Excellent service, perfect location for my needs.”
I had a great experience at the Swissotel Sydney. I originally booked a stay for four nights and I had the option to move to the Four Seasons after the first four nights. I enjoyed my stay so much that I extended my stay for an additional three nights. Swissotel Sydney was able to accomodate my last minute requests and I did not have to switch rooms at all during my stay. I did move to the Hilton down the road because of the price for my last night in Sydney but I would recommend the Swissotel rather than the Hilton. Although I arrived early, Swissotel allowed me to check in early at 2 instead of 3. Hilton would not accomodate this and said I would have to pay an additional 30 AUD if I wanted to check in early. Swissotel also provided my with a luggage tag and said my luggage would be sent up to my room and it was there waiting for me when I arrived. Hilton refused to give me a luggage tag and just my luck my luggage was not in my room when I checked in. The keys for the Hilton room are also incredibly sensitive and I had two issues with the key being demagnitized when I was there. I had no issues with the Swissotel. The room at Swissotel that I stayed in was large and spacious. I also had an amazing view of the sky tower. Housekeeping did a fantastic job during my stay. I used the fitness center once and it was bit small but everything was functional. What I liked most about the Swissotel is its central location. I did not take a taxi once during my stay. I walked easily to Paddy market, Darling Harbor and Circular Quay. Various forms of public transport are easily accessible. The best thing is that all the nearby malls are connected via bridges or underground tunnels. This meant that when it rained I did not have to get wet at all and could get around easily. Even though I did not eat at the hotel, the central location meant that food was easily accessible as well. I am looking forward to staying with the Swissotel Sydney agan soon!
Great Location and Good Value in Sydney”
The staff and service at the Swissotel in Sydney was excellent. They were friendly and helpful yet not overbearing or stuffy. We had just been overlanding for four weeks when we arrived in Sydney with back packs and looking grungy but the staff was welcoming and interested in what we had done and where we went while in Australia. The room was very clean and the bathroom was more than spacious. We found that the buffet breakfast price of A$35 was worth the offerings of a typical weekend buffet but that the rest of the dining options were a bit overpriced. The hotel is in close proximity to the key areas of Sydney (10 minute walk to the harbor), very close to China town, Paddy Market, David Jones, Hyde Park, and Darling Harbor. I would highly recommend it as a place to stay in central Sydney!
Excellent!”
Swissotel is definitely not the cheapest of hotels in Sydney, but as they say, you get what you pay for. We had a very good first impression of the hotel with the courteous concierge on the street level. The Nespresso machine in our Club Advantage Room was brilliant! Perfect for early-morning and mid-afternoon perk-me-ups. Very close to shopping districts and all major attractions; Circular Quay can be accessed on foot in about 15-20 minutes, Darling Harbour in 10. The hotel is smack in the middle of the Market Street / Elizabeth street shopping district. Sydney Tower is also just 2 minutes' walk away. While we did not dine at the hotel restaurant, there are plenty of food options around - certainly, you won't go hungry here. Town Hall or St James train stations are about 3 minutes away, and the historic Queen Victoria Building is just across the road. Special mention goes out to Mr Ricky of Swissotel: he was our first point of contact upon arrival at Swissotel. Always polite, courteous and exceptional level of service - this is what I call service from the heart! Mr Ricky certainly did a great job at making us feel right at home at the Swissotel and is probably the reason why we would certainly stay at the Swissotel again if we visit Sydney.
centrally located, big rooms, friendly staff”
Room was Swiss Advantage. Very clean and big with a big bathroom. Only drawback is wifi isn't free for a room that's still a bit expensive. However, location was perfect. Near George Street, which is one of the main streets, and just beside Pitt Street where part of it is a pedestrian street with shops and street performers. Also surrounded by shopping malls. Just a 2min walk to Sydney Tower, 3min walk to Hyde Park, which is near St. Mary's Cathedral and the Royal Botanical Gardens, , 20min walk to The Rocks and Clark Quay which you can just walk across to go to the Sydney Opera House or take a ferry to Taronga Zoo. It's also just a 10min walk to Darling Harbour which also include the Sea Aquarium via Market Street. Woolworths supermarket which is open till 12mn is also just a 5min walk. Overall, we didn't use any transportation except a bus to go to Bondi Beach and a rented car to go to Blue Mountains. Didn't opt for a package tour and the concierge arranged a car rental for us where we just picked it up and dropped off at the hotel. Overall, great stay bec of the hotel's location, which is critical given how expensive sydney is, even their public transportation. Staff is also very accommodating.
