Our travel makes it easy for us, as it is near the station and Yamamote line direct to famous places”
Room was cleaned all the time, if you dont want it cleaned they can make it on the day you want it, with 2 bottles of mineral water free. Tap water is clean and very safe to drink. Room is spacious as it was not expected, with bed, bigger than double bed very comfortable. Very quiet at night. Wifi in the hostel is very helpful, as we also had pocket wifi for outside use. Free coffee, tea, condiments, and many more in the kitchen. Heater, cooler, hot water is the best as it is consistent and easy to use during our winter stay. Staffs are very helpful, when you need something. The place is near 7-11, family mart, a lot of convenient stores you can buy food packed and prepared, ready to eat., you can withdraw at 7:11 with small charge made for tourists comin to japan, compared to foreign exchange as it is very low in equivalent. A lot of nearby restaurants, ramen house, izakaya, really many more. There is really cheap place of goods, food,choc,drinks, grocery store near Centurion Hotel.

The hotel was close to Uguisudani Station, which was one of JR Yamanote Line Station (approx. 5 mins walk by foot). They have a mini supermarket nearby and many restaurants if you walk a bit to the main street. We booked the family room that consisted of 4 beds. The room was surprisingly spacious, considering it is Japan where almost every apartment and hotel was very efficiently arranged. I stayed in the 3rd floor, where they have a washing machine. The interior of all the floors was very modern and minimalist. They provide us with towels and robes. The bathroom was also spacious. The beds were very comfortable and clean. The only downside of this hotel is that they dont have elevator, which can be a problem if you have huge luggage, but the staff was willing to help to carry your luggage upstairs. Overall it was a pleasant stay

Truly value for money stay in Tokyo”
I am very pleased with the hostel. The staff are very accommodating. they even assisted us in getting a cab to Bus Station near Tokyo Station. They also helped us in carrying our heavy luggage down the lobby since there is no elevator. The mess hall is just enough for their guests. The hostel is very clean, they change our towels every day. The hostel is very near Uguisudani Station (JR Loop Line). There is an elevator near the bridge so you won't have to carry your luggage through the stairs. There are many places to eat near the hostel and also affordable. If i come back to Tokyo, i will stay in here again for sure.

Exceeded expectations!”
For a budget hostel, Oakhostel Zen really exceeded expectations! I am usually too lazy to be bothered to write reviews online, unless they are exceptionally horrible or exceptionally fantastic. In this case, I must say my stay was extremely pleasant and exceeded my expectations! Plenty of amenities and ample shower/toilet space so there's no need to queue for bathrooms. Also the entire area, especially the bathrooms, is kept very clean (and I am a clean-freak, so you know for sure it is CLEAN when I say it is). the common dining area is also spacious and homely. perfect for chilling with friends. for such good service, it is definitely worth my money. will definitely return here!

Pleasant experience staying here”
When we first book the room, we know that there's not many other hostels offers the family room. This hostel however, offers a family room with attached bathroom and toilet at a very good price. Not only that, the room was quite wide and spacious. The location was also good, just a walk away from Uguisudani Station (1 stop from Nippori station), where you can get on the Yamanote line that goes practically every famous tourist places in Tokyo. There are loads of supermarket, convenience stores, and cheap restaurants nearby, so you will never have to worry about food. They also have communal kitchen that opens 24 hours, so you can cook whatever you like there. Although there are no elevator inside the building, the staff will gladly help you carry your suitcases upstairs to your room. All in all, a very recommended place to stay!

True value for money and much more”
We stayed here in November 24-29, 2019. The entire stay was very pleasant. The room was enough for 2 guests. Convenient if you have your own bath. The staff are very accomodating. They assisted us in getting a cab to tokyo station. The kitchen gets crowded during meal time but it was ok. No elevator but the staff assisted us in carrying our luggages up and down our room. The staff are very kind and they deserve to be commended for that. Thank you for the pleasant stay. Will definitely stay here again when i go back to Tokyo.

Best hostel I stayed in Tokyo”
It's a really really nice hostel. Rooms are clean, bathrooms have amenities, free use of hairdryer and it has a beautiful lobby. Only con is you would have to walk a few mins from the nearest station and there are only a few attractions in Ueno as compared to other parts of Tokyo. But if you have a JR pass, that wouldn't be a problem.

The place was very near to Uguisudani Train station and just 2-3 stations away from Ueno, Asakusa, Akihabara. Very accessible place, nice rooms and amenities. There are several restaurants and food joints around th property. Generally peaceful area. Will recommendand would try to stay again!

Good location”
Good locations, nice staff. The only downside is they don't change the beddings whenever requested and told me they only change the bed every 3 nights. I stayed for 4 nights and got to change my bed from upper to lower, which means my beddings wasn't change at all during my stay. But overall, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you!

Wonderful hostel ”
The staffs are friendly, the room is big and clear, the shower room and restroom are really great, and the location is also good, i could find it from railway station easily. And the super market and convenience store are so close. I will stay there again when I go to Tokyo next time!

Excellent Place To Stay”
This is my first time went to Japan and also first time Solo Traveler. This is one of the best place to stay for Solo traveller because it near subway station (u can use Tokyo Metro Pass) and many convernience stor such Aeon, 7-Eleven and Lawson. The facility on this place is excellent for cleanliness, confortable for dormitory room. Bathroom and Toilet are excellent cleanliness. Great servces from this hostel.

We got a private room with private bathroom for a great price. It's a short walk (~5 min) from the Yamanote line, perfectly clean, very comfortable, and the staff are second to none.

Near Uguisudani station. (JRPass user take the south exit, station master didn't guard the north exit). Good internet connection. Two power plug, some bed had one of the plug used for lamp, might need your own extension. Famima near Uguisudani south exit.

Wasn't hard to find using Google Map. Staffs were friendly and speaks english. It is near 2 stations so you won't have problems getting around Tokyo. There's wifi in hostel. You are free to you their kitchen. Overall stay was great!

My Most Visited Hostel as a Frequent Tokyo Traveller (Almost perfect 5 stars)”
I really really wish I could give it a full 5 stars, since everything was convenient for me especially their spacey room in which the mixed dormitory that I stayed in fitted lots of my luggage. The lounge is nice, kitchen is complete with everything you need. Every staffs were super nice, shout out for Ayano especially. BUT, there is one male staff with a long hair who is rude and treated customer in a bad manner and gave a bad service since the first time I arrived, first I thought he was just having a bad day at the moment, but turned out everytime he was on duty that was just his plain attitude. So yeah, I might reconsider my next visit whether Oakhostel Zen or somewhere else.

Best location, amazing service”
I've stayed at several Guest Houses throughout Tokyo and while they were all very nice, Oak Zen was above and beyond. How you ask? The tiny details. Vending machines with Strong Zero in the lobby. Room cleaning daily (what?!) -- and very close to JR line. Will 100% stay here again.
