karasuma Oike metro station in Kyoto, which you can use to access the Karasuma and Tozai metro lines. It is a five minute walk from Nishiki market, one metro stop away from Nijo Castle, and two stops away from the JR line at Nijo. The hotel is currently undergoing renovation, but it didn't affect us. The Wi-Fi, hot water, bathroom, bed, were all excellent. The customer service was spectacular. They made our room every day and they also held our luggage for us for most of the day. The adjoining Italian restaurant does a breakfast buffet at just under 1,000 yen per person, which is excellent. Not a single negative thing to write. Just be aware that as of October last year Kyoto introduced a city tax that is payable when you check out.

This hotel is located in a very convenient location, just a short walk from the Karasuma Oike station with access to the green and red subway lines. Location is also close enough to walk to the main shopping area about a 10 minutes walk to the East. Room was spacious and clean with TV and refrigerator. Note: you must give the key to the hotel staff when you leave the hotel.

Great hotel in a good price”
The location was great! close to the train and in a short walking distance from many turistical areas. The staff was amazing. The room size was also good and everything was prefectly cleaned. I also found a nice coffee place just around the corner.

Comfortable and Pleasant”
Very lovely simple hotel perfectly situated with adjacent dining. It’s not a five star but it’s very comfortable. Would have liked a toaster oven with small cafe lounge and perhaps a free self laundry but it is not a weekly mansion. Basically it was really perfect

This is the second time to stay here. The location is perfect and the staffs are kind. The only thing I didn’t appreciate is that it is under renovation. I didn’t get a notice in advance. (I was informed when I was check in.) My room has no window view because of temporary fences. Maybe the rooms on lower floors have the same situation.

Pleasant Simple Elegance”
Gimmond Hotel is highly recommended for its consistent services, comfortable rooms in a prime location, and ease of access to transport lines. A bonus: both a delicious Italian and Japanese style restaurant are attached to the hotel.

Clean and comfortable hotel”
Everything is very good in the hotel. The only improvement required is the bed. The bed seems to be lost its hardness at the middle. Other than that, everything is very good

Old bathroom but everything was perfect. 2min to sub by walk, very kind reception. Also When I catch a taxi I only speak this hotel name and they all know where is it. Check it time is also very nice. Ill book this hotel again if I go kyoto again.

I recommend this hotel to everyone! We stayed 3 nights in this hotel! Everything was great! The room was bigger than we expected. The staff were pretty friendly. Definitely will go back again!

Classic Hotel with Amazing Value”
Hotel is conveniently located (4 mins walk from Subway, 2 mins from main Bus stop, 15 mins from Nisshiki Market). Its very clean and room is quiet too, with a very good price. Totally worth it! One thing to remind is that the room only has heater (no cooling aircon), since the weather is cold already.
