We had an wonderful stay at this hotel and I want to especially commend the room attendant. She is incredibly helpful and always makes sure we have enough supplies like water, and she responds very quickly to any requests we have. Her attentiveness truly made our stay more comfortable. The check-in/out process was smooth and hassle-free, which we really appreciated. Additionally, the butlers were very friendly and professional when bringing our bags from the taxi to our room, adding a personal touch to our experience. The location of the hotel is perfect, being conveniently close to must-visit places, making it easy for us to explore and enjoy the city. Although is just a 3 atar hotel, it was very good. Between 3-5 minutes from Metro station, Airport bus station, DMZ travel bus, 7eleven, smoking place 😀. And of you like to walk, close to some of the main attractions in the city: Myeongdong Night Market, Bukchon Hanok Village, Gyeongbokgung Palace and many others. The hotel is clean, has restaurant at ground floor, comfortable beds and pillows, European sockets. I haven't interact too much with the receptionists, so i can't say too much. But overall, good choice for a resonable budget!!! Thanks New Seoul Hotel!

I stayed here because I was going to attend events at Sejong Cultural Center and Gwanghwamun Square. The location is near enough that I can walk there but a little bit off path that we're not disturbed if there are rallies or protests. Room was fairly spacious especially for a solo traveler but might be just right for a couple. Shout out to the cleaning lady at my floor (12th), she was really nice and would make sure I get my supplies before I go out (note: for those who opt a 'do not disturb' sign, they will leave your daily water, towel and mat replacements in an ecobag)

Booked 2 rooms here for a 2n/3d trip over New Years Eve. Location was quiet, super convenient, and super close to subway and other transit. The palace, gwanghwamun square, the lantern festival, myeongdong shopping.. it was all within a 10 minute walk away. The location is super! As for the hotel, check in was a breeze. Rooms were spacious, and facility was very clean. The staff was friendly and super hospitable. Not a single bad interaction. It's now my #1 go-to hotel. I highly recommend for solo travelers or big groups! I would definitely stay here again.

The hotel room was spacious, enough to open two big luggage on the floor. The room was clean, and they provided bottled water. We stayed on 12th floor, the cleaning lady was amazing! She was doing a great job and she was very friendly and polite. The hotel was located near City Hall subway station, it has airport bus that goes directly from and to the airport which is very convenient. There’s also buses and subways that can take us to all the tourist places. I would recommend.

The air conditioning only operates when the outdoor temperature exceeds 20°C, so it never functioned during our stay, leaving our room at an uncomfortable 28°C. When we raised this with reception, we were advised to open the window, but this wasn’t a practical solution due to significant noise from nearby construction and traffic, as there are multiple building sites surrounding the hotel. The only alternative offered was a portable fan. As a result, the room remained uncomfortably warm and made it difficult for us to sleep. The hotel stored our luggage which was helpful.
So I would like to premise this by saying that the hotel staff were such professionals and amazing. I had an emergency situation and they helped me out to the best of their ability. The hotel was close to transportation and honestly walkable to all the places we wanted to go to. Our room was cleaned everyday which was really nice. Bed quality could be better, but it was comfortable enough. Would stay here again.

The hotel had central heating while we were there. Our room without window is extremely warm as we could not adjust the AC temperature. The staff offered us a fan which helped. Still stuffy at times. Bed was hard & pillows too soft. Other than these, the hotel is excellent. Clean, staff helpful, convenient location (3min walk to the airport busstop & City Hall subway). Many eateries nearby. Great cafe on the ground floor.

We stayed here for 5 days. It says its in Myeongdong but it is much closer to City Hall. Myeongdong itself it is a bit further. It is walkable about 20 mins or so but also easily with uber. Surrounding there was convinient stores , restaurants and cafes. Hotel have this beautiful cafe that has amazing bakeries, food and coffee. Staff spoke English well and was friendly and helpful. Hotel was pretty basic but nice and clean. Beds was a bit soft to my liking but still managed to get some sleep.

