I took my elderly mother for her first Korea trip and have booked 2 x rooms. One room was for my 2 friends & one was shared by my mum & me. We checked in smoothly, got the keys & went into our allocated rooms. My friends have got a room with closed bathroom but my one was designed with an opened layout (i.e. toilet, shower & vanity are not in a single closed room) I was quite worried as knowing both of my mum & me wouldn’t enjoy our stay of 6 nights in this type of layout. I went up to 21st floor reception desk 1st thing in the next morning. BIG THANKS to Liz! Liz has been so patient to listen & understood my concern. Thereafter she has spent the next 15 mins, very focused on her computer screen, tried so hard to look for a new room for us. Initially she found 1 in level 5 that would not be ready until 3pm. Then I asked whether it could be in a bit higher level as this is the 1st time my mum in Seoul and I hoped she could see some nice views (our existed room was in level 9). Again she listened to me with lots of patience & explained to me that any floor above level 11 would be in higher grade/rate but the one I booked was a standard type. However at the end Liz found a room which was in level 12 & could be moved in immediately. Despite it was a more expensive room type than what I have paid, without hesitation Liz has provided the room to us to ensure the enjoyment of our stay. Besides Liz, all other staff incl the room attendant lady were so cheerful and helpful. I have really enjoyed my stay in L7 and all aspects are great especially about the customer service!

Situated right in the vibrant Hongdae district, it's just a stone's throw away from the train station, making it incredibly convenient for exploring the city. The area itself is a treasure trove of amazing food places to explore, ensuring you'll never run out of delicious dining options. Plus, the lively atmosphere means you're often treated to captivating performances by talented students just around the corner – a wonderful bonus! Great hospitality and excellent level of service. Staff was friendly and helpful and had great English proficiency. Stayed here a few times, no matter as a group, family or solo, L7 Hongdae still did their best and offered me a pleasant stay. Located just 2-3 minutes from Exit 1 of Hongik Uni Station (escalators available), everywhere was accessible with ease, no matter shopping spots, concert venues or the airport.The room was comfortable, quite spacious with great ambience and air conditioning, equipped with generous and high-quality amenties. They do not offer toothbrush, but they can be purchased on the 21th floor near the check in counter or the convenience stores near the hotel. There is a Wowpass machine on the same floor where currency exchange and recharging the travel card is possible. I have encountered some enquiries and problems during my trip and they offered tremendous help and flexibility. Highly recommend, but do book early since the hotels can be pricey in Hongdae :)

I recently stayed at the L7 Hotel near Hongdae, and overall, it was a great experience. The hotel seem new and location is one of its biggest highlights—situated just a short walk (about 100 meters) from the metro station, and right next to the bustling Hongdae shopping street. It’s incredibly convenient for exploring local malls, cafes, restaurants, and nightlife in the area. The hotel itself is modern and well-maintained, offering a comfortable base for travelers. However, one point to note—as is common with many hotels in Korea—basic amenities like toothbrushes and toothpaste are not provided. While this may be standard locally, it can be inconvenient for international guests. It would be a nice improvement if the hotel could consider offering these essentials to make the stay even smoother for travelers. Overall, I’d recommend L7 Hotel for its strategic location and comfortable accommodations, with just a small note to future guests to bring along their own dental care items.

The hotel is perfectly situated right in the heart of Hongdae, with restaurants, the train station, and shopping areas all just a short walk away. I also want to praise the staff for their excellent service. When the toilet door in my room was faulty, the staff responded within 2-3 minutes after I called for assistance. Since the repair technician was a man, he was accompanied by a female staff member, which made me feel safe and comfortable. However, concerned that the door might come off, I requested a room change. Rachel at the reception quickly arranged this and ensured my comfort and convenience throughout. This is definitely a hotel I would highly recommend.

L7 Hongdae is conveniently located in the heart of Hongdae, close to buses, train station that is on Line 2. A lot of choices for shopping and dining. My advice is to ensure that the name you’ve booked under reflects what’s in your passport. Almost could not check-in because I left out part of my last name, even though I’ve fully paid. Thankfully the name on my credit card is the same as the Agoda booking name! Housekeeping was a little hit and miss. At times they were early, other times our room was made up after 3pm. It is always clean though. Sometimes they would forget to replace the disposable coffee cups or bathrobes, but housekeeping would graciously replace when we ring to ask for them. FYI, if your booking does not include the pool, you do need to pay 20,000krw to use it.

