Recommended with reservations”
The first thing that's noticeable on arrival is that the staff - from the manager to the cleaning staff - are all excellent -- very attentive, very pleasant, and very pro-active to your needs. That said, unfortunately, the second thing my wife and I noticed is that Phu Pai Art Resort was probably fantastic about 10 years ago, but now it is badly in need of renovation and refurbishing. The individual cottages are enormous inside, with several rooms, including a gigantic bathroom. However, even paint job and an update of the TV to a flatscreen would be nice. Given so many alternatives in Pai, when we come again, we will most likely stay elsewhere, but for a quiet place outside of town a little, with lots of space and great views, Phu Pai Art Resort might be good for you.
EVERYTHING”
Staff was beyond helpful and kind. Beautiful bungalows! Great price! 10-15 min motor bike ride to downtown but recommended!! Would love to come back! By far the best place I’ve stayed during my three week backpacking
Great Getaway Location”
The staff, accommodations, amenities and views were just perfect for a weekend getaway! Agoda had a 75% off sale so I am extremely happy what I got for the price I paid!! <3 I will definitely be back
Great location on rice fields and mountains”
It's a very beautiful and quiet place. The view on the rice fields and the mountains is great and peaceful. The swimming pool is very big and clean. The staff is friendly and professional. We will come back.
Great value but Staff could have been more attentive”
Beautiful location and facilities but I think because we came in low season the attentiveness of the staff was lower quality. . One room was missing hand towels. The pool overlooking the farms wasn't clean and had dead bugs and leaves floating. The bungalows are huge and nicely decorated and I was in love with how comfy the bed was. We got a standard villa and a deluxe villa. The standard villa was a great value but I think the deluxe villa was overpriced. 500 baht extra per night is pricy for Thailand just for a different view and breakfast. The hanging chandelier tree lights by the deluxe villa were turned off after less than an hour being on which was unfortunate. The view really is much improved with the lights on. My in-laws also complained that they were woken up by the loud motobike of a staff member who patrolled the grounds every 20 minutes.
Beautiful and charming resort, surrounded by nature and agriculture ”
We love the vast agricultural fields and spectacular sunset. Would love a longer stay in future to bask in the natural environment. The room is huge with a separate vanity, changing room and bathroom. It can be too cold for comfort in the winter in the bathroom with the stark interior.
Relaxing”
All great but villas bit old and could be cleaner. No major problem. We stayed 4 nights with young children they had fun running around. Not close to town but hotel has shuttle for minimal cost. Nice and peaceful surrounding.
Fantastiskt”
This is an amazing resort to stay at. Beautiful views from Honeymoon suites. The only negatives are the amount of feral cats that live in the resort (one but me at breakfast table) and the pool could be cleaner. Apart from that I highly recommend staying here.
No maintenance, very old and not same as advertised”
There are no reception in the late night, the room is lack of maintenance, I guess the owner doesn't want to put any more money in, so everything is very old and poor maintained, for the same price, there are much newer and better service hotels.
Excellent view but hotel is a bit far from the city”
Took the honeymoon suite. It was fantastic! Clean, spacious, great view, everything you could ask for. The location however was a bit far off. And in order to get to Pai, need to take the hotel's shuttle which costs 50THB/person for a return trip.
Time of ours lives”
My wife and I stayed at Phu Pai Art Resort and were amazed at the value we got. It's in the middle of a rice field, which was absolutely gorgeous. All around you are mountains and fields of rice. We took a walk through the farm and saw all sorts of animals and beautiful landscapes. The pool overlooks more fields with the background of mountains, and cows were coming right up to it. It was a truly amazing experience. The villa itself was wonderful. Very spacious and the bed was quite comfortable. We will come back and stay here again.
Good scenery view”
The location is far from town. But the view is definitely worth it, during the night mosquito prey for u at the restaurant. Other than that, the room is clean, there's no mosquito at our room. Prefect for relaxation.
great place to relax”
We arrived as a group and admittedly we were very early for check in. The staff told us professionally they strictly enforced the check in time of 2pm and although we were not happy, we eventually settled in for some lunch while we waited. Lunch was good, although service was a little slow, not an issue because we were in a group (unless you were the last one to be served!). Anyway, fast forward to the rooms, now I can understand about checking in, the rooms are huge and the staff would need all the time they can get to clean them, which they do very well. Each building is one room, so as you enter you have a huge bedroom area with a king sized bed on a raised platform. To either side of the bed is a walk through space into a double vanity basin area, and beyond that is a huge bathroom with full bath, walk in robe and separate shower room. Beware, the rooms have the hottest hot water I've ever encountered in Thailand! The setting for the resort is very rural and quite stunning, but be warned, it is four kilometres approx. from the centre of Pai so not really a walking proposition. The resort does run either a van or a Sorngtau to and from town at regular times and for a minimal cost for guests. The horizon pool is magnificent although admittedly the decking could do with a bit of maintenance. The staff are all professional and helpful. We were sad to leave!
Great stay”
This place is suited a little out of Pai which suited us very well. The view over the valley from the pool and the restaurant is stunning. A broken light was fixed in no time and on request an extra blanket was delivered at the house. Great stay, but you need a car or motorbike to head into Pai
A place for hideaway”
This hotel is nice. It is a very good place for those who seeking for hideaway for relax with a nature and peace. Next to the hotel seems to be a farm. It's very nice view tho. Room itself is nice and clean, and quite better than standard comparing to its price.
large and luxury room, super large garden”
Just wonderful. large and luxury room, super large and beautiful garden, quiet room ,the good price ,perfect swimming pools. I like Phu Pai Art Resort so much. I'll choose this Resort the next time.
Breathtaking views”
Gorgeous view of rice fields and mountains. My bungalow overlooked a beautiful rice field. There is an infinity pool that overlooks a valley with rice fields and a mountain range. Watched a farmer plant his fields. Gorgeous! Very peaceful and serene. There is a front porch with two chairs and a raised platform with cushions to lounge on. Room was nice. Bathroom was huge - had a separate shower and bath tub. Had a vanity and closet. Great value for the money. Skip the breakfast and go in to town to either "All About Coffee" or "Cafecito."
Perfect for a weekend away”
I'll be going back to Phu Pai Art Resort for sure! It was awesome. The relaxing weekend away I was looking for! 5 minute taxi ride from Pai's small airport, or a an extra few minutes if you arrive to Pai by bus. Phu Pai Art Resort is on the outskirts of town, so you're away from any busyness or noise from the town's bars and instead surrounded by peaceful, lush rice fields and stunning views of the mountains. The staff were helpful. We rented motorbikes from the hotel to make getting in and out of town easier, but the hotel also provided an hourly shuttle bus. The infinity pool looks as good in real life as it does in the featured pictures. I was wary that the photos of the pool area were shot to look bigger than they were, but I was pleased to find that the pool area is rather large. The rooms are also as picturesque. There's no sneaky marketing going on here. The rooms were awesome. Well kept, cleaned daily and very private. Each room is it's own building / Thai style hut. Our room was looking over the rice fields, which was nice to wake up to in a morning and chill out on the front porch area after swimming in the pool until sunset. I can't wait to go back to Phu Pai Art Resort!
