First and foremost, this is admittedly an older building that has been recently refurbished. If you look closely, there are bound to be a few things one could critique—such as an older bathtub or air-conditioning vent. That said, these were purely aesthetic and did not affect our stay at all. We didn’t even use the bathtub as we preferred the pool, and the heating/cooling system worked very effectively. Overall, we ABSOLUTELY enjoyed our stay at the Wyndham. 1. Location Superb location—right next to Funan, which is linked to Raffles Mall, Capitol, and City Hall MRT station. A 7-Eleven is just a 2-minute walk away, and the Kids Museum is about 10 minutes on foot. 2. Staff Wonderful, friendly staff who paid attention to small details. We were given a corner room for our family of four, which helped reduce stress in case our children cried or made noise. The housekeeping team was especially warm and genuine with our kids, never once minding the mess or soiled nappies. 3. Family-friendly As mentioned above, plus the availability of a baby cot complete with a cute pillow, bolster, and blanket. 4. Cleanliness Impressive housekeeping—extra boxes of tissues and toilet rolls were thoughtfully provided without us needing to request them. 5. Awesome pool My toddler absolutely loved the pool, especially the see-through side with window reflections. Seeing herself “dive” into the water brought her so much joy. We only found out at checkout, but the hotel also offers complimentary exercise classes, including a water-cycling class in the pool. 6. Room size Hotel rooms in Singapore can be very small, so we booked a larger room for our family of four—and it truly lived up to expectations. The room was very spacious and even had two cozy reading nooks. So definitely consider Wyndham Singapore if you and your family is visiting Singapore :)
Location A+ Cleanliness A+++ Staff Great The problems I felt were in the design of the room.Starting with the biggest of those. I could not sit straight on the toilet as the glass for the shower wall was too close. I am 180cm tall (5,11) and would need to be a great deal shorter to make full use. Opening the shower door to put your leg in the shower creates a little space but not enough I was there for 6 nights so had a few items of clothing. The draw space in the open clothes rack was strange The first draw was Full as it held the Safe, The 2nd was usable and The 3rd & 4th were false draws. Singapore is a hot place so space for the dirty washing to hide is important. The view out of the window down to Boat Quay was great but, due to a broad bar across the window combined with the low lounge chair I found it hard to sit back and enjoy whilst having a morning cup of coffee. (a big thank you for the pod coffee machine.) When you shower the hot water takes a fair time to reach you. I would start the shower then come back. The speed was better during the morning when it must be a busy shower time. I found the bed super comfortable and slept well every night. The room was super quiet except when someone above was walking round in high or wooden heels. I tried to find some way to use the TV to look at Photos from my Camera. I failed as there were no easily accessible HDMI or USB ports. The TV does offer Chrome-cast which was no good for me. Singapore is a great country and I will be back. Would I recommend this hotel? Definitely not if you are staying more than a night or 2.
We had a fantastic stay at Wyndham Singapore Hotel as a family with two young kids (both under 4). A special thanks to the very attentive doorman who quickly helped unload our two strollers from the taxi boot every time we returned to the hotel after a long day out. The room was spacious and perfect for a family. We especially liked the hard flooring it felt much cleaner and more hygienic than carpet, which is a huge plus when staying with toddlers. We were also very grateful to the receptionist who noticed we were traveling with young children and kindly offered us early check-in at 1pm. That extra thoughtfulness allowed our kids to settle in, rest, and freshen up after our journey. To top it off, we were upgraded to a room with a stunning view of Marina Bay Sands, which was such a lovely surprise! Overall, the staff’s attentiveness and the family-friendly features of the hotel made our stay comfortable and memorable. Highly recommended for families traveling with little ones!