The hotel is located in the heart of Hongdae and easily accessible to many dining and shopping options. It was also convenient to get to and fro the airport via the subway and airport limousine without needing a long walk.

Generally favorable impression. Had nice welcome refreshments in the room with a particularly bright mango juice. The lemon-limeade was also nice in addition to water and the pocky like snack. They provided additional drinks complimentary when I requested to purchase some. Excellent bed and pillows, you will sleep well. Prominent and convenient location nearby many eateries, clothing shops, and beauty supply stores. The shower was nice, but the bathroom amenities were lacking for a 4 star hotel. No toothbrush. The hotel has an excellent view, but you might find many of the flashing billboards distracting at night time. There are several options for eating rather affordably in the building including a decent cafe and lotteria 24 hour burger restaurant on the ground floors.

I absolutely love staying at L7 Hongdae and always choose it whenever I’m in Korea. The location is unbeatable — the station is extremely close and conveniently connected to multiple subway lines, making it so easy to get around Seoul. The hotel itself is clean, modern, and has a really nice, comfortable feel. Hongdae is right at your doorstep, with so many cafes, shops, restaurants, and things to explore nearby, which makes the stay even better. Overall, it’s a reliable favourite of mine and I wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again. Highly recommend for anyone wanting convenience, comfort, and a great location.

I stayed at L7 Hongdae from 20 - 25 Feb 2025 as a solo female traveler. The location of the hotel is PERFECT - right in the middle of Hongdae and just a short walk away from the main street, subway, and bus stop. I could easily access my room to drop off all my shopping bags before setting off again for more. If you’re coming from Incheon Airport, be sure to buy a ticket for Bus 6002. It is about a 45-minute ride from the airport to the Hongdae bus stop and this saves you the hassle of having to handle your luggage on the AREX train. Likewise, you can also take this bus in the opposite direction to get back to the airport at the end of your trip. L7 Hongdae is just another 5-minute walk from the bus stop. The hotel was clean, safe and comfortable, with a luxurious feel, despite the affordable price. Most of the staff were also multilingual and super friendly. I would definitely stay here again in the future! The only downside was that because Hongdae is a busy street at all hours, the noise does travel upwards easily. I stayed on the 11th floor and the sound of cars honking carried up to me even with the window closed. However, that’s not something within the hotel’s control and I’m not too sensitive to noise in my sleep - hence the 5 stars! Thank you, L7 Hongdae, for the wonderful accommodation!

I stayed at L7 Hongdae by Lotte recently and really liked the location. It’s right in the middle of Hongdae, close to shops and cafes — very convenient if you want to explore the area. However, the room was quite small for three adults. It felt tight, especially with luggage, and there wasn’t much space to move around. The room might be better suited for one or two people. The staff was friendly, and the hotel was clean and modern. Just keep in mind that the room size might be an issue if you’re traveling in a group.

Stayed for 3 nights in early Jan 2024. Highly recommend! We aimed to find a well-rated hotel with convenient location and L7 was the best choice for us. It is around a 3 minutes walk from Hongdae Metro Stn Exit 1(with escalators, though they are a bit narrow) and Hongdae Bus Stn, so it was easy to transport to places. Direct transfer between Hongdae Stn and Incheon Airport by AREX available. Price was slightly higher than average for Seoul, but was reasonable since this was a standard 4-star hotel. The concierge was very helpful and spoke very fluent English, so there was no language barrier. Staff upgraded us to a room on the higher level where the street view was amazing. The concierge also helped us to store our luggage after our check-out till night. Concierge told us there was a construction going on nearby so there would be some noise at night, however we did not hear any noise. Sound insulation was quite good too. They provide earbuds if needed at the counter. The cleaning staff was friendly too. They provided us with extra towels and complimentary bottled water, despite us stating no need for room service. They do provide bottled water every night, but there is a water and ice machine at every floor so you can refill water. There are a few laundry machines and dryers at the 5th floor next to the gym, so for those staying longer, you can wash your clothes. Cash only but they provide an exchange machine to change to 500 won coins. For tourists, there is a machine to purchase and top up their travel card and exchange money at the concierge. The rates are quite good. Very convenient if you want to go shopping anytime. The room was well furnished. All the furniture looked well preserved though this hotel has been operating for some years. It’s not very spacious, but me and my friend could open two big suitcases simultaneously and still had some space left. Bed was very comfortable and curtains efficiently blocked out light. The only downsides were that the waiting for the lift was a bit long. Note that L7 Hongdae does not provide disposable amenities and personal hygiene products, but some of them could be purchased at the concierge counter. Understandable because they want to be eco-friendly, so if you need personal hygiene products, I recommend purchasing them at a convenience store nearby. Overall, I highly recommend L7 Hongdae to those who are coming to Seoul. If I visit Seoul again, L7 Hongdae will definitely be my choice again!

