I had a lovely stay at Shilla Stay Seodaemun. The staff were very kind and helpful throughout our stay, always happy to guide us when we needed assistance. Even the housekeeping lady was incredibly warm and friendly. The location is excellent- very close to train and bus stations, and the airport limousine bus stops nearby, which makes travelling with luggage much easier. The room was well equipped with everything you might need, including a hair dryer, iron, mini fridge, and bathroom amenities like toothbrushes and L’Occitane body products. One tiny downside was the breakfast buffet, which had the exact same selection every day and got repetitive especially after 6 days. If I return I would probably skip the breakfast and explore the many cafés and restaurants around the hotel instead. Overall, a very comfortable stay and I would happily come back! ⭐

They allowed us to have late check out to pack our bags as well. The room was clean and neat, complete with all the items we will need for our stay. The bed was really comfortable as well. Location: It is situated between Myeong-dong and Hongdae and easily accessible by subway and airport bus. The subway is just right in front of the hotel entrance and airport bus stop is just across the street which is definitely an advantage. Room: Providing all basic amenities and is clean. Though it is not very spacious but I think it's enough for 2 people in a short trip. Room is clean and in good condition. I didn't manage to have a meal in hotel and the facilities because of the tight schedule so cannot comment on the food and gym room, but I would definitely recommend if you would visit surrounding neighborhoods.
Very good location, almost centrally located to major spots. Right next to exit 7 and 8 of train station. There is a direct bus from the airport too! I will recommend taking the bus instead of the train since no transit is required. My stay was intermittent since I took a 2 nights trip to Sokcho. The hotel allowed me to store my luggage before I check in for my subsequent stay. It was a pleasant stay, clean and convenient. There is a cafe right outside the hotel and a CU adjacent to the cafe.

They are small but have everything for a good night's sleep, space to work and a decent size bathroom. Good restaurants nearby. Subway station right in front. You can walk to business area and places to see historical, cultural and shopping destinations. I will stay here again.

It was a good stay at this place - Central location with many buses available to town (~5 mins walk to bus stop) - Direct exit to subway station outside of hotel entrance (Few stops to Seoul Station for AREX to ICN Airport) - Helpful front desk - Clean room with sufficient facilities - Twin room was fairly sized for 2 pax, able to open 2 luggages at the same time Cons: - Not recommended for those with elderly / children as there is a short walk underground to subway station with steps - Outer area is not sheltered - Not much dining options during the night
We stayed on a Sat night just before Xmas so was a bit more expensive than usual. Staff were great and helpful. Room was fine for 2 people, bed was comfortable, walk in shower. Right next to exit 7 and 8 of Seodaemun subway station, just be mindful if carrying a lot of heavy luggage, there are quite a lot of stairs at those exits. Airport bus right across the road so easy to and from Incheon Airport. Would stay here again.
Easy to get around as train station just literally just a couple of minutes from the entrance of the door. The room we had were decent, managed to open up two huge luggages at the same time. Love that it had L’occitane shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and hand cream - this is one of the wow things from the hotel stay. The reception services were below average based on many hotel stay experiences - most of the time they aren’t greeting you in and out nor give any attention unless required specifically. However there is one very friendly and helpful receptionist named Chloe Han who helped me check-out with ease and even booked a taxi on my behalf since I had an early flight to get on the next day. Overall, it is decent mainly if you want a train station close by.
Located in a very accessible place, be it by subway or bus. Housekeeping was excellent, room was consistently clean throughout our (long) stay. The room size was surprisingly big, given my low expectations since it was located in Seoul. Sufficient space to fully open two big luggages, with room to spare. Convenient access from airport as well, the bus stops where the airport bus stops is very near the hotel. Staff were exceptionally courteous and kind during our stay, allowing us to leave our luggage while we wait for check-in/after check-out when we wanted to explore more before heading to the airport. The lobby is abit small and dark, but really not much of an issue for us. Highly recommended.
Loved staying at this hotel. They let me check in early since they had rooms available. The housekeeping staff made sure I got water bottles (and offered fresh towels) daily even though I didn't have them clean the whole room (I stayed two nights and there were plenty of towels) . The subway station is right in front of the hotel (exits 7 and 8), post office across the way, small traditional market further down the road, tons of restaurants (great mandu shop!) and an Olive Young nearby. The only downside for me was the subway line was not as convenient as other routes, but that is because of the things I was doing the last two days there. The breakfast was yummy with a pleasant mix of Asian and non-asian items.
I recently stayed at Shilla Stay Seodaemun with my cousin, and it was a fantastic experience. The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to Seodaemun Station and major attractions like Gyeongbokgung Palace and Bukchon Hanok Village just a short distance away. It made getting around the city incredibly convenient. What really stood out during our stay was the exceptional staff. From check-in to check-out, the team was incredibly friendly, helpful, and attentive. Another highlight was the simple automatic toilet. It’s such a thoughtful touch! The one-touch button made everything so convenient and easy to use, providing a sense of luxury and comfort. It’s a small detail, but it definitely added to the overall quality of our stay. Overall, I highly recommend Shilla Stay Seodaemun. Whether you're visiting Seoul with family, like I did, or on your own, the prime location, top-notch service, and thoughtful amenities like the automatic toilet make it a fantastic choice.
This is my second time staying with Shilla Stay Seodaemun. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect for getting around (there is an airport bus that gets you to and from airport from opposite, it is right at the doorstep of one of the train station exits and there are many buses around that makes it accessible to other areas).
Hotel located close to the city center and some attractions like: meyongdong, namdemun market, Shinsege and Lotte department stores, the Palace and seoul station. It has good access to bus, subway and convenience stores. They serve good breakfast. It looks like American style breakfast (main advantage for this hotel ). Of course you can enjoy Korean breakfast at the same time. The breakfast quality was good but the service time was limited (6:30-9:30). In korea, sometimes finding hotel with American style breakfast is so difficult! Bed was in good size and comfortable. Room was clean and they serve housekeeping every day. Staffs were helpful and friendly in good English. I was surprised when I see the hotel has three stars! Because i found it four stars in Agoda! So, for three stars hotel it was bit pricey. The elevators did not have mirrors! The room had dust particles in air when I moved the blanket and curtains! The window glasses were not clean. The room was not same with my reservation picture in agoda and were not in upper floor where I requested.
The hotel is located right next to a subway station and is very convenient to get to. The room was a little small but perfectly clean and with good amenities. The staff were very professional and always happy to help
I’ve stayed in a few different neighborhoods in Seoul and found this location particularly convenient for those flying into the city during odd hours and for traveling around, especially to/fro Myeongdong and Gyeongbokgung Palace, despite being located closer to the fringe of Seoul. The Seodaemun bus stop right across from the hotel is served by the Incheon airport limousine bus, and the Seodaemun metro station is right at the doorstep. There are multiple GS25 in the vicinity, as well as other food options. The room was not particularly spacious, though the floor space allows for larger luggage to be opened with some flexibility. There is ample wardrobe space, which makes traveling during winter a breeze for me (I was able to hang 4 coats/jackets including 2 puffers during my stay). Overall, it was a no-frills stay. As a frequent traveler for both business and leisure, I've now added this hotel to my list of options for my next trip to Seoul.

