Bra bungalows med trevlig personal. Rent och snygg”
Mycket bra ställe med lite avstånd till nattlivet. Lugnt och skönt
mycket lugnt och mycket fin trädgård”
Staff very friendly and helpful.”
The individual bungalows are located very nice and quiet upon a hill, surrounded by nature. There is no easy walk from your bungalow to the beach. You have to leave La Mer Samui and use a road next to the property. There is no seaview from La Mer Samui. The bungalows are ok, the staff very friendly and helpful, the free breakfast is good. La Mer Samui is a nice place to stay.
Fantastic hotel! Room was clean and cosy. ”
Simply great & value for money. Although they dont have their own access to the beach, it wasnt a big deal. But some improvements can be made to the pool. It didnt look too clean although we did swim for 2 days in it. Broken titles found in the water. Apart from these it was ok. The other is the fact the reception closes at 8pm. Abit of extension, say till 11pm would have been nice. Other than that, great hotel, clean rooms, fantastic hotel staff and lush green gardens! I will bring my family there again next year.
We love staying at Lamer, and will hopefully do it again. The staff was super friendly and accommodating. Our was super nice with a nice view of day garden. And only 500 feet from the beach. The pool was a very nice feature as well. He certainly hope to return!
Stayed there for 3 nights. Everything was good except they have safe boxes on reseption only and reseption works till 6 p.m. And the closest beach was dirty (in Jan) so we went to Lamai (20 minute walk) which was good.
Great place and friendly staff.”
i think that if we could have our holiday again i would stay at la mer a few extra nights. initially, it seemed a bit far from everything but it is a very pretty little place and there is a beach just around the corner. the other famous beaches lamai and chawang are only a 5 minute motorbike ride away (i highly recommend hiring one!) the room was clean and nice...great value for money! the swimming pool is also very nice and surrounded by nice scenery. the staff are all very nice and helpful. the included breakfast was fantastic too and is also highly recommended!
great location, small price, very nice staff”
very nice staff, very helpfull. the hotel only has appartments, small, but nice and just big enough. no neighbours, al appartments are single build. that's very nice. the beds are a very hard, not comfortable. the bathroom and toilet are oke but not great. breakfast is cooked fresh just for you! all in all a good place worth our money. the service for bringing you to the airport is expensive, better to get a taxi.
Best beach on Koh Samui”
We loved our stay at La Mer and actually came back after spending a few days at the resort next door. Even though the resort is not on the beach, it is only an easy 100 meters walk through the resort next door, and you will be on the most beautiful little bay on the island. La Mer is located between Chaweng and Lamai centre, so it is fairly quiet with no bars around. It's only a 5 minute scooter ride to get to either towns. The rooms are basic but very clean and quite spacious. There is free in-room wifi however it is difficult to pick it up if you're staying at the back of the resort. The staff was super lovely, especially the girl at the front desk. She always greeted us with a big smile and was very helpful. The breakfast is quite good with lots of choice (a la carte). You can always order more if you want. Scooter hire is available at 200 baht/24 hours and same day laundry is 50 baht. The clientele is 30s to 50s with a few small children, overall very quiet as everyone is in bed by 10pm. We would definitely come back here.
le mer samiu resort is an absolutely stunning resort with beautiful detached bungalows surronded by nice senery.the rooms were spotless, fresh and spacious.the staff were very helpful and cheery and nothing was to much trouble for them.the swimming pool was clean and just a stones throw from my front door.i would recomend this resort to anybody and i will deffinatly be staying there again as it was one of the highlights of my holiday been able to wake up in such a nice place
A beautiful and clean hotel”
All of the rooms in this hotel are bungalow with one bedroom and rest room. It's located at Maret (near Lamai beach) Room is clean and equipped with tv, wifi, refridgerator, air cond, water heater. Receptionist is friendly.
Really lovely place!”
we lived in two bungalows. excellent landscape design, clean and pretty big pool. stuff is polite and always ready to help. very close to the beach and really good restaurants. at the same time far from night life noise. car rental office in the next building. you can rent toyota for three days for $ rooms are standard for this price, also clean and in most popular style. classic breakfast with no frills. best value for money in july. lovely place for great family vacation. will return next year. free wi-fi with good speed.