It was a good sized room and had a large window which really made it feel more spacious. Very responsive customer service, excellent location within easy walking distance of many happening spots in hongdae. The best part was the lobby chill area with a pool table - a comfortable area to gather if travelling in a larger group or to hang if your flight is after check out. Overall, an excellent experience and I'll definitely be back!

Great location, fast check-in. There are self-service lockers with passcodes, so you don’t have to worry about your belongings being lost. Bathroom amenities are fully provided—you don’t need to bring anything yourself. There is a parking area behind the hotel. Calling a taxi is very convenient, with a designated waiting/parking spot. Behind the hotel there is an e-mart and a delicious grilled pork restaurant. Famous grilled pork places are also within walking distance.

The staff were very polite and friendly, which made our stay pleasant. The location is excellent — the front entrance opens directly onto the main street, while the back entrance leads to a convenience store, which was very convenient. The property is also close to a metro station exit with an escalator, as well as an airport bus stop. The place was clean and well maintained. Overall, a great stay.

We used to stay at Holiday Inn Express which is at the end of Red Road, Hongdae, all the time. This is a great alternative, maybe even better at almost the same price point. Location is much closer to all the acitivites in Hongdae. Very clean, staff easy to talk to, and has several amenities other hotels overlook like- activiites for guests. Our son especially liked the billards table by the lounge.

The location is perfect! Close to everything. However, i’m not sure will i come back just for the facilities. First, the toilet: it’s a separate shower-toilet, but the sink is SO SMALL, there is barely space to put your skincare and makeup, it’s more like a 1 person use, whenever i wash my hand, the water just splashes everywhere due to the lack of depth; second, the TV: it’s just a TV not a smart TV, like… they could do better; third, the window: heads up, everyone can see you VERY CLEARLY from the street and opposite, so make sure to close that curtain when you get changed or so; fourth, the facilities: very small refrigerator - could only put 2-3 small drinks, sofa chairs are very uncomfortable to sit on.

From Incheon Aiport, take the all stop train, get off at Hongik University stop, leave through Exit 1. This is the closest to the hotel- very convenient! Convenience store is at the back of the hotel, maybe 50 meters to the right, by the corner. Check in is at the 21stF. Stayed at the hotel for 4 nights with a friend. Emailed the hotel for some enquiries prior to staying there and got very fast response from them. On the day when checked in, the staff at counter was helpful and kind to arrange a room accommodated to our request. Nice gesture of them to have prepared some welcome snacks and drinks in the room for guests. But one really bad experience was that on the 1st day we checked in, when i used the face towel (the side facing us)on my face then realised the side of towel facing the wall was very dirty with big brown stain and some brown red looked like blood or lipstick. It was so horrible. Likely it was used and not washed then the cleaners just folded it in a way the dirty side was facing the wall. Called the front desk reg this matter. They apologised and sent over new towels. No explanation. Hotel is only a few mins walk from subway exit 1. There was a Lotteria next door opened until v late so we were able to grab some burgers there on one late night when other restaurants were all closed. There is a cold and hot water dispenser at the passageway near our room so it was very convenient to fill up our water bottles and we didn't need to boil water with kettle. Comfortable beds. The noise from street didn't bother us much as we were tired from the trip and fell asleep well. The glass door at shower was a bit defective that it couldn't close completely. For the rate we paid, i feel the cleanliness was not up to standard. And personally i dont find much values to stay at hotels in Hong Dae (hotels here are generally more expensive) except the convenience to travel to and from airport.

The hotel is very comfortable to stay at, and the staff are really kind. You can easily call a jumbo taxi from the hotel to the airport, which I find very convenient for people who don’t want to carry their luggage around or don’t feel like taking the bus or train. The food options around the hotel are also excellent.