The new year has started and we have started the year with a bang! Truly, this hotel is fabulous and love the service. The staffs are great right from the time checked in, question asked and checked out. Happy vibes with good connection. Also the airport limousine bus is near to the hotel. Bus 6002 and there’s also a very near train station which is Seodaemun and convenient to go anywhere like Myeongdong or even Starfield Suwon. Love the room and each time we came back to the room after an enjoyable day, always with smiles. Yes with no hesitation if want to consider booking this hotel when coming back to Seoul again.

Book the stay for me and my friend and we had a wonderful time throughout. 1. Staff friendliness and willingness to assist. We arrived at 11am and was blessed to get an early check in to freshen up get ready for the day. Staff at the reception also helps to call up for the taxi at 4am as we had an early morning flight back. 2. Location Just across the bus stops and the train exit is right outside of the buiding. Airport bus will take u straight to the bus stop across the hotel. And there's a 24hours lotteria across the hotel too. 3. The room was decently sized for 2 pax and there's also a small sitting area near the window. 4. Iron is placed in the room (which is a rare thing for hotels nowadays)
(+) Just like the title. A nice stay for couples, solo travelers, and business travelers. Location is nice and the view is also great. Friendly and accommodating staff. Also really liked how the bathroom had a tub and not just a shower booth. Rooms are fairly sized and comfortable. (-) Maybe it was because my room was close to the elevator, but not totally quiet or soundproof. But it wasn't too bad because there weren't any disruptions during the night.
Location was great as there is a bus stop and metro station within walking distance. Airport bus also stopped near the hotel which was convenient. Room was clean and spacious as well. Loved our stay and would come back again.