From taxi drop-off (which was in front of a mall) the hotel entrance was not easy to find, likely because Coleman Street is a one-way street and our driver came from the wrong direction. Hotel staff was friendly but distracted, two chinese groups being loud and people from these groups were walking between the desks, took a little while to get checked in. The room was really very nice, quite big and all pictures added to this review were made from the window alongside the bed: Absolutely amazing, especially at sunset. Clean bathroom, tidy room, no complaints. We visited the hotel restaurant twice, great food (Jumbo shrimps and Hainan Chicken w/rice) with a 20% discount when you’re a hotel guest. The MRT is nearby and for us being first time travellers to Singapore, anyone considering getting a good hotel for a fair price, we definitely recommend this hotel!
The Wyndham has recently undergone significant redecoration and this has made it fantastic value for money, it is a very clean and well finished decor with staff that go above and beyond to make you welcome and feel at home. We went to Singapore specifically for the 60th Independence celebrations and the staff at the hotel made it a truly unforgettable experience for all the right reasons. From the concierge to the reception staff to the restaurant staff there was not one unhappy face and all requests were not only met, but exceeded. Location wise this hotel is perfect, 10 minutes walk from the Bay and 15 from Lau Pa Sat (a personal favourite). 5 minutes walk from Boat Quay cafe strip and if you do not enjoy walking in the heat it is 3 m inutes to the City Hall MRT station. Finally the price given it's location, facilities and staff is extremely good. We cannot recommend the Wyndham Singapore highly enough
We stayed here during NDP rehearsals and it was a good idea because we can walk from the viewing areas back to the hotel, since we all know NDP can be really crowded, train stations are packed, and a lot of road closures. We also would like to thank the staff for the free early check-in. We had a very tiring day because of some flight issues, and really needed to refresh. They are also very kind, I forgot the names of all the staff that helped us during our stay. It’s rare to see people in Singapore that likes children lol, but they all gave my child a warm smile and some treats! Oh! and just want to mention that our room looks very new, as well as the lobby and hallway. I think since it’s newly renovated. It’s very clean and water pressure is good despite our room on the higher floor. Thank you Wyndham!
The last time I stayed here was it was still Peninsula Excelsior. Probably 1-2 years ago. The rooms were a bit dark in ambiance. It was quite gloomy. But now, I love what you did to your rooms. More bright. More clean. The sheets are non itchy unlike before. The lights made the room pop. It felt relaxing. Though, the thing that I was a bit disappointed was at the check in counter. I was surprised when I was asked to leave a room deposit. I paid my room via Agoda and it was reflected as paid on you system. Usually when it is book via Agoda, there are no room deposit collected. After a couple of minutes the check-in personnel retracted her request. No need for a deposit. Hopefully this would be corrected in the future to avoid surprises. All in all, I enjoyed my stay at the hotel. I will surely come back.
I chose the Wyndham Singapore Hotel because it was central to the city and in the middle of my price range. I had no expectations. I was very pleasantly surprised. I arrived early but the staff did all they could to make booking as simple as possible and were absolutely charming. It is am imposing set of buildings with a marble lobby that is on a grand yet intimate scale. The facilities are excellent, with a choice of two pools, a large en-suite room with contemporary styling. I was very comfortable. I only had the breakfast but that was plentiful with a wide variety of options for the very diverse clientele. All in all a perfect option for my purposes and I would recommend The Wyndham Singapore to others
I really appreciate that the hotel smells good every corner and it’s super clean too! The breakfast buffet was fantastic - offering cold soba, various Singapore local food and an egg station! My only two gripe was, our room faces the fire central station. So you can hear the sirens and codings. BUT it’s actually cool seeing the firemen and paramedics springing into action. Imagine your kids excitement seeing it. There was also Franz Ferdinand playing at Fort Canning Park so we cld actually hear them playing but I can’t complain much on that. Ah another gripe, check in was a tad slow idk what system was used. But check out was smooth. Overall, would recommend but if you’re a light sleeper, chose the other tower away from the fire central station.
