Value Hotel Balestier, is kind of very budget friendly hotel. Hotel staff is very friendly and treated us very well. I was staying with my partner and i found this place is kind of very good to stay. Near by attraction 🧲 1. It's quite so near to whampoa drive where you can easily found best food or some local Singaporean delicious food 2. There is a good market for buying flowers for your loving one 3. Fruit and vegetables and also you can buy some necessary stuff at whampoa market. 4. Fair price also nearby so in case if you want to buy some quick cup noodles for morning breakfast please grab it from fair price. 5. Bus stop is just outside of the hotel 6. There is another restaurant ARF and they also offer very budget friendly food as well. 7. Nail art shop, laundry shop, bread 🍞 shop are just next to it so if you want to try some local market explore that's a good place. 8. Cleaning staff is very good and friendly too and they are perfect into their work. We always found our room so clean and feels fresh 😊. Drawbacks: 1. Mrt or subway station is nearby 1.8 km far , so just make sure you travel with ez link card which can help you while travel using bus . 2. This place is kind of center of the city so sometimes it takes time in finding bus or hard to find exact route for your destination as well. 3. Room walls don't have noise cancellation so sometimes you can easily heard your neighbourhood. But it can be manageable. 4. On very first day just after check-in i complaint about small bathroom because we use to have bigger bathroom in our country but after my partner confirmation I decided to staying here and enjoying my staying. So in case if you want to have bigger bathroom this might be not the place. But because it's a budget hotel so I think it's manageable easily. And of course I'm gonna visit this hotel next year with my partner again because we have some beautiful memories together with all staff members and local people there. See you next year 😊

No complain about cleanliness. --There is a bus stand exact infront of the hotel. Buses of maximum all tourist places routes stop there. Negative review: --Rooms are very small to stay for two persons. Bathrooms are also so small. --Maximum rooms in this hotel have no window. Our all rooms were without window which was very suffocating for us. Passing smells from rooms are also very tough. --There is no drinking water bottle in rooms. There are two water tapes in bathroom basin. One tape is for drinking water. But it was so weird and uncomfortable to take and drink water from bathroom. So we purchased water bottles from outside. --We booked one king deluxe triple bed room (1 double bed and 1 single bed) since my sister has two years old baby. The single bed was just a sofa foam on floor ground. And the room size was very small. However, we accepted. But unfortunately air condition in that room was not working. Hotel people could not exchange with another similar room. Because all similar catagory rooms were occupied as they said. So they just exchanged with normal standard double bed room. Though they refund deluxe room money, but we requested to give an extra bed or sofa in that double bed room, even we requested them to pay extra money. But they denied. So all over stay experience was not so good. --No staffs available for luggage carry. We saw only receptionists and room cleaners. Receptionists behaviour was not impressive and welcoming. -Location is not so good. And also there is not so good restaurants nearby. I would suggest that if you are a solo traveller and searching budget hotel just for sleep at night and if you have no any other option then you can choose this hotel. But for family travellers I would never recommend this hotel.

