Quiet and romantic rooms. Big Bed. Good Service. Convenient Location.
We had a good stay at Ta Som guesthouse. Room is spacious, even the bathroom. Bed was big and very comfortable. Location was just walking distance away to the city center and Pub Street. The guesthouse was homey, too, with balcony to unwind and relax at. All the staff were friendly and helpful, especially in arranging for our tour in Angkor Wat temples and to our Apsara Dinner with Cambodian Cultural show, and our bus transport to Phnom Penh. All in all, Ta Som guesthouse is recommendable.

    Good value and service
Close to Siem Reap centre but also not in the middle of tourism madness. Good base for exploring Angkor Wat. Offer free airport pickup and dropoff, can also help to organise driver at reasonable price. Clean, spacious room with free wifi. All in all a decent choice at low price.

in our stay here, the staff was very friendly and helped us a lot. He helped us a lot in where could we go for sightseeing and helped us arrange transport to whereevr we wanted to go. At night, he would come to our rooms and asked us if there was anything that he could help us with. it is a good and relaxing plce to stay in. One thing that touched me was he gave us a souvenier each when we were leaving. This is the kidn of service that will make travellers and hotel staff more than just customers, friends instead. truely impressed.

cheap price but not cheap accommodations ”
for night, you get wifi, airconditioning, breakfast, etc
ta som is, pound for the pound, one of the nicest hotels i've stayed in. as a frequent business traveler, i've stayed some expensive grandiose hotels only to find out that internet nor breakfast is not free. this hotel, at rock bottom daily rates, offers plenty of amenities free - cable, wifi, breakfast, a/c, hot shower, etc. the bathroom/toilet is cramped but clean. location is close enough for you to walk to the siem reap nightlife. plenty of atms and stores near by. you can also get a massage (authentic ones; no happy endings like those in bkk) for us$6/hr right at the comfort of your room. splendid place for the cost-conscious traveler looking a bang-for-the-buck room.

Excellent service, great breakfast, good tour guides, extremely helpful, spacious clean room
This is a really well-run place with good rooms, excellent English speaking staff, free Internet and great eggs, coffee & superb bread roll breakfast. Was there for New Year and they put on an amazing family party with all guests invited to eat, drink & dance the night away totally free of charge. I managed to lose a bag on Siem Reap containing all my important documents and they looked after me totally. The rooms are large and spotlessly clean with good pressure hot water and great balconies for sitting out. Very family friendly too. Great place to stay and highly recommended.

Good location, 10 minute walk to Pub Street and 25 minute tuk tuk ride to Angkor Wat, right next to a 24hr gas station. Some restaurants, laundry service, department shopping, within 10 minute walk. Nice breakfast area out front, decent WiFi. Family operated, there is always one or two people ready to help in the lobby area.

    Terrible experience ”
I stayed in a couple of budget rooms in Thailand so far and I know that a low price can come with less comfort. But for this price (10 $p/n) one should be able to expect at least a clean bed. I also don’t do often references, especially not bad ones like this, but since Cambodian courtesy doesn’t allow you to complain officially I thought this might be at least a way to show my protest and also help other travellers to not have a bad start to their Cambodian experience, like I had: The hostel is a gloomy place with a rather rude manager and low service. My room was smelly and gloomy, full of mosquitos and had a broken shower without warm water. The bed was the worst: the pillows smelled like old sweat and the blanket was an itchy old wool blanket. The mattress was so soft that my bum touched the wooden planks, which resulted in a terrible back pain on the next day. So I spent a terrible night hunted by mosquitos and only a small towel to cover, a sweater instead of the smelly pillows. I asked on the following day to replace the blanket for a simple sheet and was told they don’t have any. (Which is ridiculous since they have them on the mattresses.) I didn’t get an answer to my question what I shall sleep with instead. I had the staff smell the pillows, he would frown in disgust and replace them without a comment. Since he insisted on not having any spare sheets and didn’t react to my statement, that I don’t think this is okay, I spent another night without blanket in that stuffy room. The included breakfast is a farce. At 8:45 I was told I was too late for the mixed fruits. I got some bread with butter that looked and tasted like it has been weeks in storage and jelly that tasted like pure sugar with a strange aroma that probably should remind of strawberry. Coffee is served there only black. When I asked for milk I had a can condensed milk can served, which of course didn’t help at all in lightening the coffee. When I tried to order in the evening I sa

Staff seems good but the Manager isn't”
Staff are friendly. They speak English. The room is clean.
Everything was okay, acceptable level as 2 stars hotel except the manager's behaviour. On our arrival, the hotel asked for advanced payment. I had no small notes so I paid with $100. They brought change. Handed me the change. I put the money back into my wallet. Then the manager suddenly said he gave me back too much. I had checked the change and it was correct. I tried to explain to him but he still insisted he gave me $10 more. It was some part language problem. Then at the end, he just gave up and stop insisting for $10 return. No apology. His attitude ruined our entire stay in Siem Reap.

quite clean, very attentive staff, decent breakfast
Business ran by this local family. They can do better on cleaniless but anyway, the place is ok, the position is good (10 min walk to city center and on the main street to Angkor Wat ), the place looks safe and friendly (but they don't have safe box in the room neither at the reception, it will be a great improvement ), the area is ok to walk after midnight also Overall, a pleasant stay and good value for money Tip: try to book them directly (e-mail) , the rates are 30% lower than the ones published on various booking sites On demand, they provide airport transfer too, very useful.

    Services
We spent 3 nights in this guesthouse and were totally satisfied. They provide free pick up and drop to/from airport AMD also fruits and water. The staff is really helpful. There was a young tuk tuk driver guy (I think he does not belong directly to the guesthouse but somehow was always around) who came to see us at the airport and also provided a map and good recommendations. We went with him for a one day tuk tuk drive around the tempó es as well. He was a great and reliable guy. The guesthouse itself is nice and calm, rooms are ok, people are nice around. It is located about 10-15 minutes walk from pub street which is not a big issue. Highly recommended for everyone.

    Location, Friendly staff, and cost
My stay was good. This is a friendly place. I met some people on the journey to Siem Reap. They were staying at another place, further out of town, and at three times the price. Ta Som Guesthouse was in their opinion better. So I am happy with what I had. The only problem I had was on the third day, I wanted to borrow a bicycle. The chap gave me a bicycle with no front brake pads and the rear brake not working very well. I took this as an insult, why would anyone give me a dangerous bicycle? I adjusted the rear brake myself so that it worked. They want $2 to rent a bicycle. I gave them $1 and told them the rental fees should be used for maintenance! Sokin came with the Guesthouse, he drives a Tuk Tuk which is really a pony cart behind a motorcycle. He was very polite, and very good, and he made mine and a Japanese girl's journey a great experience. I'd highly recommend him.

This hotel was nice, clean and quiet. It is a little out of the way though, and although I didnt try it - I suspect it may be a little bit of a walk to the main area. Its easy enough to hire a bike though so if you're looking for somewhere quieter, this place would be perfect. Breakfast was also very nice.