Would definitely recommend. Great location within walking distance to MRT and other locations including the Funan mall with plenty of dining options. Whilst the lift often had queues the hotel as a whole was excellent. Clean, comfortable rooms, comfy bed and great facilities in room. We were very happy with our stay… while other properties may be cheaper, we would not hesitate booking again. Staff were friendly and cleaning staff especially helpful. Didn’t have breakfast due to the cost and didn’t use some of the other facilities so canning comment on these although they all looked to be at a similar high standard.
I am very happy with our stay at this hotel. I had requested a small arrangement to surprise my wife on her birthday, and the hotel kindly managed to prepare a simple yet thoughtful setup for us, which we truly appreciated. Special thanks to the staff for also arranging a room with a wonderful view during our stay. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. In addition, the hotel’s location is very strategic and convenient. Overall, it was a pleasant and memorable experience, and we are grateful for the warm hospitality shown by the hotel team.
I booked this deluxe triple room as we had a group of 3 people. Checkin: I was told by reception, she could offer me a double bed + a rollaway bed. The reason I paid more to book for deluxe triple room was to ensure we all got an individual twin bed. Rollaway bed is totally different. So I insisted of what the cateogory I booked and ended up I got the exact room category I booked. I was on 11th floor, the room could view partially Marina Bay Sands hotel. Location is good. I could get food /breakfast next to the hotel at Funan mall and within walking distance to the metro subway station. There is another shopping centre about 10 mins walk. There are 2 swimming pools in the hotel but we were outside most of the time and didn't have a chance to swim. The hotel is within walking distance of 10 mins to Melion park. I suggested to go there at night as it is not as hot as in daytime and night scene is great and less people. Most of the time I used Grab as I had a senior company during the trip. If I go to Singapore again, I may also consider this hotel as it's very convenient. I really like the bed, it's so comfortable than any other hotels I stayed before.
Booked this hotel room a few months back as it is newly renovated and Agoda had a good discount for me. Booked deluxe room but was given a different room which looked like a standard superior room. Tried to clarify with Wyndham but they insisted it was deluxe room. Photos looked different on the internet. Anyway, one of the affordable hotel room to be near to Padang to celebrate National Day and to view fireworks. The room was facing the opposite mall but at an angle can see the fireworks. Room was clean and comfortable though a bit small especially the toilet.
Hi travel to Singapore often, have my favourites. This time I chose something different. My experience excellent. Location is good, located at the orchard end close to City Hall. Gym was good for a hotel. Pools x2 were fantastic for a city hotel. The hotel was clean, sharp looking, the bar inviting and the outlook from the bar great looking back through into the glass wall pool. Yes, give it a go, hopeful you can have a good experience there. Staff were very helpful in helping me store luggage, provided a towel, shower facilities, after I had checked out. Thumbs up (July 2025)
The major reason we choose the Wyndham we because of its proximity to so many local attractions. Walking distance to Boat Quay, Clarke Quay, and China Town. Short taxi ride to One Fullerton, Marina Bay Sands, Gardens by the Bay & the Singapore Flyer. Impressive new remodel less than 1 year old. Our corner room on the 21st floor was spacious with excellent views. Nicely appointed and had a small but luxurious bath. Must stay for tourist looking for great value in the heart of Singapore
This was our third visit to Singapore over many years but first at Wyndham. Downtown location is central to transportation and sites. The room was very spacious and comfortable and clean. The breakfast was a buffet with plenty of options but expensive and more than we wanted to eat. Other options are plentiful nearby.
Peninsula Excelsior is mixed bag but overall good. Exited cruise ship at 7:45 am, arrived hotel at 8:30, in high view room at 9 am despite check-in time of 3 pm. Guarantees a good review. Hotel lobby was under construction and a bit awkward. Staff uniformly friendly. Main problem was bathroom. Shower had scalding hot water and problematic but workable drain. Called housekeeping to get water to tolerable temperature. (Not surprised if burns would result from hot water flow). Housekeeping was overwhelmed (room cleaned after 6:30 pm). Concierge helpful with massive luggage, calling cab to Changi on departure, etc. Location is superb. Access to MRT through City Hall and Funan Mall. Can walk underground to Raffles. Bathroom will always prevent 5 stars but solid 4 stars with improved housekeeping staff.

