The pool looked very nice but not big enough to entice me in. The team at the hotel were very nice in fact I would say the friendliest we have encountered in Asia and we have been coming to Asia since 2009. Breakfast was again very nice :)))
location is good, tiny room and tiny bathroom.”
i book this hotel 3 month before my travelling date, room rate consider was high compare to other same star hotel., room is tiny, bathroom is very very tiny, suit for skinny person only. location is good.
location is good ,walking distance to night market and place to eat, breakfast is good.”
i book this hotel three months before my travelling date. quiet expensive in chiang mai with this rate. swimming pool is very small and just in front of the reception area. breakfast is ok but everyday is the same. room is very small, bathroom is very very tiny. not value for money.
Fantastic boutique hotel with a family touch”
if you are looking for a relaxing holiday this is definitely the place you should stay. The hotel staffs are just like your family, they provide good travel and sightseeing tips around the region and be super flexible with my last min requests. This is a home away from home !
Cute boutique hotel near the night market with the most amazing staff!”
We loved our stay at Kate and Hasu! Nice and clean with good location, and the atmosphere is just chilled and relaxed. The breakfast was really delicious. The best was the staff: Saint, Po, and Ked made us feel really welcomed, and we never felt this kind of attention in any other hotel. We will definitely stay here next time in Chiang Mai!
Lovely gem of a hotel within walking distance of the walled city. The staff were warm, friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was superb with options available for all tastes. Pool was for a dip only. My only criticism (and I hate to do so) is the bathrooms could do with a shelf. On the whole this is a small improvement. Saint was tremendously helpful as were all staff.
Read the 3 Star Reviews (Tiny Accomodation)”
Nothing wrong with this place, but be aware of what you are buying. The price is low compared to other accommodations in Chiang Mai, but that is because the rooms are reflective of that. It is a budget hotel and is equivalent to staying in an ensuite double at a nice hostel. Pros: relatively clean, good location for night market access, nice/helpful staff Cons: It's a shoe box, the bathroom is a closet (the shower is a curtain right next to the toilet), no storage area or closet to store bags. The place gets good reviews for a reason, but not for everyone.
Nice little boutique hotel”
Not suitable for business travel, but lovely little boutique hotel for vacation. Less than 10mins walk to the night markets, location is fantastic. Staff is polite and very service oriented. I would definitely stay here when I bring my family for vacation in Chiang Mai.
We really enjoyed our stay at Kate and Hasu Boutique Hotel. The location was ideal,a short walk to the old city and the night markets but in a much quieter side street. The rooms were compact but very functional. The beds were extremely comfortable. The hotel was well designed and always very clean. The breakfasts were excellent. The staff were fantastic, so friendly, helpful and full of good humour. We would definitely stay here again if we return to Chiang Mai
Great place for solo female”
Lovely place to stay, small rooms but all I needed was a bed and bathroom so it didn’t bother me. Breakfast was nice. Staff were lovely. Location was great, convenient and close to restaurants and night bazaar. Felt very safe walking at night by myself
I honestly don't know where to start - to us, everything was perfect! The staff is so friendly, they really care about every single guest which is why I'd rate this as the best place I've ever stayed at in the whole of Thailand. They give helpful advice, try to chat with you in the morning... it was really amazing. Kate & Hasu is nicely located in a quiet area, though not too far away from the old town - just about 5min on foot. The hotel offers many main choices for breakfast served with fruits, tea/coffee, juice and steamed sticky rice in banana leaves. The room itself is rather small, however, there should be enough space to hang some clothes and put your luggage on a small shelf. The bathroom is very little like most of the other guests have already mentioned in previous reviews. I loved the minimalistic style (since I and my bf travel with hand-luggage only for several weeks we don't have that much stuff), though it could not be for everyone. BEST EXPERIENCE, ขอบคุณมากค่ะ
Certainly good but not exceptional ”
The great things about this hotel are the staff and the breakfasts. The staff are lovely and do their absolute best to help and make your stay a pleasant one. I thought the breakfast (continental in my case) was exceptional. The hotel also has some nice decorative flourishes such as the vertical garden beside the pool. However, the rooms are small and their are no kettles although the staff say they will happily make you tea or coffee. The bathroom/wet room in my first allocated room 504 flooded into the bedroom on taking a shower as the plumbing didn't work. Furthermore, given that my check in was delayed because they had to emergency clean my room I sense this is an everyday occurrence. The bed in room 504 was chronically uncomfortable (too soft) and I had a dreadful night's sleep and insisted on being moved to a different room - imo that bed should be chucked out immediately. The tables and seating are set at the wrong height to eat comfortably and the cups too small.
Best boutique hotel I've experienced! ”
Location: Its definitely one of best location in my opinion. Literally 5 mins walk to the night market and 7 mins to the old city. Despite the strategic location, its pleasantly very quiet and peaceful during the night. Rooms: Rooms was definitely good enough for me and my partner. Bed and pillow was comfy. Despite all the reviews about how small the toilet/bathroom was, it was functional and we had no issues with it at all. We were also provided with free drinks in the minibar! Staff: What can I say, 5 stars wouldn't be enough for what I have experienced! Po, Saint & Ked was super helpful, friendly and welcoming! Their awesome customer service is definitely way better than some high end hotels that I've stayed! Although it was just a short 2 nights stay, they made us feel at home. To Ked, Po, Saint & the entire Kate & Hasu team, THANK YOU FOR YOUR AWESOME HOSPITALITY and making my first experience in Chiang Mai wonderful!
Amazing staff, great Hotel!”
I can recommend this hotel to anyone travelling to Chiang Mai. The staff was absolutely amazing, super attentive, extremely friendly and caring. The breakfast was very delicious and the location ideal for exploring the city. The rooms are very clean, nicely furnished and cosy but rather small. We would have loved to spend more time there.
Candy and Raymond from Australia ”
My husband and I stayed in Kate and Hasu Chiangmai for 7 days in Sept this year. All staffs are so friendly, helpful and they don’t mind to do an extra work for you when you have any issues. Particularly, I would like to thank you Ked, Pon, Saint and the whole team for their professional customer service.
By far the friendliest staff you'll ever meet!”
Very nice stay! The room and facilities are fine but what makes this place special is the staff. So friendly and helpful! It's obviously that they great pride in their jobs and they really make you feel at home. We didn't have time one day for a proper breakfast so they quickly put together some takeaway for us. Very location right off the main street. The old city is very close as well. I highly recommend this quaint little hotel!
The staff was extremely accommodating and gracious. The room was very clean but small so it's not ideal for a family. They provided 2 bottles of water and soft drink daily and the pool was clean and lovely. Complimentary breakfast was made to order with western and eastern styles to choose from and fresh and delicious! They will even prepare take away breakfast earlier if you have an earlier than 7am start . Location was outside of the main areas but short walking distance to nightly market.
The staff was extremely gracious and accommodating. the complimentary breakfast was made to order and they will even prep ahead of time for take away if you have early morning exit. The rooms are small so it's not ideal for a family but it was clean and each day they provide 2 bottles of water and soft drink. the location is outside of the main area but short walking distance.

Boutique hotel ”
Nice little hotel only 20 rooms . very friendly staff , the breakfast are quiet nice . It’s off the main road away from the hustle and bustle . The only downside is the rooms are really small . The bathroom is smaller the shower curtain clings to you at every turn . The house keeping is great room spotless every day