Right in the Center”
My friend recommended Swissotel Sydney to me. It is what she said it is -- right in the heart of Sydney's shopping area! The hotel is just a few minutes walk to the train. Right outside are shopping malls, which means getting food is very convenient! The hotel service is also noteworthy, answering all our questions with patience and sincerity. Though it is more expensive than other hotels, we got a pretty good deal most likely because of the season, and because the area was under construction. If I visit Sydney again, I would definitely consider Swissotel Sydney as one of my options, and would stay there again if it fits my budget.
Dear Alvin, Thank you for making Swissotel Sydney your preferred accommodation choice in the city. We are pleased to hear that you had a wonderful time and we look forward to your next visit back. - Swissotel Sydney
weekend in the city”
We couldn't fault the hotel from the time we were greeted by concierge. The staff were exceptional, they were extremely polite and everything was executed with a minimum of delay. We enjoyed the use of the executive lounge, its ambience and all that it had to offer. We've stayed at many hotels in the Sydney CBD and would have to say that the staff and the convenient location of the Swissotel Sydney make it a standout.
Relaxing and romantic stay”
My partner and I chose Swissotel to celebrate our 3 year anniversary with a relaxing and romantic weekend in the city. The staff were more than accommodating, and we were greeted with chocolate strawberries and champagne in the room upon arrival! They gave us an upgrade, discount on breakfast (amazing buffet selection) and threw in WIFI as well. The room was spacious and the bathroom roomy - both were impeccably clean. The location was perfect for us to check out restaurants and a spot of shopping, and every staff member particularly those at front desk were friendly, happy to chat and extremely professional. I would definitely recommend Swissotel Sydney to locals as well as interstate or international travelers!
Excellent!!”
The location of the hotel is excellent, in middle of CBD, surrounded by the most famous shopping malls, museums and attractions. You can travel to anywhere in CBD within 30mins by trains, buses or ferries. Staffs are polite and helpful and informative. They can always response my problems or needs quickly. Rooms are large, tidy and comfortable. Definitely will stay in this hotel again when return to Sydney in the future!!!
More pluses than minuses.”
My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the Swissotel in Sydney. The room was lovely, spacious, and had everything you might need...an then some. Beds were as floating on a cloud, shower hot, plentiful and easy to use. There were only two areas where I was a tad disappointed. On the two nights we were there, I'd make a point of going to reception to order morning papers for the next day. On neither occasion did they turn up, and it necessitated another phone call - no big deal, but a small irritation. The only other thing was that our used breakfast tray (we were in room 1423), plus one from the adjoining room, sat on the floor outside our door from 10.00a.m. until that evening at 7.00p.m. A big plus, though, was that because we'd been silly enough to leave 2 small items behind, I contacted the hotel and the delightful Rose could not have been more helpful - she quickly addressed the problem and I have every confidence the "lost" items will arrive in due course. Thank you.
Dear Rosemary, thank you for sharing your recent experience with us. We apologise for the inconvenience that has caused you and we certainly look forward to the next opportunity to welcome you back again for a better stay experience. - Swissotel Sydney
Great Stay”
The Swissotel is centrally located in the Sydney CBD, just five minutes walk from the Entertainment Centre & China Town, Darling Harbour, the Botanical Gardens and of course Circular Quay. The room wasvery clean and well kept, the bed SUPERB and the bathroom roomy and even had a seperate bath. I would highly recommend the Swissotel to anybody wanting a weekend away or in town for an event or business. And most importantly, the staff were all efficient, helpful and friendly.I will definitely be coming back
Swissôtel Sydney”
Stayed at Swissôtel Sydney during my business trip. Perfect location: close to the shops, restaurants, train station. Easy access to the public places. Good size rooms.
Impressive”
This was my 3rd time visiting Sydney but my wife's first time. Location is perfect for any businessman wife. Located in the heart of all shopping and short walk to Opera House, Restaurants & Circular Quay in one direction and Darling Harbour in the other. Great place for people watching in the heart of the city. Was very impressed with the hotel room as they are updated, especially the specialty suites with balconies on the top floors. The executive lounge was a nice add on for drinks and food throughout the day as food and beverage is quite expensive in Sydney as a whole.
