Charming little hotel!”
Charming little hotel! The Junior Suite was very nice (best bed ever!) and the regular room also good. Pleasant morning buffet on the patio, and a cool pool to take the edge off the Chiang Mai heat. Not the best location, but the quiet makes up for it. Really sweet staff.
Lord of the ring themed hotel.”
Stayed in the deluxe double room for 4 nights last week . It is in the old city about 10 - 15 mins walk to Rachadamnoen Road (where Sunday market and Tha Phae Gate are located). There is one elevator. Very useful for those with heavy luggages. The room was clean. Breakfast was served from 6.30am - cereal, hot food, pastries, eggs of your choice, fruits and salad. Try the homemade orange jam! It was so good!! All the receptionists are helpful. They helped us find a private driver to go places. They even helped us pay for our laundry first because we were out all morning when somebody sent our clean clothes back to the hotel.
Deluxe double - small for 3 but great stay otherwise”
Booked deluxe with additional twin cot for 3 adults. Room was tight fit but had great location, near 3 7-11s, AC was cold and shower had good water pressure. Bathroom was not AC so could get warm and there were a few mosquitos in the room but appreciated the nicely scented toiletries and room keys for each person. Saw several families eating here and using pool but didn’t have a chance to do that
Would definitely stay here again, great location on a quiet side street within walking distance to many attractions, clean room, friendly and helpful staff, and good breakfast. Then only negative I could add would be the pool was so cold! Other than that, great stay.
Beautiful boutique hotel”
Beautifully designedly hotel with a nice restaurant and small pool on prem. A little off the beaten track which means it’s quiet. 5 minutes walk from the main temples and twenty to the main pub streets. Very friendly staff. We ate once at the hotel and it was good quality food. I would probably come back if I make it to Chiang Mai again.
My mum and I stayed here for a couple of nights. The place is amazing. The building is beautiful and with a small pool to cool off in after a hot day. The location is good as it is walking a distance of the city centre and the night markets. The staff were excellent and very laid back.
very nice hotel in a quiet neighborhood in Chiang Mai. The staff are incredibly nice and helpful. The restaurant serves very good food and the breakfast is perfectly OK. The only negative is that the bed is incredibly hard, it was almost like lying on the floor.
This boutique hotel had such a charm to it. It is located in the old city, which means you can walk to fabulous temples, coffee shops, dining and massages. We found the staff to be exceptionally friendly. The included breakfast didn’t carry a large variety, but had plenty to get your day started on the right foot. We did use the pool after a hot day. It was exceptionally refreshing. We are Canadian so perhaps that is why we were daring to brave the chill. The room was clean, but had a basic interior. It was a comfortable nights sleep.
Great staff and location ”
Our room was amazing and constantly kept up by the house cleaning staff. We were able to check in early with no problems. The included breakfast was delicious as well. Staff was super helpful and made calls for all of our tours/appointments. We had a late flight and asked to check out later, but they were booked. Thankfully, the staff was kind enough to hold onto our luggage while we explored Chiang Mai some more. The only problem was the shower tended to get water everywhere on the floor and made things super messy but we understand it was the design that was the problem really.
We loved our stay at Le Charcoa, perfect location everything is close by, the staff are very friendly and help you with anything you need! The rooms were great and kept clean would highly recommend a stay here!!
A model boutique hotel with a splendid choice of breakfast delights. ”
A great hotel and a pleasure to stay there I easy walking or in our case cycling distance from the sights. My only minor reservation was that with all the frsh bread and pastry I would prefer local Thai coffee to nescafe.
What a little gem this is”
Walk to anywhere, want for nothing. Staff always greet with a smile and kind words, always want to do something for you. Beds where clean and comfortable. What a gem of a small boutique hotel but with totally affordable rooms. I can’t recommend enough
Wonderful place to stay in Chiang Mai. Can’t wait to come back! ”
This hotel exceeded our expectations. Not only were the staff extremely nice and helpful, but they would call and schedule things for us and tell us exactly what we needed to do. The room itself was large, clean, and perfect for a few days in Chiang Mai. Breakfast was included and delicious. This was also within perfect walking distance to anything in the old city. For the money, you can’t get much better than this!