Booked this at the last minute so it was a little bit pricey. For some reason, agoda planned it such that for 4 nights stay, I had to check out after 3 nights and check in again for 1 more night. The reception staff was really kind, she upgraded me so that I do not need to do this check-in, check-out process. I love that the location is right outside the train station and generally its about 20-30 mins walk to myeongdong and Namdaemun so it was great. The only gripe I have with the hotel was the housekeeping. I am not sure why they do not sweep up the floor. As a solo female traveller, after 3 nights the floor was just a lot of hair :( Other than this, its generally a great hotel.
I needed some time to myself and this was the perfect place for me. The location is very convenient, close to Seoul Station and Myeongdong. The rooms are pleasant, clean and very efficient with space. I especially loved the bathtub as it was the perfect size for me. Beds and pillows are very comfortable. It was no bother and no fuss for me.
I booked mountain view initially, not knowing what to expect—while the mountain looks nice in the distance, the much closer view is the office building on the opposite side of the road 😖 The staff helped me out when I asked if it's possible to change the room to a city view room which overlooks the cross-junction (sad the mountain can't be seen from the room but it gives me privacy to open the curtain so you win some and loss some) It's very close to Seoul museum and Gwanghwamun square is very close by. The convenience store is a bit hidden but can be found if you walk a bit further from the twosome cafe. I usually use the subway to move around during my travel in Seoul previously but staying at the hotel, I find it easier to go around by bus and there's many bus stop to keep you connected to various spots throughout the city. The airport limousine bus stopping close to the hotel is a plus too.
The hotel itself is nice and clean and the staffs are helpful. We stayed at 1 room for 3 people, with 1 queen bed and 1 single bed. We feel like the room is on the smaller side so it might not be suitable if you have a lot of luggages. Rooms are clean and they provide basic amenities like hairdryer, iron board, mini fridge, shower caps etc (need to pay for toothbrush though). Location wise, it is at city center, not too far from Seoul Station. However it is not the most convenient to reach, if you have a lot of luggages. The bus stops are located in the middle of the road. Less direct bus to myeongdong and other tourist areas (need to transfer). Overall we had a nice stay, only feel like the location is not the best compared to other hotels/ area.
This hotel is an excellent accommodation to stay. It has a metro in front of the hotel and also an excellent distance towards the city's center Myeong-dong. You can visit various things within 30 minutes of walking distance. The staff is very friendly and you can keep your luggage in the corridor while you are away before checking in and after checking out of the hotel. The noise was very much suppressed from outside, maybe it was also because we were on the 22nd floor. There are coupons for getting breakfast discounts when you only purchase for one person which is great and saves you some money. The breakfast facilities are excellent as well. The good is great! All-in-all I would recommend you stay here if you want a clean, a bit more luxe and a fine stay where you can get to everything within less than 30 minutes.

The hotel is right at the exit of Seodaemun Station Exit 7 and 8. The room is clean. There are cafes and convenience stores all within the area. Enjoyed my stay here!
My family had a nice stay at Shilla Stay Seodaemun. What we liked most is it's accessible to almost all modes of transportation. Like from the airport, we took the airport limousine bus and we were dropped off in the bus stop near the hotel which was really convenient for us as we travelled with a toddler and an elder too. Another thing we liked is that the front desk staff were fluent in English and were very helpful especially when we were having problems with the outlet, they provided us with adapters that we can use in our rooms. On the other hand, in terms of cleanliness, it looks like the room/toilet were not thoroughly cleaned. We see some dust in the room and some dirt in the sink even after the staff were done in cleaning. Hope they would improve in this area. But overall, we would still like to stay again in this hotel.
We booked the Shilla Stay Seodaemun for our first trip to Seoul, not knowing what to expect from the neighborhood or location. It turned out to be an absolutely fantastic location with the Line 5 subway just feet from the entrance of the hotel. The rooms were very small, coming from the United States, but we managed and they were relatively tidy - a little ding for the bathroom which had some seal peel and minor deferred upkeep. Otherwise, lovely staff, excellent location and we look forward to staying there again.
We love our stay at Asti. The location is superb and convenient being next to Busan Station. The staff are helpful and friendly, patient to answer our queries. The room is spacious and clean. We are very happy to be given a high floor room with great sea view and a view of sunrise by the window. The cleaning lady is sweet, gentle and responsible in keeping our room clean too. I would highly recommend Asti to others. Thank you Asti for making our stay at Busan a memorable one.
Our stay at Shilla Stay Seodaemun was great. The staff are very polite yet helpful. The lobby is excellent, and the room is cleaned every day. Yet one of the downsides is the gym. The equipment does not have many options. Other than that, exquisite!

We lost pyjamas, eye mask and some socks. Even a suitcase belt was missing all after housekeeping on our last 2 days of the stay. We informed the receptionist and they just couldn’t do anything to help. The housekeeping one day was even rushing us to leave our room so she can do her cleaning. It’s a bit ridiculous. Even tho we didn’t lose anything expensive but still very very disappointed…..