We really enjoyed our stay at New Seoul Hotel. The room was cleaned every day, which made it super comfortable. Located just steps from multiple subway lines and major attractions such as Deoksugung Palace and Cheonggyecheon Stream, this hotel offers excellent convenience. We stayed for 8 nights during the last week of June. Booked their Deluxe Triple Room for myself and my 3 teens. There was a queen bed and 2 singles. Bedding and mattresses were comfy, 2 pillows per pax. It looked as if the room was newly renovated, especially the bathroom. Strong water pressure and hot water on demand. Toilet had in-built bidet and dryer. Shampoo, conditioner and body wash and hand bar soap were provided. But due to their eco friendly policy, you will need to bring your own tooth brush and toothpaste. Vending machine at lobby also provides. Location was great. Walking distance to Palace, Myeongdong, Nandaemun. But their Naver map app is useful in navigating should you want to take bus or train instead of walk. Taxis are also affordable. Bottled water was replenished every day. Great service. Would come back again!

The hotel facilities are good. It’s 5 minutes from Myeongdong, and the airport limousine stop is very close. It was perfect for our short trip to Seoul!

The beds were quite small. Everything was in smaller version. But I appreciate the quality considering how much I paid for it. The hotel is old but clean and it had bathtub so I could relax for a while. So many restaurants in the area and nice places to visit and walk around. I would stay again if I have to make a short trip to Seoul. Overall, it was great😊

Thank you New Seoul Hotel! Perfect location, so easy to navigate as it is next to City Hall which is accessible to many other metro lines. It is our first time in Korea and because of our experience in this hotel, we will definitely come back. Special shout out to our Suseowon-nim, who took care of us-- always arranging my kids stuffed toys on the bed...truly superb service. Guests who stayed at 403 from 25-2 December - cheers to all the staff who have been helpful, from check in all the way to arranging for a transport for us at check out. Self- service laundry with minimal fee available which is very convenient, too.

The hotel area is very accessible to different transportation options- metro, bus, taxi. Walking distance to a number of tourist spots. The room for 4 is spacious and comfortable. All basic needs are addressed. Will stay here again in the future!

First time staying at this hotel. The room was spacious enough for four people to move around comfortably. It’s a short walk to Myeongdong, but we enjoyed strolling in the cold weather. The only downside was that there was just one washer and dryer available.

Hotel wasn't exactly in myeongdong but location is surrounded by businesses and landmarks. BUS stations are nearby. Room was great and beds were comfortable. They only do a general make up. They do not change the sheets once you check in. You're with same comforter. For us we didn't appreciate that. Room only had coffee, tea, shoes and shampoo, conditioner and body wash. All other amenities such as toothbrush, shaver, etc are no longer provided by the hotel. Instead there's a vending machine in the lobby for you to purchase. Staff were friendly and can speak English some. They were helpful when I needed directions. A plus was there was a self laundry room and shared kitchen up on 16th floor. But you have to use back elevator as front only goes up to 15th floor. I loved that it had a laundry room, made it convenient.

It is in the centre of most attraction. Getting everywhere is also very convenient. The place was clean and the staff was exceptionally nice. Even though I do not need housekeeping they will still put new towels outside my room in a bag for me to change. And also it for its price, there is a bath tub which is pretty amazing.

The price is a bit high but everything is good. Only one thing is the pillow are too soft, my ownself feel not comfortable. If give two pillow then good. 4 pax sharing room but not enough power plug to charge phone, need to take turn.

Hotel is easy to access with subway stations, bus stations near it. There are also nearby restaurants and just walking distance from department stores. Room is comfortable and complete. Would definitely stay here again.

Three days and two nights in this hotel, I booked three room in this hotel for 8 people after 4 days training in lncheon- late February 2024...to experience Myeondong night market, and Seoul city tour . To compare to other hotels. I don't see water dispenser (issued 1 bottle of water per person only), and no microwave, unlike others hotels I spent in Gimpo,.which has an area for the microwave and water dispenser every floor of the buildings (Its great help to traveller, who forget or tired in buying water outside the hotel). Affordable breakfast ,lunch & dinner available in the hotel . Love the spacious room and toilet with bath tub. Great location near Seoul tourist areas , trains station, taxi and bus stop. Olive young shop, convenience store, and others restaurants just few steps away. Great staff ! Thank you for making us feel so comfortable and welcome.
Staying one night for taking a test at Pearson next door. The room without window is cozy, both the room & bathroom are clean. Toiletries are provided for free when some hotels required guests to buy/ bring their own, so thats a plus. Location wise I can’t fault it, walking distance to Seoul station subway and of course Pearson building right next door. Plenty restaurants & cafes nearby. Reception staff’s friendly, check in & co process were handled smoothly. The hotel overall is not new but it’s kept nicely, everything is working well. If there’s one thing to improve is to minimize the noise coming from outside of our window, which quite disturbing & made me sleepless, but I’m a light sleeper (room 911). Can’t fault anything else, will certainly come back when we got the chance. Thanks for the hospitality!
For the Price i payed for this twin Single bed Room i wasnt disappointed, the location of the Hotel right out side Exit 4 City hall and was ideal and only 5-10 minute walk to Myeongdong was great , Hotel staf was Very Friendly and helpful even calling me a Taxi a couple of times as i wasnt used to Kakao Taxi app . Even the Room Cleaning lady on the 11th Floor was super friendly and helpful. i Hope You Recieved the Gift I left you in reception. The Hotel rooms were under revovation and our room looked like it needed it, there was wallpaper bubbled on the walls and the celling was drooping , hopfully it will be renovated soon, The room it self was good with a good shower and wash area. Overall Good stay but, Really expensive Laundry service and no coin laundry. I would Definately stay here again for my next visit but will probably pick a double bed room next time as the Singles i found very small and uncomfortable for me personally as i am a tall person.