I recently stayed at this hotel and had a pleasant experience overall. The staff were very helpful and friendly, which made the stay comfortable. The room was clean, cozy, and well-maintained, with towels changed daily. The breakfast could be improved, as I was expecting more variety in the food options. Also, the hotel provides drinking water through a tap instead of bottled water, while it’s convenient, I personally prefer bottled water. The lobby area is nicely designed and welcoming for visitors. Overall, it was a good stay, and with a few improvements, it could be even better.
Our stay at Wyndham was wonderful. It made our trip so much more relaxing and saved us a lot of time since it’s centrally located, close to places we often visit like Marina Bay Sands and Orchard. It’s also right beside Funan Mall and just a short walk to Raffles, which made getting around really convenient. The room felt very new, clean, and comfortable. If you can, I’d definitely recommend getting the Executive Club access, it made the whole stay even more relaxing.
This hotel offers excellent value for money with a prime location (near Funan Mall) that makes exploring the area a breeze with the nearby underpass, while the cleanliness of the space is truly commendable. The staff are very friendly, enhancing the overall experience and the facilities are great, although the room that we booked is not that spacious, but I love how fast their laundry service and also reliable WiFi that kept us connected throughout our stay.
Excellent location close to City Hall metro station. We arrived many hours before check in after a long flight from Europe. Staff were so helpful and managed to get us a room several hours early. In the meantime, we were given access to the pool and somewhere to freshen up, thank you Aleena. Was also able to arrange for an extra late check out ( at a reasonable cost) before catching our next flight. Cannot rate the hotel or their staff highly enough.
We've got North tower 10th floor king bed room. Nice and Clean room. Have great time staying. Suggested hotel to provide face towel in bathroom too.
Everything is good, great location, comfortable rooms comes with bathtub, my son love it. However, due to high amount of booking the check in process took us more than an hour (with only few counters open). The only feedback from me is to improve and fasten the check in process or open more counter if you know you have high booking on that day. Travel from airport to the hotel is tiring with kids and luggage, once reach still need to wait an hour plus just for check in
Booked for 3 room,1 room ready at 4 pm,and we can get into another 2 rooms at 6pm,they said they will inform us when the room were ready,infact,we have to asked for our room,no compensantion,no sorry for late check caused by lack of housekeeping staff which is actually not our problem. Cleanliness is ok.The swimming pool and bfast restaurant just like 3 or 4 star hotel we ever stayed,not 5 star hotel standard we ever stayed. The plus point is only location which is a step away from funan mall and city hall mrt station and bus stop,so it is very convinient to find food dan to go around the city.
This was my 6th stay, and this was the first time I have been unhappy with my room. It was located next to the elevator and on the road where the fire and ambulance station was located- so very noisy overnight even though I was on the 17th floor! When I raised this with reception, I received an apology and told on my next stay to ask where the location of the room is! I strongly suggest you ask when checking in - the whole idea of me having an overnight stay was to have a good sleep before my next flight!! A real shame because the hotel really is in an excellent location and the room itself was very comfortable.
I really wish I could get the staff six stars on this website because they were terrific. The hotel is immaculate. I highly recommend it. For those foreigners visiting Singapore for the first time, Grab is the name of the ride share app used. It's fantastic since it's as easy to use as Uber or Lyft and very helpful for dumb Americans like me that let's begin anything but English.
