Best view in the world.”
Very good place to stay if you like turquoise water, snorkeling and calm. My bungalow was awesome, clean and not far from the water. The snorkeling is most awesome early in the morning. You can even see shark and if you are lucky the turtles. The breakfast is pretty good and the choices are varied enough. The staff is friendly enough. All in all I enjoyed my stay very much. The only issue I found is that you must leave a deposit of 1000 baht for the padlock which actually only cost 189 baht at the Seven Eleven. When you pay around a 100 dollars for a room you should not have to be bothered for a padlock that only cost a very tiny fraction of the total price.
Great place in lovely location”
Really enjoyed our stay here. We had a slight mix up with our booking through Agoda but Chen behind reception quickly sorted this out for us. Our room was lovely and good value for money. Other reviews are correct in that there are steep steps down to the sea from the resort - the trade off being you get great views from your room! Breakfast was simple but more than adequate and there are some great eating options a ten minute walk away in Chalok Bay.
Grat location . Staff don’t speak English apart of that they are very nice people, very helpful ;)”
Thank you for your hospilaty . Please make sure next time brekfast will be better ;)
The view is to die for. The water for snorkelling is out of this world. We stayed for 3 nights and on 2 days ou of the 3 we saw sharks!. The accomodation is rustic and the bathroom leaves a lot to be desired but having said that the view made up for it. The breakfast is basic but enough and the staff were friendly . The plus point has to be the views and the snorkelling, but the place is a little tired and could do with a little updating. Having said that we will most definitely return. I would like to add that their response times via email to questions were very fast which helped us as we only booked the day before arriving!
An idyllic place to stay. The 2-bedroom bungalow was perfect for us.”
Friendly and helpful staff. Returning to koh tao after 20+yrs - Rustic enough to be romantic & dreamlike, but had everything we needed. Paradise view from bungalow & restaurant. A few steep steps to the water and a short clamber to the beach. Enjoyed the exercise of the steps up to restaurant. Easy 10 min walk to Chalok. Very shallow coral at Shark Bay (which anyone can walk throughresort to get to) - tricky at low tide but still great fun and plenty of fish. Better coral on other bays but we did see a turtle here and small shark here. Overall an amazng stay. (And toiletries & breakfast provided!!).
A positive was the location ”
The hotel was very chilled out and authentic. The location was great just near shark bay and 10mins walk away from a stretch of restaurants. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. We did feel there were a few negatives though... To get to the beach, there are quite a few steps to climb down, some of which were very far apart so could be a little precarious at times, especially when wet. To get to the main beach at sharks bay you have to climb over a cluster of rocks, which is ok with some coral shoes but not in flip flops (I cut my foot). The beach is worth it after a 15min trek, and is great for snorkelling and nice and quiet. The sand is white and the sea is warm (and shallow) and so clear. For the room you have to give 1000THB deposit when you first check in to the hotel... which is the other end of a padlock; seems a bit much. The breakfast was okay but you can only choose one option and a drink from their set menus which is also 150THB. You can hire snorkels and fins for 50THB each. Our particular bungalow was occupied by a Tokay Gecko (the size of your forearm) who could be very vocal at night! At first we thought it was a trapped bird in the roof until we eventually saw it. The staff did try to find him but he was very evasive and liked his home, so we just adapted (on the plus side he kept the bugs to a minimum and having one nearby is apparently good luck in Thailand). The bathroom was pretty basic, our toilet seat was broken and overall had a shed like quality to it - the shower tray can only be described as a hole formed out of some concrete. There were no frills really, just lots of steps to get to main reception and lots down to the beach, so some physical fitness is required (you need to be stable on your feet). It is fairly expensive for what you get from our experience over the last month in Thailand, and we wouldn’t stop here again, but each to their own. One thing to be wary of in Koh Tao in general are taxi prices... they are very high
The location is brilliant. The view is breathtaking. The snorkeling is amazing.”
The location, views and snorkeling are all excellent. The staff are gorgeous and helpful. The stairs are a bit of a hike and health & safety hazard, it maybe difficult for elderly guests, but I hope it doesn’t change
The hotel was located in very good area but now the are under renovation.”
Good location for snorkeling Hotel still under renovation No hair dryer in the room The owner and staffs are very friendly
We had 4 people bungalow with great view and just a minute to the rocky beach. We had an amazing stay at the place however the facilities were not that good.
Nice place to escape world:) Chill and quiet place to be.
Good sea view”
Very good sea view , quiet , staff very friendly ,easy to access to "Shark Bay" where you can snorkeling and relax on the beach (small beach but quiet and private)
Quite, clean and comfortable”
Dont go! Terrible!!”
We made 2 bookings 3 nights. When we arrives they only saod we had a booking for one night and the wanted us to go to the other hotel they have that is cheaper. We fight for about 1 hour and then the said ok, we are going to clean your room, we arrived there at 3 and they gave us the room at 5,30. But the funny thing is that they gave us theor house, it was a horrible room nothing similar to the pictures and with no refrigerator, no sea view, no windos, no outside bathroom asi you can see in te pictures. We were very angry, we lost one day at the beach waiting for then to clean their house or somethibg alike and the wanted us to stay there, we have already paid for the 3 nights. So after another fight with the lady in charge the gave us a normal room, asi you can see in pictures. The bathroom needes somw paint and they never make our room, the just left a toilet paper a couple of towels and dos waters on the balcony. Shark bay was another dissapontment since there is no beach at all and the really small part has broken bottles everywhere so is really hard to get in the water.
Impresionantes vistas ”
Snorkling nickel.