We were a group of 3 and stayed for 12 days. The location is so good, it is near City Hall station and other stations so it was convenient to go around Seoul to and from there, also very near to Myeondong. It is decently clean, they try to housekeep everyday. The only problem we had during our stay was temperature in the room–it was irritatingly warm inside. Because of the cold weather, they disabled the airconditioning function, only fan and heater were available. While it was very cold outside, it wasn't cool in our room, 14th floor, and the fan function is also not very helpful. We kept our window open so the cold from outside can come in, but because of the window design, it only comes in a bit. I guess it would have been much comfortable if we wore summer pjs for sleeping, but that doesn't make sense cos of the weather. It could have been better, but it still was a decent stay overall.
Cleanliness of the. room was impeccable and the staff I came across were very friendly and helpful.

My kids and I enjoyed staying at this hotel. Very easy to access to take the subway, bus and a walk. Our room was good except the floor was not well cleaned. It was very quiet at night and the hotel itself was good. But when protest happened, it was so noisy and we could not rest at our room after looking around the area. It was almost noise pollution. The music protesters played was way louder. Honestly, I am not sure why they play the music. Another thing was there are lots of hotels in this area and the city hall does not consider tourists from the noise pollution and allow protest during the week from morning to evening. They were causing heavy traffic as well. We would like to stay at this hotel again if there is no noise but not sure if that will happen in the future.

A walking distance from Myeongdong district. However, near to city hall Subway and airport limo bus stop. Nearby hotel have a pretty big Oliveyoung, 7-11, macdonal n food shops. Still a good location. Need to take maybe 10 steps(design) before entrance. If you have heavy luggage ls or senior company, is a challenge. Hotel cleanliness acceptable. Just WIFI sometime, unstable. The hotel cleanliness is good. If you want to stay at a place with history and experience the culture then it’s ok. The place is a distance away from train station but it’s walkable underground which is alright. However, the place always have riots and it’s very scary. It’s a bit far from myeondong so it you want to go around myeondong then it’s not suitable. The worst thing is initially we book a room without window and the hotel mentioned since it’s near winter (we went during autumn, temperature around 11-16 in the morning) so no air conditional is allowed. I’m er are in a room without window and cannot turn on AC . This doesn’t make sense. It’s very stuffy . We decided to upgrade the room immediately and paid extra money for that. Disappointed with this part. We need to open the window during night time which is abit inconvenient as well because we have to change in toilet and always be aware not to be naked in the room since the window is open.

If you’re traveling with family and looking for a budget-friendly option, this hotel is definitely worth considering. The location is excellent, well-connected by metro, making it easy to get around Seoul. The staff were courteous and very helpful throughout our stay, which added to the overall positive experience. The only downside was the room size. We had booked two rooms (one for the kids), and even then, space was quite limited — a bit of a tight fit. That said, the convenience of the location more than made up for it. Myeongdong Street was just a 15-minute walk away, which was perfect for shopping and dining. Great value if you want to stay near central Seoul!

Our roomwas very spacious and convenient. Location was great, it's in the safest area but also quite, close to everywhere! Only thing that bothered me was smell. I understand it is a renovated but historic hotel but as a Korean who is from Seoul, I think it should be better. The lobby area smelled like 90s and the shower and the toilet as well... everything else was so clean so hope they improve the image of the hotel by taking good care of smell.