Location is excellent. Walking distance to galleries, museums, happening trendy spots, food, MRT station. Comfortable beddings on proper King size bed. There're a few things the hotel could improve on: 1) Staffs (reception, concierge) were cold. No initiative in helping with luggage, concierge staff will just watch you go with your suitcases, will point you to the elevator, not help you with it. At check-in, receptionist took no initiative to introduce their hotel facilities, we had to ask where the gym is, what's the opening hours of the pools etc. 2) Bathroom. Although the room is in good size but the bathroom is rather tight. Overall feels a little dated. 3) Towel. Very OLD towels. Change after change they're all the same. Threads already shredding from all sides of the towel, no fluff left, rough on the skin, some already coloured. Feels motel-grade, not what a 4-star establishment should be providing.
Perfect location for our purpose as within walking distance to our track entry gate. Huge room, nice an quiet but tiny bathroom. A bit funny, else all good, clean and everything worked well. Super friendly and helpful staff. Funan mall next door with MRT connections within 5 min from the hotel. Lots of food close by. Reasonable price for the timing. All good, we would come again…
The room is very clean and they replenish the rooms everyday!! Their staff are all so friendly and helpful. The location is perfect, there’s a church in front (St. Andrew’s Cathedral), theres mrt, malls, food etc. love it!! The view from the room is also good
Location is excellent. Room is renovated ( the bathroom is not) , good space ( the bathroom is small). It is clean everywhere in hotel. Staff friendly ( especially James!). A swimming pool that is open is very good. But...the breakfast is disgusting in every sense. Maybe it would be okay for three stars hotel. We are very disappointed from the first morning when we saw the food selection.
The rooms are in 2 towers north and south. There is a mix of room types in each tower. There rooms aren’t huge but fantastically clean and the bed is comfy and bathroom with great shower. There are 2 small pools and a bar in the lobby area plus a club lounge /sky bar. Location is great around 5 mins walk to city hall mrt with lots of shops and eateries. Right next to the hotel is Funan mall and another more local mall but tourists will find limited choice in these. We had breakfast and noticed there was some cross contamination of vegetarian and non vegetarian foods placed next to each other and some hotel guests were using the same spoon for both. The hotel management can avoid this by ensuring vegetarian foods are on a completely separate counter to meat and seafood etc. Although check in was a bit slow staff are very polite and helpful.
Everything is nice, just that the pickup location (name) for grab/ tadaa might be abit confusing. First taxi ride to the hotel the driver kept asking is it Peninsular hotel? We have no idea because we're not from Singapore. Otherwise, hotel is clean, room is spacious, amenities are all there. Location is excellent.
The rooms are clean, location is super central. Next to a mall and food court and a few mins walk from City Hall MRT station. Mariana Bay Sands and Merlion are all walking distance so if you want to go to the Gardens by the Bay show in the evening or the fountain show all fairly easy. The housekeeping staff was very polite and helpful.
Located in the same building with Funan mall, there are many restaurants, including 24/7 fast food chain restaurant, and convenient for shopping. The room is spotless clean, spacious, easily fits for 2-3 medium luggages. Bathroom is complete with rain shower option, bidet, it was spotless clean as well
We had 2 rooms and they were able to put us next to each other - which was helpful. Hotel is very clean, fantastic location - Right next to a huge mall with lots of eating options, short walk to Clark Quay, short walk to MRT station and to Raffles City centre. Could not fault the hotel. Would stay again
The pictures don't do the hotel justice. The hotel is very clean and new. the colour decor is very warm with orange tones that really feels homely. The Staff are great and couldn't do enough for your, especially Diana at the check in desk. location is also great with links to train station and walking distance to the marina. would definitely be staying here again

They kindly assisted us with printing documents and even upgraded our room to celebrate our wedding day—such a beautiful gift!! The hotel’s location is fantastic, with easy access to the MRT and Funan Mall, making it super convenient for exploring the city. Our room was spotless, comfortable, and well-equipped. Location is excellent. I bet North Tower would be better than South T. Lucky we are in NT, we have quiet room. Bedding is very comfortable, we slept so well. Toilet ventilation needs to be improved. The cleaning green signal can be worked opposite to save your manpower as I dont really need to clean every day.
