Non-smoking room was not really smoking free.”
Booked a non-smoking room. But the room obviously smelled cigarette. I claimed the smell and asked them if the room was originally used as a smoking room. They said NO but maybe the last customer smoked in room. In the end, they arranged me a bigger, better room, so I probably should stop complaints. Facilities are old, especially the room I got at first was awful, more than decrepit. Among many hotels in the area, you may get the cheapest rate here with Tachikawa Regent Hotel, but don't forget principle of "You get what you pay for".

Very convenient ”
A short walk from Tachikawa station, the location was very convenient - if you catch a rapid train it's about 27 minutes to Shinjuku. Also nearby are many bars and restaurants - as well as being across the street from a convenience store. The room itself was pretty standard, small but had all the amenities I needed. From the 4th floor, the wifi signal was strong. Also the hotel was able to hold my bags after checkout for the day so I didn't have to haul them around Tokyo. They did have some English speaking staff members, but knowing some Japanese would be useful. As a solo female traveller, I felt very safe during my stay, and the staff respected the do not disturb and left clean towels outside the room.

Comfortable and Close”
Easy. Hotel is close to the station and since I've been to Tachikawa several times before, it was easy to find. For someone who's never been to the city, it's kinda hidden. There's a maid cafe near the elevator entrance of the hotel, so if that bothers anyone, then maybe it's not for you. Hotel-wise, my room was clean, staff was friendly, and the free breakfast was nice. Room wifi is weak, in that it's hard to download songs from Itunes or watch videos on YouTube, for example. Wifi is good for just basic browsing. Overall a 3/5. Not too expensive, but not much different from most business hotels in JP.

The hotel is great for its price”
Overall, the hotel is very nice. Its cleanliness and comfort is great. However, it takes time to reach downtown Tokyo (roughly an hour or so) and if you do many round trips, the JR fare will become pretty expensive. It also takes around 10 minutes to reach the hotel from Tachikawa station.

Nice Place to Stay”
This my first time in Tachikawa at this hotel. Overall, clean, comfortable, with a friendly staff. There was usually someone at the front who could speak some English if necessary. The hotel was very quiet which was a nice change from most hotels in the US. The location was fantastic as it is a short walk to shopping, the train and monorail station, and the enormous and beautiful Showa park.

Affordable and comfortable ”
I was seeking a place to stay so I could join an early morning tour group near Mitake Station. This was affordable and very comfortable for a business style hotel. Room was average size, bed was clean and comfortable, bathroom was clean, and amenities were available. Breakfast was like what we call continental in the States. They had a couple sushi rolls, onigiri, tamago roll, cereal, and bread. They had miso soup packets as well. Coffee, milk, and juice was also available. You took breakfast back to your room to eat.

Close to JR train station”
This was a small (smallest we stayed at in Japan) hotel that got the job done. It is far from tourist spots but very close to the JR train station, which was our main concern. The room was clean, including the bathroom. The shower faucet was connected to the sink, so the bathroom was very small. There is a grocery store a few minutes away and a G.U. department store if you need to grab some cheap clothes or want to play in the their arcade. No wifi available.

Easy check-in, Same as Usual”
I came late Monday night, after 10 pm. Check in was easy, staff made an effort to tell me about the breakfast service and wifi. As a solo traveler for one night the only issue i had was from some other noisy guests. Always seems I get put on the same floor as families, or people with babies. Cant prove it yet, but as a foreigner, I'm pretty sure I'm placed on the same floor as other foreigners.

Rather far from Tokyo but it has a few big malls around it. Small place as you need to pick up your breakfast from the counter and eat in the room.