We stayed for 1 night as we wanted to stay at different hotels while we were in Singapore. Location is near bus stops which is very accessible wherever we go. We were allowed early check-in since our room is already available. We arrived around 11am and were pleasantly surprised that we can check-in early. This may not be true all the time since we checked in on a Tuesday so there’s probably less guests compared to other days. Our room doesn’t have bidet and there is no shower partition but that wasn’t an issue for the two of us so long as there’s hot shower available. I guess the shower head can be used as a bidet since the toilet bowl is close to where the shower head is - so you can picture out by now that the bathroom is small but again that is not an issue. The room is clean and there’s coffee and tea as a complimentary. Wifi is working well and the tv is quite big. We were able to leave our luggage(in the corner)upon checkout since we decided to roam around for a few hrs prior to our departure. They provide you with a claim tag to ensure your luggage is safe. Over-all, it was a pleasant stay and I know I would book again if ever I decide to comeback.
I recently stayed at the Value Hotel Balestier from 14 - 20 August 2025. Booked a standard twin room. Over-all, the stay and experience I had at the hotel was OK. It was value for money and had its charms (quiet as it not a busy, commercial area). Would I opt to stay there again? Maybe or I may also try to look for other hotels that are nearer to train stations and main tourist attractions. THE GOOD = Location is very accessible to the bus station (124, 125 & 130) that allowed us to go to usual tourist spots like Bugis, Orchard, etc. easily. Bus station is literally right in front of the hotel! Nice! For F&B, there is a Cheers convenient store at the ground floor of the building. The Whampoa Market & Hawker Place is a short walk away. I highly-recommend the Chuan Kee fried kway teow, Satay & fresh fruit juices. There is another hawker place along Balestier Road that serves delicious Mala hotpot (dry). There are malls nearby (1 bus station away). Hotel staff are friendly and very helpful and accommodating with our inquiries. Room is neat & clean, w/ hair blower, TV, water heater & complimentary coffee. AC is really cool! In the toilet, there is water heater, small tubes for shampoo, body wash gel and 2 kits of toothbrush w/ toothpaste. I try to be more eco-friendly so I appreciate the tap (located inside the comfort room) w/ premium filtered water for drinking. We use this to refill our flasks w/ water. There are smoking areas near the hotel for smokers. THE NOT-SO GOOD = Hotel is far from the nearest train stations (Novena or Boon Keng). You need to ride the bus to go to these stations or better yet, just take the bus straight to your destination/s. Toilet is small. No division for shower & toilet bowl area. Good thing the floor dries quickly after you shower but it can be slippery and icky (no bathroom rubber mat provided). Whenever we flush, there is an unpleasant smell that lingers in the air. There is no ref, cable channels are limited, WIFI can be unstable at times & we had to ask for extra pillows as each bed is given w/ 1 pillow only.
Value Hotel is our go-to hotel everytime my family from the Philippines visit me in Singapore. The staff are very attentive to our needs. Kudos to Michelle, John and the cleaning staff (forgot to ask her name) for their excellent service. Michelle is very cheerful, always smile and ready to assist. Thank you for going the extra mile. Value Hotel is very accessible to everything. To yummy hawker foods, malls, hospitals, bus stop infront of the hotel, near to various parks. Plus the hotel has potable water that you can drink. No need to buy bottled water. Rooms are clean and comfortable to. And most importantly, the staffs are very reliable and helpful. Truly a value for money. Keep it up!!!!!

Value for money because its a budget hotel but its clean and much bigger room compare to other budget hotel. We are a group of 3 but I booked a queen room with window good for 2 adults because there is no room indicated for 3 adults online. But when we arrived there they upgraded us to a room good for 3 because it is available in the area we just add 30sgd per night for additional person. It is nice to book a with window room. They clean the room everyday and refill coffee sachets.. This hotel is much comfortable than other budget hotel. There is a bus station just outside the lobby of the hotel. And restautants arround the area.
For me this is first time staying at Balestier area, I would say it is ok to go around as the bus stop just in front of it. Beside is Cheers and walking distance to Whampoa market and food stalls. Check in and check put process is quick and we could put our luggage after checked out or before check in too. The receptionist is friendly. The room I stayed is Superior queen, came with fridge and safe box, but the TV remote control is spoiled, the room is quite dusty even on the floor and the table. Hopefully they could improve it by adding slipper too and keep the rooms in clean might be the best
We had a fantastic stay at this hotel.the location is excellent,close to everything we needed for.,with easy access to transport,food,and etc. The room was clean and comfortable.everything was well prepared and housekeeping staff on level 4 was polite and accomodating throughout our stay. The front desk staffs,Michelle and John and the rest was warm, welcoming and always ready to assist,which added a nice personal touch to the experience., excellent and professional.😀
The hotel exceeded my expectations in every aspect. Front desk staffs are John,Ann,Ada and Michelle,they are superb and professional,attentive in handling things.Michelle always got a very friendly smile that brighten our days always,,awesome. 😊 Of cos,not forgetting the housekeeping staff on the 4th floor,always keeping our room clean and superb fresh nice smell in the room. Our recent one-night stay at Value Hotel Balestier was exactly what we needed – no fuss and comfortable. The location is incredibly convenient for us, as we're familiar with the local public transport system, making it easy to get around. (nearby bus stops and a lot of food options nearby) A minor issue arose when the shower wasn't heating up, but we were very impressed with the staff's prompt and helpful response. They quickly assisted us in resolving the matter, ensuring our stay remained comfortable. Overall, it was a smooth and easy experience.
The location is excellent right in front of a bus stop, making it very convenient to get around. There is a mini market next to the hotel and a 24 hour Indian restaurant, so you never have to worry about getting hungry. It’s also close to a hawker centre, only about a 10 minute walk away. The room is a bit small, but it is clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and very helpful. Overall, a great stay for the price.
