Lite slitet men helt ok ändå”
Shame people have to smoke in their bathroom even in a non smoking room. Smoke came through our vent. Tea/coffee facilities in room would be good.
this hotel is centrally located and hence within walking distance from the main tourist attractions such as spain plaza the fontane di trevi pantheon and collessium. rooms are spacious and breakfast is good as well. continental breakfast available as well. i recommend this hotel to all of those who are looking to sightsee. do bear in mind that the area is not cheap
Nice staff - modest rooms and amenities”
I decided last minute to book the Veneto for my last night in Rome. As a solo traveler, I wasn't looking for a 5 star experience - just a place to crash for the night with decent location and internet access. That's exactly what I got. Room (and bathroom) were ok. Wi-fi was easy to log into from the room. Shower was a bit odd (no tub and just a hand shower piece you need to take out of its holder and rinse yourself with like a pet being washed). If you're looking for a quick place to crash it's fine. Just remember you get what you pay for.
Beware of hidden fees”
Booking the hotel was easy but upon arrival, we learned a different way of conducting business. We have travelled throughout Europe and the world, so, we're not novice when booking hotels in advance. Veneto Palace never disclosed on the booking agent that after the online payment of the hotel, we should incur other fees upon checking in. It's not much, just Euros 12 per room (the so-called city tax) but it's the undisclosed term of additional strings that come with the booking, not to mention it has to be paid in cash. I wonder why??? I like to keep my finances in order and i believe that the new Italian law issued in Feb 2012 does just that: discouraging disobedience of fiscal laws and pocketing cash, the easiest way of losing track of profits. I am appaulled that for the price we paid we have no internet, no breakfast included or parking, and yet, we are put in the position of "take it or leave it" upon checking in. Had it not been for the non-refundability of the booking, we would have changed plans right there on the spot. We have been at Ritz many times and in comparison, Ritz is the highest benchmark set in the hotel industry that we have experienced but have never be put in the position of demand which was taken by the staff of this hotel; i sincerely believe that they are trained how to deal with push-back on this subject, because they all come up with the same template answer. In fact, one of them went beyond his duties and asked the booking agent for explanations, than, a reply email stating that it's our responsibility to pay those additional fees fall into our care, fact that was not disclosed upon booking and payment of the rooms. Rooms are small, don't expect much; bathrooms are practically facilitated for comfortable use even though the mirror magnifier-vanity missed a screw to make it stay still, the overall is upgraded with good taste considering that the building is there since the XVIIIth century.
Needs a bit of upgrading”
This is an ok hotel to stay if you are on a budget. The location is not very near (in my standards) to Spagna (shopping district). It is at a quite side of town though. No particular nice restaurants nearby that i know of. The room was a bit small and old and my room was facing the inside of the building, which was not very nice. There was no free internet so if you are first time in Rome, this is not so good as you need the internet to look for places to eat, etc.
Location of the hotel was convenient.”
hotel is located in a quiet street and thus was able to get good rest in the evening. within walking distance to the spagna area which provided great shopping and metro station which can took us to most of the sites, find great restaurant around the areas where local eats, thus avoiding the typical tourist type of restaurant which are so common in rome..
lovely hotel - ”
The hotel is well located in the beautiful via Veneto, 5 min walk to the Piazza di Spagna and Fontana di Trevi. The rooms are very well decorated, clean and the bathroom has a kind of Jacuzzi shower.
Great location, fantastic value for money.”
Fantastic location, only a 5-10 minute walk from the hustle and bustle of the Spanish steps, Trevi fountain Very clean and looked after rooms, clean bed sheets daily, toiletries, etc
Nice and practical hotel ”
Nice stay but dissapointed regarding the room windows (no view and very noisy place)
Good hotel for couple nights.”
Its nice hotel for short time stay. Old fashion interior, little smely toilet and bathroom.
Beautiful boutique hotel”
This lovely hotel was once a palace and the rooms have been beautifully. Great staff, very clean and comfortable; lovely bar downstairs and also a very lovely little fitness / spa area that the staff keep quiet well - hidden. I discovered this by accident! Overall a lovely experience and I'll be staying here again.
Great hotel, looking forward to my next stay ”
Great hotel, close to Borghese Gardens, very clean and well appointed rooms. Good value for money.
Great Location, Quite Area”
Staff were really friendly and very helpful. A wide variety of choices for breakfast excellent quality of food, great views of Rome from the breakfast room on the 7 floor. Well equipped Gym and Spa. The Hotel is also very close to serveral Banks and cash points so it's always easy to get Euros anytime of the day.
Good location but rooms are too small”
The room is far too small. The shower is so small, you cannot even bend over-ridiculous. Room service is not 24hrs, only inb the afternoon and evening. The breakfast was minimal at best, and not up to standard, The location is central, however this hotel has too many negatives and I would not stay there again(or recommend it to anyone else)
Lovely hotel in Rome”
Very lovely hotel, and ended up extending my stay here for a few days. Hotel rooms are lovely and quite spacious, very clean and great service from staff. A very small but good gym. Breakfast was very basic and the same every day. The only negative was the ridiculously high charge to access wi-fi. Otherwise, everything else was great.
Veneto hotel is ok”
one of the things that i liked with the hotel was the roof terass with wiev over all of rome. we prepaid everything including breakfast and because of that we weren´t allowed to eat up on the terass.this was we informed about, as we checked in. it would cost additional 5 euro to eat there instead on ground floor. breakfast very poor and sweet, although the cappucinos were very good! however, the staff in breakfast area was very kind and let us change breakfast area 2 times free of charge. big minus for not having conditioner in bathroom. expensive in bar. one bottle of beer in minibar 3 euro. in bar 5 euro for the same bottle. very nice bartenders, though!!
Lovely Rome Hotel”
Hotel Staffs are friendly with useful recommendations and tips to get around. Hotel Romano has a beautiful city view from the dinning hall. The coffee is fantastic.
Nice hotel in central rome”
i went to this hotel with my mom for a week and it was very enjoyable. agoda got me a great deal on a normally expensive hotel. had i not got the deal it would not have been worth the money we paid. it was very clean very pretty. there was no view and it was a small room but again we went out all day ever day. very very nice
Excellent hotel in excellent location”
First class service, excellent breakfast, not far from the Metro Station Berberini. Attentive staff at reception
