It was a great experience to sleep/live tradionally on the floor. The location is very convenient in a fantastic surrounding. The staff cannot speak english but is very friendly and they even offer a korean bakery. Definitely worth the money.
Very warm and comfortable stay + friendly service”
The stay was generally very pleasant. The hotel is located within the hanok village which is the main attraction in jeonju. The streets are really beautiful and feels very safe. The owners of this hanok are very friendly and helpful. They helped us to make a restaurant reservation as well as to book cabs. On one occasion when the cab fail to arrive, the owner brought us to the main street to flag cabs for us which we thought was a very kind gesture. The rooms are clean and has a very warm and comfortable feeling to it. The down side to this hotel is that the owners cannot speak English. Despite the communication barrier, the owner could understand most of our needs and attend to them well.

Nice stay in traditional korean house”
Enjoyable stay, meet other people staying there, the owner did not show up after showing me the room but the travelling neighbours' were nice. The room was small and clean. I asked for a second mattress as only one is not enough. Would not stay for too long there or in the winter but for 2 days experience, it was worthwhile.

This is right on the street you want to be in, in the heart of the Hanok village. There isn't really much to it,its a very simple pad on the floor, and a shower. clean and quiet though.

We had a wonderful stay at the hanok. It rained most of our stay so it was great to come back wet and cold and sit on the heated floor!! The owner spoke no English but nonetheless was as helpful as can be. She insisted that her son take us in their car to a certain restaurant that we were having trouble finding in the pouring rain, she wouldn't take no for an answer! Also loaned us an umbrella. Very very kind people and I would recommend their place to anyone. Very simple and perfect location in the middle of the village. Also very clean!!

stayed in the Ilrakdang Hanok Hotel for 1 night with a couple of my friends when we visited Jeonju-si. Very warm service received from the owners and very good food recommendations given as well. Will definitely consider staying there again next time.

An enriching and fulfilling one. The lady owner was extremely friendly and helpful. She gave us a tour of almost of the entire hanok village.
Charming, comfortable, experience Hanok staying”
Excellent stay as the whole village is charming with many hanok. Nearby Pungnamun is Nambu market where we get to experience the wet market activities. Walking beyond 'gaeksa' is JIFF which is a hang out for youths, with many cafés and shopping.

it was an interesting experience staying in a hanok. the room is small but cozy and clean. the staffs were friendly and helpful, although they did not really understand us, they tried their best to help us on our enquiries on jeonju city. they gave us some welcome snacks and drink too, which made us that it was a home away from home.

Great Place”
We booked for a Hanok experience for 1 night accommodating 3 ladies. We slept on the floor with the bedding which was a bit thin. But its spacious and cosy at the same time, we had a very pleasant 1 night. IIrakdang is centrally located in the Hanok Village which was great..everywhere was within walking distance.. its a very small village but still we missed a couple of places as we reached in the afternoon.

We found this traditional Honok hotel great. The couple who own and run the hotel are charming and friendly. Be aware that in the Hanok tradition, you will be sleeping on the floor with a very thin matress and a small, hard pillow. The owners are happy for you to use their washing machine, but there is no dryer, only clothes line and racks, so if you are there in rainy July like us, you may have difficulty getting your clothes dry!
