(Belatedly, with 100% positive ratings) I stayed at the Lakeshore Hotel Suao a couple months ago, and it was an unforgettable experience! The hotel is situated in a beautiful location with breathtaking views of the harbor and surrounding mountains, making it the perfect getaway for relaxation and scenery. The rooms were spacious, modern, and incredibly comfortable, with all the amenities you could need. I especially loved the attention to detail in the decor, as well as the large windows that offered an amazing view to wake up to each morning. The staff went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. They were attentive, friendly, and always willing to assist with any requests we had. From check-in to check-out, the service was flawless. Another highlight was the breakfast buffet, which featured a wide range of delicious options to suit all tastes. Everything was fresh and well-prepared, making it a great start to our day. The hotel also has excellent facilities, including a fitness center and pool, which we made great use of. Overall, Lakeshore Hotel Suao exceeded our expectations in every way. We booked a family room, which was incredibly spacious at 33 sqm. The bathroom featured a built-in hot and cold spring tub, allowing us to enjoy a relaxing soak in the comfort of our own privacy. The room had a strong Wi-Fi signal, and the TV offered a good variety of programs. The hotel has a small pool and an indoor area on the rooftop facing the sea, perfect for watching the sunrise in the morning. Unfortunately, we couldn't view the sunrise due to cloudy weather during our stay. There's also a gym in the basement equipped with three treadmills and two cycling machines. One of the most delightful surprises was the breakfast spread. It was fabulous, offering a variety of local foods and Western pastries. My family was spoiled for choice! There are several eateries and convenience stores, including Family Mart and 7-Eleven, within walking distance. Overall, this hotel is highly recommended for families visiting Suao, Yilan.

Although we only stay for 1 night, check in process was smooth and easy. The reception was very friendly and polite. He did offer an upgrade of the room (with minimal extra cost) from one private hot bath to two baths (one cold and one hot). Money well spent and we were so glad that we have the option to pay the extra for the upgrade. Room was spacious and did offer a river view. Welcome drink was nice and can be taken back to the room. Gym room wasn't big but can accommodate around 10 people at the basement level. The hotel has an infinity pool at the top floor which has an amazing view of Su'ao. We didn't have a chance to use as it was raining the whole day. We did however see the sunrise from the top reading room early next morning. Make sure you go there a bit earlier before the sunrise time to secure the seats to take the best shots/video, otherwise you will need to stand. Buffet breakfast was the highlight of the stay. One of the best buffet breakfast that you can enjoy. Lots of varieties and you can even eat until 13:00. Taiwanese food, western food, lots of drinks options, bread, condiments, main dish, breakfast items, dessert, sorbet... Really well worth the money even if you did not book the room with complimentary breakfast. Plenty of carpark spaces in 2 basements levels (first come first serve). Overall, one of the best hotel that we stay in Taiwan. Good value for money with excellent service, facilities and tasty buffet breakfast. Will definitely book the hotel room again from your hotel group in other locations next time we visit Taiwan.

Walking distance from Su'ao Train Station. The hotel is excellent. Room was big and clean, beds are comfy. The hotel provides two tubs in the room so you can have a hot and cold spring bath. There is a small infinity pool and Jacuzzi at the rooftop. We got a good deal that included free breakfast (that has the longest breakfast timing I have seen, from 6.30am to 1.30pm) and free alcohol night, which made the room even more value for money. All in all, a really beautiful hotel, no complaints. Would recommend if looking for somewhere quiet.

“Fantastic Family Stay with Incredible Views and Amenities!”
Our first stay at Lakeshore Hotel Suao was absolutely wonderful and left us with fantastic memories as a family. The hotel’s location by the water is stunning, offering beautiful views that set a relaxing and scenic backdrop for our trip. It’s the perfect spot for both relaxation and adventure. From the moment we arrived, the hotel staff were warm, welcoming, and extremely attentive. They helped us settle in with ease, making sure everything was comfortable for the entire family. Our room was spacious, spotless, and had everything we needed, along with floor-to-ceiling windows showcasing the lovely harbor view, which everyone in the family enjoyed. The kids especially loved the pool, while we appreciated the well-equipped fitness center and comfortable lounge areas. Breakfast each morning was a highlight, with a wide selection of tasty and fresh options that catered to both kids and adults alike. What really made this stay special was the family-friendly atmosphere. The staff went out of their way to accommodate our needs, and the amenities made it easy for everyone to have a great time. We felt right at home, and the kids are already asking when we can come back!
