A very unique experience and worth doing for a night or two. Was wonderful waking up to the chirp of the birds. Wouldn’t stay in the tents longer than 2 nights though. The beds were incredibly uncomfortable.

Love the surrounding enviroments. The room (upper level) are best for view towards other unit/scenery inside the compound but monkeys are all around esp in the morning. The facilities are modest. Everything was good for solo traveller like me.

Comfy short stay”
Our second stay at T star, this time just an overnight stopover before catching the ferry the next morning. It's very affordable, basic and comfortable enough. The site is beautiful with lots of greenery, but also loads of signage and advertising for additional things you can pay for to make your stay more comfortable. A few minutes walk away from the beach. Staff are very helpful and friendly and we would return. Bathroom smelt a bit mouldy unfortunately, there isn't good ventilation in there.

The hotel is very much budget friendly, located at Pantai Tengah. They do motorbike rental too. It gets hot in the afternoon as they do not have ac (at least in my room)

Decent place to stay for those on budget trip (Standard double room type)”
My wife and I stayed for 7D6N in double standard room. Pro: 1. Nice location at Pantai Tengah; away from the crowded area of Pantai Cenang 2. Easy to rent motorcycle and car as there was T-shoppe in front of the cottage for that purpose 3. Very reasonable price for that standard of accommodation, self-service concept 4. Refreshing nature sound (cricket, frog) at night 5. Very friendly & helpful staff who always smiling and provide reasonable suggestion on what to do in Langkawi Con (wrt double standard room type): 1. Not suitable for those who seek for luxurious place to stay as everything here will be done by yourselves 2. Room size was quite small with less space to walk, pray (prayer room was provided separately) and store your luggage (in case your luggage is huge). 3. Only towels, soap and toilet tissues were provided; the rest can be obtained on rental basis (eg. mini fridge, hairdryer, extra fan) or can be purchased at T-shoppe in front of the cottage 4. The room can be quite hot by the day as only 1 stand fan was provided. Sleeping at night won't be a problem except for the mosquitoes (mosquito liquid repellent and net can be rented) 5. Facilities provided should be clearly mentioned to guest prior checking in. There was a manual-type of notice pasted in our room stated that bathoom service is available for guest staying more than 3 nights. Based on only that phrase, my understanding was I can request my toilet to be cleaned as I am staying 6 nights there. However, the receptionist told me that that term refer to the outdoor bathroom that can be used by guests to clean themselves after bathing at the beach even after they check out. This somehow create confusion and slightly ruin the holiday mood as we are expecting that kind of service when we read the notice. Conclusion: Recommended to be one of the choices for your budget stay in Langkawi. Nice location, friendly staff. Kudos T-Star Cottage for your services :)

Beautiful Hotel in a great location!”
Our stay at the T-star Cottage was excellent. We stayed here for 6 nights and had a really comfortable experience. Located minutes away from the main strip with tons of restaurants and bars and duty free shops to choose from. The beach was also minutes away. which was really convenient. We found it necessary to rent a scooter for this island, and T-star had a scooter rental shop with discounts for those staying at the t-star cottages. It was a great deal. There is a great breakfast restaurant literally 2 minutes walking distance away and an endless variety of food nearby. We would highly recommend T-star to anyone looking to explore the flavors of Langkawi and looking for a relaxing stay.

Full immersion in nature”
T Star Cottage finds itself in a fascinating location: close to the quieter corner of Pantai Tengah, almost immersed in a jungle populated with groups of monkeys raiding the bungalows every now and then. It's the place to be if you want a quiet stay, listening to the sounds of nature. Due to the density of the chalet planning, however, sometimes - if the neighbor isn't as silent as you are - the situation may lack of intimacy. There are also lots of mosquitos - come prepared with repellent spray and / or rent a mosquito net at the reception! All in all, however, considering also the low cost of the hotel, it's incredible value for money. Definitely recommended!

I extended four times”
I loved T Star Cottage. I extended four times. The price was low for what you get -- a private cottage with your own bathroom and a small porch. All cute and tastefully done. The room was small, no hot water, and the porch was tiny -- but at this price I felt like I had a bargain. The landscaping has a lot of greenery. Every cottage has its own fish pond in front. Monkeys run freely and add local colour. My only real complaint is with the WiFi. It's quite good in the lobby area but only adequate in the cottages. When I go back to Langkawi, I will head straight for T Star!

Super place -- I extended twice”
I can't say enough good about T Star. Very cute cottages. Soft mattresses. Comfortable pouches on the cottages. Fish ponds and greenery everywhere. I extended my stay twice. Location is not great. It's on the edge of things. But for the price, I am not complaining. The WiFi is quite good in the lobby area, passable on the porch attached to your cottage, and lousy in the room. That is the ONLY reason I marked 'Facilities' down to 4 stars. Highly recommend !!!

Tropical Resort near the Beach”
My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 4 night stay at one of their cute room, on the upper floor (our room had air-conditioning). It's ideal for couples and backpackers travelling with friends and family, especially if sharing the same little 'house-like' structure. The interior and exterior reflects some of the local Malay culture in arts, with the toilets designed to be like that of a Balinese bathroom over looking the forest. The privacy of your own balcony area to chill and hangout at the rattan day-bed-chair with white cushions on top). You will also have a chance to observe the troop of monkeys from the forest! Just do not leave your bags or food items outside at the balcony area (one of the cheeky ones took my water bottle). We loved the concept that T-Star had, a tropical paradise yet at the coastal area. Walk to the beach was only 5 minutes away & right in front of the area. Transportation rental from their kiosk just at the entrance of the hotel also makes travelling around and exploration of the island easier. Motorcycles and car rental prices are good (helmets also provided for motorcyclists). The hotel is situated in a nice quiet area (Tengah Beach), with the more happening at Cenang Beach...allowing us to have the best of both worlds and come back to relax in the quieter environment. Only improvement needed: hot/warm showers. We definitely would recommend this to couples and backpackers for a nice tropical stay by the coast.
