Below Average”
Firstly Agoda did not pass on our booking, so we had a very rude greeting from the staff who kept insisting we had not made the booking and they had no rooms left.In the end they grudgingly gave us a room. Secondly the Hotel is worth 1000nrs a night not 4000nrs or so we paid. The rooms stank of damp and mold so bad we could not stay in it, so we asked to changed rooms. In the end they gave as another room which was marginally better. The bathroom had no water, the bed sheets where uncomfortably damp. Staff where not friendly nor helpful and the entire building looks like it needs a good make over and clean up. I know I stayed there a few years ago, seems the price has been upgraded but nothing else.... Disappointing stay and there are much better value for money hotels in Nagarkot.
too hazy to see the mountains”
great dinner after a walk through the village.
The Best Himalayan Range view Hotel”
I was there on 3rd April, probably the best time to visit Nagarkot. The location of this Hotel is the best in Nagarkot. This was my 2nd visit. You can stay here for 2 nights to make the most of this property. The scenic beauty is awesome!there was not a moment that we all were not in awe of this place.Good people.Good food.Sunrise view from the rooftop is the most amazing part of the stay here. Next time i will stay for longer.
GREAT HOTEL”
GREAT PLACE”
The first thing we noticed was the concierge. He was extremely efficient, more than willing to help, in the most genuine way. We then realised also that Hotel View Point offers one of the greatest views in Nagarkot, we could see sun set very clearly, we could experience sun rise the next morning like no other. The rooms are well-kept, and clean. The restaurant offers delicious local delicacies, which is a plus point. We came to know that the receptionist cum manager, SANTA BIR GHISING, a very intellectual man, was extremely informative and spoke to us about Nepal and Nepalese, which we were very interested in. The information and insights he had given us made the stay more interesting and he would accomodate our stay to the fullest comfort. We also came to know our concierge, SHEKHAR TIMILSINA, who also made the effort to wake us up as early as 0345 am, although he had worked hard throughout the day and night and made sure we would not miss our ride and was kind enough to share his breakfast meal with our driver. NOW THAT TO ME IS A 5-STAR treatment. Look no further, when you have plans to visit Nagarkot, this is the hotel which offers good room, grand hospitality, value for money and if you lie awake at night, the stars in the sky could be so near within reach. THANK YOU HOTEL VIEW POINT. GREAT JOB & AMAZING TEAM WORK.
Nice hotel but mostly boring”
I stay for one one night here with two other friends. The room decoration is good but lack of facilities such as no television, no heater in the room and no wifi, only in the restaurant. If you are an avid internet user, please ask them to pick room close to hotel restaurant. The toilet is bad with only cemented floor. There is nothing much to do here in Nagarkot other than sunrise and sunset, so imagine without those said facilities you will get bored easily.
Nice stay”
Arrived hotel view point via local transport and foot and it took us quite long to reach the top of the mountain (it's where the hotel is located) Thought it's hard to access especially if you arrive at night but the morning view on top is all worth it. Runs of of hot water everytime only after 1 person is done showering.. So I ended up not showering for two days cos staff sleeps quite early. No one to turn to for help at night
Best location in Nagarkot”
My stay was excellent. The view from the hotel's balcony is exceptional. You don't have to leave the hotel to get a good view of the Himalayas.
Not good hotel”
Terrible. The hot water was not working and I had to fix it by myself. Staff is not able to help.
Not recommended”
Terrible. The hot water was run from gas heater, which should be literally good. However the heater was not functionally normally and the water pressure was low. When the water heater is running, I smell gas leakage.
Normal Budget Hotel ”
We choose this Hotel due to it is the top view of the Himalaya, but we not manage to see sunrise due to rainy day. Food is nice , we have dinner in the restaurant. But breakfast is very basic, the hotel rate is not include breakfast. The Wifi only available at restaurant, when they is a croude the Wifi is damn slow. This is like Budget guest house condition , the hot water only available from 7-10pm, when we woke up for sunrise about 5am, there is no water supply till about 7am.
Hotel View Point”
Good
Best location to see the sunrise”
This is the most convenient hotel if you want to view the sunrise. Good quality restaurant, quiet surroundings and hot water is available all the time.
So so.”
No water for evening bath and consecutive morning bath.
Great vantage point, cold rooms”
Although it was cloudy the days I was there, this hotel has the highest viewpoint in town and I think it would be fantastic in good weather. A key point that I'm surprised I didn't read about before visiting is that the rooms are not heated. It is COLD. Be prepared.
Ok, not great, not bad”
Hotel View Point is a decent place for the price. It's best suited for people who are looking for a reasonably priced place to stay in Nagarkot and don't require a lot of comforts. The bed was comfortable and the showers worked (including warm water). It was a good deal for me.
It was great!!!”
It was great!!! I arrived late, they attend me right, gave a room, nice food and nepali beer and next morning the beautiful view of the himalayas.
Veiw was a lttle obstructed”
Only the location is good”
No Electricity for most of the time, internet only in restaurant area, broken flush tanks - how would you expect your stay to be, despite the fact that Hotel is at best location.
Himalayan peaks, warm fires, masala tea”
the views to the himalayan peaks is fantastic. waking up for the sunrise is worthwhile, although it was quite cold in december. you can enjoy the view from one of their various terraces, or in some case from your room. the food at their restaurant is just okay, but they light a fire in the evening which is really nice to sit around. internet didn't work at all the two days i was there.
