Best in Kanda Area”
I don't usually give reviews on my capsule hostels experiences but I have to with OBI. I've been staying with lots of hostels in Tokyo from time to time as my work requires me to. I've been to most of the hostels in Kanda area but this one is the best so far. Beds are comfortable not to mention the comforters! Shower room and sinks are in the right distance against the beds so whenever some will use it, it won't be a disturbance. :)

Good value. Stations, restaurants, konbini nearby. Cafe/bar in lobby. Gym in the same building (¥880/day for hotel guests) Areas where cleaned everyday. Could use a couple more mens toilets (Only one per floor?)

Affordable and convenient”
The location and facilities made the hostel quite value for money. There’s a cafe on the ground floor and 2 floors of gyms, as well as a laundromat on the 5th floor. This all made the stay very convenient. The capsule bunk beds were a little on the tight side and I wished they were a bit less creaky, but overall very decent hostel!

Take this hotel for your sleeping, showering and training needs. Other then that, if you like hanging in the hostel, not the place… unless you are willing to eat at their café/restaurant then you’re going to love it 😍 !

Clean, small room, gym but…”
Something about the common spaces wasn’t working. The only “lounge” is a restaurant from 10am till 10pm. Can’t even sit there to enjoy your one snacks and beverages. No microwave in all hotel, no fridge either. Come to sleep, eat out and you’ll be fine. Nice gym too ! Good music but short playlist.

Dirty, unclean and unsanitary hostel.”
I mistakenly calculated the price for 2 people. I asked for the price for 1 person to be refunded, but the hostel refused. I paid a lot of money, and the service, cleanliness and hygiene were both dirty and uncomfortable. It is the second dirtiest hostel in Japan.

Bed is loud when someone move”
When someone move on the bed it wake up everyone. They need to rebuild the way the wooden capsule. Its mix room and the bathroom not so private which make women staying not safe. Theres no smoking area here. You cant use the common area below unless you buy something at the cafe. You wont get any sleep here. They have good locker where you set your own number. 1 toilet for men. Shower work great.

First hostel with a proper gym set up it cost additional 880yen per day I think I wish I had found it earlier. Dorms were nice and quiet, except for that one person that treat it likes his living room. Always. The location is good and very trendy with supermarket opposite the hostel. I also liked how close the subway entrance was just stone throw away! That said, I was surprised when I was told by the girl receptionist that I couldn’t use the ground floor unless I buy something. I was just trying to enjoy my coffee that I bought from outside so as not to take into the dorm area. I ended up standing outside just to finish my coffee and it was cold. You’re only entitled to using the dorm area/floor and have to pass through the ground floor unless you are dining? It’s interesting that Starbucks doesn’t impose that I buy anything but I still give them my business. Just because they let me use it in the first place.

I chose it because of the location and the price and I was okay because I didn't search much comfort but the walls were quite thin so Ic ould hear all the snores and other noises from other users. The fact that I needed to buy the slippers and the lobby that is a cafe as well that couldn't be used as lobby during the cafe hours was the little hick for me. Oh and there was no toothbrush and toothpaste too so bring your own. In general the staff was very friendly though.