Was perfect central area close to MRT.Shopping, Merlion Park, restaurants. Very clean, comfortable mattress. Although across from the Fire station and main intersection. Was noisey with alarms going off all through the night. Shame it wasn’t double glazed. But it was good value for $$.
The facelift given to the Former Peninsula has been extensive since our last visit A very high standard has been set. You will enjoy the space that each room has to offer. Rooms are very clean. The only small problem I found was I prefer a softer bed and a bed topper would improve this.
Im really recommended for this hotel especially Family with young children / Baby because near to funan mall. only one step closer and also Seven eleven. easy access to everywhere. During check in, Mr. Alvin as Front office staff is very helpfull and his upgraded our room. The room is nice and bigger also clean, Really Appreciated about it. The hotel is near Cityhall station and Funan mall which is really suitable for city walk. View from the room is really good. Their pool is very clean and well maintained. However, they do not have kids pool.
I booked a room for 3 nights but stayed for only 2 nights because we encountered flight delays from our home country. Fortunately, when we got there the room was still available to us and we checked in with no problem. We got in the room, parted the curtains and was disappointed of the view out the window but since we were tired from the long flight, we just got into bed to rest. The reason I booked a room at this hotel was for the pool anyways. My son did enjoy the pool but he and I agreed that the view out the window was terrible. It gave a feeling of depression. We stayed in Singapore for 2 weeks and checked-in at 2 other hotels. The two other hotels we stayed in had our room facing Fort Canning and the other hotel towards the end of our holiday was facing the treetop of Pasir Ris Park and the waters by Pulau Ubin. These two hotels my son liked a lot and was very vocal about it and I agree with him. He and I enjoyed looking out the window in the morning before we went out and again at night when we get back, but did not enjoy this in Wyndham Singapore Hotel. Overall, I think, if you get lucky and get a room with a nice view out the window, Wyndham Singapore Hotel is a good place to stay at. They have nice clean rooms (which is, of course to be expected) and filtered drinking water right in your bathroom. The pool is awesome, towels and robes are provided.
newly renovated and rebrand from Pennisular Excelior to Wyndhan Hotel Singapore, more vibrant outlook. We stayed here for 3 nights which staff upgrade us to corner room with nice view of the church. This is the view from our window. the hotel is conveniently located near city hall mrt station, convenience to find food next door at Funan mall. Room is nice and clean. One of three night that we stayed was our family member birthday so staff nicely prepared small cake for a complementary during our stay, appreciated. Nonetheless, not recommended if you come on Sunday especially Sunday night as down below the building this is the place where expat worker gathering on Sunday which come with noise. It was getting louder and londer when the speaker and amplifier were used to open the native concert from 19.00-22.00 Sunday night. If you do not think this is bother you then this is the place that we recommend but if you think noise is the factor then might stay away from Sunday night booking
Overall it was a pleasant stay in this hotel. Is quiet and the room is comfortable. But the check out can be simplified as we need to wait and queue along with the check in guests . Since we have fully paid and there is no mini bar items in the room, I would think the hotel should allow express check out just by dropping off the keys

First of all, the hotel is in a very good location, in the heart of Singapore, safe and convenient, which makes check-in very simple. The service attitude of the staff is OK, I didn't feel uncomfortable or particularly warm, just OK. But I have to say that the hotel's email service is particularly poor! I sent a total of 2 emails, and I haven't received a reply so far, and they are all very simple questions, why don't you reply to me? If there is no such service, please don't show the mailbox and customer service, I am very disappointed!
This refurbished hotel is very clean and contemporary in its design, simple but elegant. The staffs are very courteous. Rooms are considered spacious by Singapore standards. The shower water pressure is fantastic. Located right opposite the Supreme Court and the Parliament and next to the City Line station