Great location and service with a smile”
We stayed at Swissotel Sydney for the first time during our 3 days visit in Sydney. The impression we had when we reached there, first was the friendliness of the staff at the ground floor before we proceeded to the lobby at the 8th floor. The front officer were very nice and helpfull aswell. As we went inside our room, we were so delightfull that the room was so clean. I will surely recommend this hotel considering the location and the clealiness they provide to whom travelling with young children.
Great Location, Nice hotel”
Located in the heart of the CBD and close proximity to Sydney attractions. Hotel was clean, spacious and perfect for our one night stay. I made use of the steam room which was good, gym was small, but sufficient. I was there at 8am and there were already 3 people in there and it felt a little cramped. Staff were friendly and helpful. Check in/out was a breeze and the concierge staff were great.
Easy, excellent location”
Very good. We have stayed in many hotels in Sydney, and used to live in the city. Swissotel is very central, I never had to wait more than two minutes for a taxi (can be a nightmare in Sydney) it's in the middle of the shopping district, the shows and plenty of sights. The hotel itself hosts many functions, but the guest are always looked aftere fine and all I can say is it was the easiest, best hotel I have stayed at in Sydney. luxury? Maybe not, by some standards but I did not want for anything, which is something I have not been able to say for a long, long time. Definately my choice next time.
Great Location”
swissotel is in a wonderful location with easy access to all major tourist sites, either within walking distance or a short train or bus ride. rooms in the hotel are spacious albeit a tad dated looking. service in the hotel however was excellent, kudos to all the service staff, and even the room service food was better than what i have had almost anywhere else in the world. have been to sydney several times but i would stay at the swissotel again the next time i'm there.
Absolutely Perfect!!!”
Before booking this hotel, I had done several researches and finally selected Swissotel Sydney. From the doorman to each of the staff inside were more than 5-stars Service. Bedding was very super comfy and enormous room size. Totally worth each $ spent here. It’s truly a hidden gem in Westfield area in Sydney!
สวัสดี Thanawat, Thank you for sharing your recent experience with us. We are pleased to hear that you had a great time with us and we certainly look forward to welcoming you back again when you next visit Sydney. - Swissotel Sydney
Beautiful hotel”
Stayed at the Swissotel for a short break after the City2Surf and enjoyed the stay immensely. From the unassuming entrance, to the opening of the hotel on Level 8. Its like a hidden hotel in the middle of town. We arrived early and was lucky enough my room was ready. The rooms were clean and comfortable, the staff at the concierge desk and housekeeping always friendly and accommodating. The italian gentleman (I did not get his name) in the Crossroad bar on Tuesday evening was nothing short of stellar in his service. Very close to Cockle Bay and Darling Harbour so eating out was easy and within a very comfortable walking distance. My only small criticisms are the shower door is not properly sealed so we had to request more towels due to the amount of water pouring onto the bathroom floor, however the housekeeping staff attended to that request quickly so no real problem. We checked the menu in the restaurant and it seemed very unappealing. Also the cost. Whilst Sydney is expensive I have stayed in other 5 star hotels and feel that this hotel does not quite demand the cost. However at a discounted rate would not hesitate to stay here again or highly recommend this hotel for any stay in Sydney.
Lovely place, right in the middle of the action”
Checked into the hotel on our honeymoon trip recently and had a lovely stay. And would definitely recommend this place to stay. Location: We were impressed with the location. It was right in the middle of major shopping malls in Sydney. All the major attractions were a short to at maximum 25 min walk away. Train stations were nearby too. Room: The room was well decorated and clean. We liked that the rooms were spacious and because the hotel is sitting on top of a mall, you get high floors no matter what. Staff: Staff were pleasant and helpful. Special mention to their concierge service for their impeccable service, one of whom was Kurao. He gave us tons of helpful tips and made us feel at home. Really appreciate it alot from him. Housekeeping was rather slow, especially at night. In fact, on one of our nights, we had to wait almost an hour for some pillows to arrive.
Visiting the Sydney Festival”
We were spending 5 days in Sydney during the Sydney Festival, and needed a centrally located hotel with good facilities. This was the first time we had used this hotel (we visit Sydney a lot) and we will certainly use it again. The atmosphere is great, the staff friendly and helpful, and the Executive Lounge first class. Much of central Sydney is within easy walking distance, and access to a wide range of buses is excellent. Rooms are large, well designed, and very comfortable. As the hotel is above Myers department store the lowest floor rooms are on level 9, so traffic noise throughout the hotel is minimal.
