    Dirty and smelly water ”
We booked this room because of the excellent reviews but weren't happy with it at all. The water in the shower smelled really bad and when we first turned on the tap the water was brownish. Also the beds were super uncomfortable And like 10 years past their expiration date. It's also pretty far away from kuta center so if you want to go for a drink in the evening you have to walk pretty far. The family who owns it is very nice

    Disappointing and sad (fooled)”
We experienced the same "overbooking issue" as described before. We booked T&T because of the excellent reputation but when we arrived the host told us that he need to give us a different room at his uncles place due to overbooking. The room at his uncles place called Ramay homestay (google Rate 2,0) was really dirty, smelly and moldy. The breakfast was a joke and rooms cost actually 150k when walk-in. After complaining about it we got a 50% refund in cash. Since we stayed not at T&T's we can not rate the accommodation itself properly but it looks like a risk to get fouled when booking here.

Very basic but staff makes the difference.”
T&T is Aboutaleb 2 km from Kuta center which we found an advantage. It is situated in a farmers hamlet which adds local colour. The rooms are small and basic, reasonably clean. The shower works. The owner makes the difference by his hospitable and helping attitude. Hè organizes whatever you want at a reasonable cost. He takes care for your safety (esp. women). Has a friendly smile all over his face. The nearby T&T warung serves delicious food and big portions. You have to be patient though as the plates seem to be prepared one by one.

    Amazing staff!”
The gentleman who runs T&T is absolutely fantastic and could not have been more kind of more helpful - he got us a great deal on a Rinjani trek, booked tickets to Flores for us, and even helped with problems with our cell phone. He even helped us get a cab in Mataram when we were struggling to find any transit! I could not speak more highly of him. As for the homestay, it's in a quaint, cute farmside location. Rooms are basic but clean. Slightly outside of town, but not a problem if you have a motorbike. I would highly, highly recommend!

    Great little farm homestay”
The rooms are very simple, but clean. The owners are really helpful - they go above and beyond to make sure you are happy. We were waiting for our transfer and it was raining heavily so we were worried that we would have to walk to the end of the driveway for the pick up. The owner called the transfer company and made sure that the transfer van would drive up the driveway for us.

    More like a farmstay ”
To be fair it is very cheap but you should know what you are paying for: a homestay in a farm with animals isolated from Kuta, you get there on a muddy bumpy path that turns into a river when it rains. Room is very simple with 5 ventilation holes in the room, consequently room is full of bugs, mosquitos, roaches, considering you have no mosquito met, it means you get dozens of mosquitos bitting you all night, also consider it is a farm, mosquitos and animals is a bad cocktail to get funny tropical diseases. No privacy at all as owner is in front of your room sitting and chatting whenever you open your door. Internet is very very slow. As a positive note, the breakfast was very good.

We booked the room for 3 nights but stayed for 10. Everything was OK- breakfast to the room, 24/7 tea and coffee, clean bedding and towels, clean bathroom. Wifi was sometimes working and sometimes not but it was quite fast. You can rent a scooter there, which is great. Convenient location- quiet but 3 minutes on bike to the beach/Kuta. The only bad thing was fan- it works well, but it's very loud. I felt very safe here plus the owner is very nice and helpful. Can recommend.

    Great budget option”
T&T is a great option for budget travellers, located in a small, rustic hamlet on the edge of Kuta. Rooms are clean and basic with comfortable bed and 3 speed fan. Each room has a cool shower and a terrace. Talim is an excellent host. Brrakfast is served on your terrace, scrambled egg, omelette or banana pancake. Although a simple homestay, there is a warmth about the homestay and we would have extended our stay had the place not become fully booked. Definitely recommended. Tip: try the fresh fish at T&T warung

You go for the price and location - you stay another night for who they are! ”
I really wish every homestay had the magic, care, customer service, smiles and food that Talim offers each client. He makes everyone feel so special. I am a well versed traveler and Talim and his family stand out as one of the greatest family businesses I've ever experienced. He rented me cars, helped book my Rinjani trip at a wonderful price just to name a few of the extra things. Also, his special Warung (restaurant) has the best whole grilled fish I have ever had. Would vote that man mayor of Kuta if I was a local. He is even building a school with board by board on his own with whatever he has for his village - because he cares so much about everyone. Sad to say good bye, but I'll be back.!

    Good service is priceless..”
From the moment we met Talim on arrival we had a smile across our face. He's humble and engaging and takes great pride in his homestay. We were smiling long after our departure.. The accommodation is basic but then that's why you're looking at budget accommodation. Having said that it offered everything we needed. Breakfast was offered every morning, banana pancakes were lovely. The homestay has a Warung (restaurant) a short walk from the rooms that serves good food and most nights has a fresh fish BBQ. It also has really good wifi for those needing access to the Internet. The homestay is a 15 / 20 minute walk from the town but if you're going to be visiting the local beaches (which usually is the main reason to visit Kita Lombok) then you'll need a scooter anyway. Talim had a good selection, ours was practically brand new, and let for a very reasonable rate. We were told of a local wedding taking place on one of the days and all guests were invited to come and watch as the bride and groom bands performed traditional rituals in the street. The measure of any service based business in my opinion is not so much what they do as a matter of course (though this is key) but what they do when things go wrong. Whilst we were there, another guest had an accident involving a local. Talim missed out on a wedding he had been invited to in order to ensure she was ok and negotiated between the two involved. We too were facing a possible flight cancellation as we departed due to activity around Rinjani Volcano. Talim gave us his number and said to contact him if we could not leave and he would sort accommodation either at his or another homestay for us. Impeccable service.

    C'mon!?”
I've never been into a 9.4 rated accomodation. And when I git there I was like: REALLY??? The place is far from the center of the town. You can walk (2km) but you need a light. It's a farm with horses nearby the rooms and with a lot of plastic garbage on the way. In our room there were no towel. No hot water and the room was really small. Talim, the owner is really kind and sweet, but nothing more or less than every other host I've found in indonesia. Yes the price is cheap, but with 2 more euros you can find a decent place to stay.

    Okay homestay with friendly host”
Pros: - Quiet location in idyllic village area - Cheap motorbike rental - Very friendly owner - Nice private seating area Cons: - No internet in the rooms, only available 300m down the road in the warung - Lots of mosquitoes due to the lack of mosquito nets on the holes in the walls - Very weak shower Maybe this place is better value in the off-season. We found it okay but we don't get why it's rated so highly.

Polite, helpful and very friendly owner”
Because of something bad happened to the previous guest, the guest can't check out from the "supposed to be my room". Thus, the owner, Salim apologetically replace our room with the one at Diyah Homestay, which is his father's homestay, not far from the T&T Homestay. One thing about Salim, he's very friendly, polite and treat us like his buddy. We felt welcomed instantly. The condition of the homestay can be improvised from time to time. But, those who are looking for warm welcoming from the owner and also from the locals, this place is the one. Get to know them. Be their friends. I just had 1 day staying here. And I would love to come back.