Our group had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The location was perfect, making it easy for us to explore the city. The Hotel’s strength is its location as mentioned by many reviews. Its close to the subway, airport limousine bus station, pubs, eateries, malls and shopping centers. Downside is that the room does not have aircon but only heater which sometimes makes it uncomfortable to sleep. When we requested the reception, we were told to just open the window. But its really not enough. I guess the same comment were given by many reviewers and that the hotel would just respond with a standard answer but nothing is really done about it. The reception staff are also very inflexible on request. But over-all the hotel, cleanliness and facilities are ok. Special mention to the lady cleaner in the 12th floor. She was really nice, accomodating and cheerful. How I wish the receptionists could learn from her!
The location of the hotel is near all tourist destinations. Walking distance from hotel to myeongdong, gyeongbokgung palace, stream, etc… The area is safe and quiet. The hotel room is big and enough for family of four but it is just a basic room just fine if you will just go out during the day and stay at night. The room is not cold during winter, heater is working fine. Only basic toiletries are provided. The male staff in the entrance is friendly and helpful and it would be nice if the front desk staff are friendly as well. The room is clean but cleanliness needs to be improved.

The hotel is ideally located close to the City Hall and main Seoul attractions, such as markets, North Seoul Tower and Temples. The room was small and there was not much natural light, but probably as good as anything you will get at this price point. Staff were helpful and spoke English. My only British is the hotel needs som decent blackout blinds in the rooms close to the hotel sinage as the light invaded our room somewhat. Overall though great value and would book again.

Stayed 2 nights in this hotel for pearson vue as it is just a minute/2 to get there. Reception staffs were very accommodating, professional and can speak english. The room is clean and it is maintained daily with your toiletries refilled/replaced. They have complimentary tea/coffee even shoe brushes🤩 but not microwave 🙂. I love the bed, so comfortable and relaxing. It is very accessible to any establishments you wished to be. Restaurants are just in every corner, so you won't be hungry 😁. 2-3 minutes walk to the City Hall. Was able to be into Gyeongbokgung Palace in just 10-15 minutes walk or less if you walk faster. Very near to bus stops as well.

With pay laundry on the upper floor, and big pantry to heat your food and provide ice and water. Breakfast buffet has limited options, but good and tasty. Great price for the location.

Very short walk from City Hall metro which is just one stop away from Seoul station where there’s arex to airport. Myeongdong and hongdae is also quite close by. The area is kind of like an office area so pretty quiet at night. For the price paid the room was great, there’s a window and the room is spacious for 2. The toilet, shower and sink is separated which is very convenient but the glass is slightly see through so you can almost see each other if using side by side. The room is cleaned daily and I accidentally left some money on the table in the morning but still came back to it untouched. Overall would choose to stay again if I come back to Seoul!

It is safe, streets are with bright lights, even if you go back late. Staff are super helpful, they can understand and speak english. Room is cleaned everyday even if you don’t put the ‘make up room’ sign. Towels are changed daily, toiletries and water are replenished daily. I had a pleasant stay here. Highly recommended!

The hotel is in a good location in Central Seoul, so most locations are accessible either by bus or subway. We got a triple deluxe room which was very spacious and more than enough for a group of three Our only complaint is that our room is one of the older rooms which uses a lot of carpeting, and even with daily room cleaning there still seemed to be some fine dust coming from the carpet, especially when all of us are moving about the room, or managing our luggage.
I love this hotel for its location, which walkable to 3 lines subway. It is very convenient. Near Mcd, Starbucks, BBQ chicken, and the stream, walkable to the palace. Not crowded with tourist as compare to Myeondong atea. Even though the hotel window don’t have view, and not as big as in the picture but accommodate 4 of us is enough.

New Seoul Hotel is the best choice for our trip in South Korea last September. We were greeted by their friendly and courteous concierge when we arrived in the evening. He helped us carry our luggages up the stairs in front of the hotel. Surely, a senior citizen but still very young looking, strong and healthy for his age. Thank you Sir for your friendly gestures and conversations every night when we go back. Front desk staff were friendly and very accommodating. The triple deluxe room was spacious for the 4 of us. Beds and pillows were comfortable and bathroom very clean. My husband is asthmatic but was not affected by the carpet. No smell and allergens. Aircondition was very well functioning. Temperature can be controlled as September was a little bit cold already in Korea. The hotel is in Myeondong and very accessible. We just walk because the palace is near, stores and restaurants are everywhere. Bus stops are near too. I definitely will recommend New Seoul Hotel and would book again next time we visit South Korea.