Fantastic hotel, very helpful and friendly staff.”
Lovely quiet location but close to many hotspots such as the Sunday market and lots of beautiful temples. This was my first visit to Thailand, staying in China Town for three nights with lots of hustle and bustle but magnificent, then moving on to a more relaxed Chiang Mai at the Charcoa hotel for eight nights. The hotel had a lovely feel to it. Breakfast was also very good, lovely choice of omelettes plus much more buffet style food too. If you can’t he bothered to venture far on a night you can eat in the restaurant or order a pizza. Rooms were immaculate and spacious. The maid was great too. There is a small pool which is kept clean and perfect to cool off from the heat. We did a couple of trips from the hotel which were amazing. In particular the visit to Chaing Rai which included the white temple, the hot springs, lunch in a lovely restaurant off the beaten track and a visit to the golden triangle which included a boat trip down the Mekong river. I would definitely recommend.
非常超值員工非常熱心！Best Hotel Ever!! ”
The staffs are nice, the beds are tidy, the environment is super clean and the breakfast is amazing! Everything looks new and modern. Love the location, we walked everywhere on foot. We've joined their day trip, highly recommended. My mom and I had a wonderful stay here.
Bathroom needs work. Quiet and comfortable. Good breakfast.”
If my opinion matters, do consider taking down all your threats of monetary penalty notices in the room; such practice is not hospitality. Instead, have all your guests sign and acknowledge, upon checking in, a list of prohibitions, and corresponding penalties for non-compliance. As a traveller on vacation, seeing these signage in the room felt restrictive; it felt like I was intruding into a private home. Another area for your consideration would be to have a remote controller for the air-conditioning system in the room. If the panel on the wall shows only the room temperature but does not allow adjustment, it is not comfort. I was told that I needed to move the dressing table stool and climb up to adjust the temperature of the air-conditioner, or ring for the front desk; this is not comfort and hospitality. As a person of a shorter stature and a solo-traveller, what if I sustain a serious fall in the room while climbing up to the air-conditioning unit and no one comes to my help? The room’s temperature was at 28 degree Celsius. Also, the sanitary spray next to the WC churned out horrid smelling, sewage-like water that went all over my private part I needed to clean it quickly. Again, this is unacceptable and unnecessarily inconvenient for me as it happened after I’ve had my shower and was preparing for sleep. A cosy and cute-looking property that requires some work to commensurate with the room rate that you’re charging. Thank you.
Loved this hotel! ”
Small quirky hotel with very tentative staff. The beds were quite hard so asked them to make it softer. No problems for them. It was my 30th birthday while we were here and I got given a slice of chocolate cake which was a lovely touch! The breakfast was amazing as it was all homemade and yummy. They have lovely homemade honey! We also had dinner one night which was also lovely. The staff were very friendly and even offered to warm up our curries we had made on a cooking course for us. Very clean hotel and wished we stayed longer as chiang mai is amazing!!!
Great place tucked in on an alley in the Old City. Super easy access to shopping, wat's, night markets, the airport and outlying hills and activities. Staff was always friendly and accommodating. The bed was a bit extra firm for my liking. I would stay there again if I was in the area. Safe travels!
Perfect stay in Chiang Mai. The Hotel i located right in the middle of Old City but in quiet street, so you can sleep good. It is close to temples, red taxi cabs, god massage, food and everything you need to see. Staff always ready to help, and the hotel is very clean. We would stay there again!!!
The worst hotel I ever stay, no hot water for shower without any advance inform”
It is in dark corner, not good if walk in night without accompany. Close to Wat Phra Singh temple, but heading road only available for small car and red taxi. I stayed in count down day, when I was back to hotel by 12:20am, I was told inside no hot water: my query is why cannot inform it in advance when check-in, or ask to solve it by whole noon and evening time?? Only reply with “sorry”..Not a good way to provide a comfortable stay. Hope they can improve room service better!