Service with a constant smile in a quiet location”
We moved here from literally, over the road to extend our stay at this quiet oasis that was still in truck taxi distance of the bright lights of Lamai. These bungalows are set back from the beach behind the Promstuk Buri resort, across a gravel car park -so easy access through he resort to the beach-only 5 minutes walk. The resort itself has a small -largely unused pool -which we enjoyed for a change-and a couple of rows of bungalows going up a very gentle slope. Bungalows were in good order and breakfast served at reception was good -staff could'nt do enough.
The images and everything else on agodq has no link to the reality. I”
This place is completely diffeeent to what is shown online . The most important is that the property in not on the beach despite the images . Also no one speaks English . Rooms are extremely basic ( it's too expensive for what it is). Beds are hard rock and the place in this peak season ( end August) is dead.
Great, Just great”
It was one of The highlights of samui, perfect location, great beach, great italian restaurant 50m away. Love it
very good, lovely area around the bungalows, nice pool, not to far from the bars at lamai..
It was ok”
We wanted to stay at the Crystal Yaught Club but it was fully booked so we booked this instead so the location being close to Crystal Beach was convenient and Crystal Beach is good for small kids as it's small and shallow. The breakfast was good, and good coffee, the staff friendly and welcoming. However, the room is dated and needs renovation, the headboard had a hole in it and the table was broken. The TV had no kids cartoons, and was all in Thai, and had a poor reception. The bed was really hard and the pillows so I didn't sleep well. The location is on the road also so there is contant traffic when eating in the restaurant and when in the pool. Very strong chlorine in the pool. No security and no tea/coffee in the room. Crystal beach was also disappointing and a bit dirty. Samui has outpriced itself for what it can deliver. There are other areas in Thailand much cleaner and better value for money.
nice an peaceful”
Our stay was good, nice pool beautiful gardens, quiet an peaceful holiday a small beach is only 150mtrs walk you probably need to hire a scooter for this place as you'll need transport oh an the beds are as hard as a rock but the rooms are ok size but mozzies run riot a little bit so have the coils burning an a can of bug spray handy massive gekko's come out at night an stick to the side of the bungalows witch is pretty cool not a bad joint
Quiet and clean”
The hotel is small and clean. It's a little outside of Lamai so nothing for nightlife seekers or those who need entertainment. There is a small stretch of beach close by but the waves were quite strong (December) and there is not much on that beach (some restaurants and massage places). The hotel pool is good but only a few sunbeds are available. All in all nice place for a few quiet nights.
Too many issues - stay elsewhere”
This is a hard review to write because there is a lot to like about this hotel, but we ended up having a pretty negative experience. I'll summarize it with the good, the bad, and the ugly. The ugly: We were one of the unfortunate souls arriving on the island on a fairly late flight from Bangkok. We took a van from the airport and were dropped off at about 10pm. As several other posters have mentioned, the owners close the reception area early. They make no mention of this fact during the booking process and leave no way to get ahold of them when you arrive. After ringing the bell and walking around the property to no avail, I walked over to the hotel next door, but their reception was also closed. I ended up walking the other way down the street hoping to find someone who knew the family. I happened upon some Thais doing some construction work on the business next door and, out of kindness and concern, offered to help us call the number . Unfortunately they couldn't get the number to work. After another 30+ minutes of wandering aimlessly, I picked up my suitcase and headed in the direction of Chaweng, hoping to find an open hotel. As I was passing nearby hotel, I noticed a person smoking in the shadows. I explained our situation and he promptly called the owners. They sent someone to let us into our room about 10 minutes later, leaving her to explain that they were "at a party". Beyond that, we never received an explanation or an apology for what ended up being a rather frustrating and - at times - scary evening. The bad: The owners don't seem to speak very good English and they were never very warm towards us. Our hostess finally cracked a smile on the last day, I think. The rooms are also pretty quirky. Our first room had a door that wouldn't lock or even fully close, so were moved after fiddling with it for about 15 minutes. Our other rooms had various other problems: linens were stained or smelled unclean, water pressure in sink was poor, wi-fi