We stayed one night at L7 in two rooms with each room comfortably holding 3 guests. The rooms were a bit small but were fine. My kids described the hotel as “boujee”. The location was perfect for us and the outlets had built in North American adapters which was great

The location is fantastic, making it easy to explore the area, while the cleanliness and facilities are top-notch, ensuring a comfortable stay. The stagf were friendly and attentive. Sleep quality was good and the hot water was reliable, though the room size could have been slightly more spacious for comfort. Wi-Di worked well throughout, providing a seamless connection during the visit.
Stayed here our last two nights in Seoul. Loved the location, comfortable bed, and welcome drinks/snacks. Wish I had known there would be an extra charge for the pool. It was also louder than I would have liked-- could hear noise from outside (despite being on a high floor) as well as noise from guests in other rooms (people coming and going, a crying baby, etc).
I book this hotel very last minute.. literally less than 2 hours before checking-in to the hotel. Although the price was high due to last min booking.. but the location is good. Everything is just few mins walk.. There were a lot of people staying in the hotel going in and out but it doesn’t affect us at all, the soundproof of the room was okay and the waiting time of the lift was not long as well. The check in process was fast and there were some snacks and welcome drinks given to us. Even though the room is not big but it’s sufficient for us with two big luggage. Room was clean and Bathroom was good, no toothbrushes but it doesn’t affect us cox we have prepared the toiletries. Nothing to complaint! Will definitely come back again to L7

Hotel was accommodative to request for multiple rooms to be close together. There are washing machines available for diy laundry. There is also a free gym in this hotel for some workout. Overall it's a good hotel and I had a good stay. Would recommend.

Hotel is located at Hongdae area, walking distance from Hongik University station. Good location. However, space in the room is limited. The bed is placed on platform hence it feels very low and close to ground. And the bed feels very near to the basin area. The area to place luggage is only below TV and the table provided is small. Not much space to sit and eat. Room is dusty, could see dust on the walls and for the basin, the silicon has mould on it. The room service did not clean the basin too. They replaced bedroom slippers, towels, vacuum floor, and tidied the bed. Coffee sachets were not topped up daily (might be dependent on who’s the cleaning person on duty that day). When asked if there’s other rooms to upgrade to, they only have Suite room available on certain dates and the cost to top-up is a lot more compared to the online prices (called it as ‘walk-in’ price). Would recommend if you want a good location and not fussy about space and cleanliness.

Location is really good, just a 2 min walk to Exit 1 of Hongik station and right above Line Friends Store. Service was exceptional and when we put the "Do not disturb" sign, the cleaning staff would place a notice to let us contact the front desk if we require cleaning services at our own convenience. The cleaning ahjumma at our level was so adorable and welcoming that she kept shooting finger hearts at us 😍😍. Coin laundry is available at Level 5, which was really convenient too! Would love to come back again next time! 🥰

The hotel is really clean and convenient, but the bathroom products (particularly the body wash) and the pillow are some of the worst I've used. Sleeping on the pillow feels like sleeping on a rubbish bag

After staying a few times in L7 Myeongdong, I decided to change to L7 Hongdae but the hotel did not impress me except the location. The staff was not as friendly and helpful. I stayed 5 nights with my teenage daughter. Upon check out, I requested front desk to store my luggage for a few hrs before my flight. To my surprise, they asked me to go to this locker room to key in for a locker with a pass code. N I was supposed to store my 3 luggage in some metal locker on the upper tier as the lower tier lockers were all occupied. I was shocked to know that I hv to lift my 20kg luggage up above a 1 m ht for storage and decided to ask for help . But the front desk staff gestured that she cannot help and then decided to bring my luggage to another storage room near front desk. Which is usually the case for most hotels. Till today I still cannot forget the incident. I am puzzled why the hotel provided 2 tier metal lockers for hotel guests to store heavy n big luggage. I paid for 5 nights of accommodation and still hv to lift my luggage up without help? I have spine issues and I believe many guests even without health conditions will have problems lifting heavy luggage above 1m fr ground level. I seriously think the hotel shld relook at this arrangement and only allow guests with small manageable luggage to use these metal lockers if space is a constraint. Do also consider that the staff may get injured one day for helping the guests with luggage storage. So I understand why the ladies refused to help me to protect themselves.

Super location for food, shopping and sight seeing. We stayed there many times! Will stay again for our future visit!
Recommend
Excellent location, 2min walk to subway station. Surrounded by many popular shopping spots e.g. Musinsa Standard, Apple, Olive Young and also many popular food places. I visited during high seasons i.e. K-pop concert and cherry blossom. So, the price was steep and i cant say that during my visit this hotel was value for money for this specific time. But if I have a plan to visit Seoul next time, i will book this hotel again.
I guess it happens to all good hotels on the Main Streets, the area is so loud at night.

“Only one complaint”
The room was nice and it was located in a very good spot where shops and malls were within walking distance. The receptionist was also nice and patient. But my only complaint was that when the room was being cleaned our trash cans were not emptied even though they were full which was a bit annoying.
